Well, isn't this just fascinating?

seems a big problem is the portion sizes have changed. Doesn't effect too me much cause I just eat how much I need to feel satisfied. Which I'm sure often isn't a full serving in that case.
We(people watching what they eat) often cook using lighter stuff than most too. Like exchange low fat or light ingredients for full fat. So I think in general as long as we pay attention to the ingredients and don't over eat, eating at home is still better. You know the resteraunts use full fat in everything for flavor. Even when I eat out though I make two meals out of what they give me. esp big resteraunts like olive garden. I'm full after the salad! so I tend to only eat a little bit of the meal and take the rest home for another meal. Even a chicken sandwich at chilis (which is probably LOADED and I don't get often.) I can only eat half of it and a few of the fries. I save the other half for the next day. Its huge! Most of the time I'm eating lite meals at home though that I know how bad every ingredient is and I think most here do that too. But yeah in general I think Americans load the fat on and don't think anything of it. Loads of cheese, grease etc. To where they expect a meal to be very heavy to even be filling. Eating lite would seem like starvation to them cause their bodies get used to that.
