What a good workout to start with....

Hi All,

I'm 44 and expecting twins. As of today, I am 13 weeks 3 days preggers. My doctor has not given me the ok to workout yet. Last week he told me to give it a little more time.

Anyway, I have been eating healthy and haven't gained any weight since I've been pregnant. I'm not in real bad shape but before I conceived I was about 50 lbs over my normal weight. Also, before I got pregnant I wasn't exercising reguarly --- maybe 2 times a week (mainly walking).

I have a fair amount of Cathe's cd's and I'd like to start working out as soon as my doctor gives me the ok. My question is which one of Cathe's workouts would be good to start with. I have Cathe's latest workout, 4-day split --- is that a good place to start?

Thanks.

When you get the OK, I would start off easy and see how you feel.
For me, the complete 4DS program is too much. I do the LIS out of that series and LOVE it. I have done the kickbox as well - just taking out the jumping.

But High Impact and bootcamp is too tough for me, personally, right now. (I'm 18 weeks and have been working out all along.)

I love LIC, Low Max, my treadmill on an incline and some of my TaeBo tapes these days for cardio. For weights, I've done the total body mixes of LIC and Drill Max, Supersets, Muscle Max and the upper body premix of 4DS.

Everyday is different, and just you have to go with what you feel like!

Hi Melimcn,

I'd thought of doing the Low Intensity Step from the new series. My thought was to start off by doing it without the step, then work my way up.

Thanks for the tip.

I agree i would start off slow. Like LIS or something low impact. I actually just did that one last night and there are some nice premixes on it also. LIC is also a good one.

Goodluck
