I just did Step Max last week, and of the three combos, I personally found the third combo to be too high impact, and the most challenging to modify. I did Step Jam recently and found it more to my liking. I imagine we're all different wrt how much impact we can tolerate. I don't want much.
Another one that might be good would be Step Heat, if you can stand the excessive break down of the choreography.
The SB/SJP dvd has some great premixes that I'm finding very useful these days.
Do you have either the Cardio Hits or Classics dvds? They each contain 3 "older" workouts. I intend to start creating my own workouts using these, by mixing up combos from each of the workouts. For example, I might do Step Max combos 1 & 2, followed by Step Jam combo 3.
KickMax's low-impact premix is really, really good. KPC's 4th premix is "intermediate", and I enjoy it very much. I do all the kicks grounded.
MIC's step portion is 30 minutes, and if you do it on a lower step and take out the high impact, it's a great workout. That's also the case with Body Max's step portion.
Know what we need? A list of Pregnancy Mish Mosh workouts, similar to how Aquajock puts together her death-defying mixes on the open forums. Maybe we can work on that as a group?
Cheers,
Sandra
