What benefits have you seen from regular stepping?

Hi, ladies:

I have just started to do step workouts regularly and I really like them a lot. I bought most of Cathe's older workouts because everyone said they are a great introduction to her moves - and they are. I did PowerMax this morning, and this was a fun and intense workout, once I got past the butt-floss issues. LOL

Anyway.... I'm just curious, what kind of benefits have you seen from doing regular step workouts? I would like to lose a little weight, gain a lot of cardio endurance, and shape up my legs. (Of course I am doing other workouts as well, but I am going to concentrate primarily on step for this month.)

Hi Marie,

Step has always been my favorite workout so some of the advantages of Step, in my opinion, it really helps to tone the legs and glutes, calves, and you really do work your entire body arms, core etc., especially with Cathy's workouts. Step Blast is my personal favorite.

I've been doing Step for over ten/eleven years now. I do it twice a week now, and have added Cathe's kickboxing (KPC), Bootcamp, IMAX 2 and running to mix it up. I used to do only Step and I think it's really better to mix it up so that you work different muscle groups in different ways.

The fun thing about Step is the more you do it, the better you get and you can then handle some more difficult choreography, which makes the time fly by!!!!! It's so fun.
