Weird Protein Drink ?

This morning I wanted something other than coffee and decided on a hot protein drink. I tried my chocolate MetRX using water and then adding boiling water... would not dissolve for anything. I then made it as usual in blender (cold water) and then heated in Microwave and its perfect!
My question is : Does heating the protein drink change anything about how the nutrients are metabolized in your system? I guess I wonder because I dont reacll ever reading on Protein powders that its ok to make hot or cold and I know that heat/cold can change the "process" of absorbtion of some things.
Just curious as its a wonderful cold morning "hot chocolate" drink.

I've seen this subject come up on bodybuilding forums a few times because many were adding protein to their oatmeal.
Some say cooking the protein changes it. I think the recommendation was to add the protein after cooking.
I'm not sure how true it is. Like anything with nutrition, you'll find several answers to the same question.

Protein powder is probably highly processed anyway (and is not raw, but heated during the process). I don't think there's any problem heating it (except for strange textures, perhaps!).

Though microwaving does change the makeup of foods (but it doesn't make them radioactive!).

If you want to play it safe (in case something is changed during the heating), heat water on the stove to no more than 118 degrees (the temperature at which enzymes start to be destroyed, so I assume if anything else would be changed, it would happen at this temperature as well), which is just warm to the touch.
