weights/circuit/endurance

Now that I'm approaching 40 I've really started to focus more on weights than cardio (but still doing 2-3 pure cardio a week like KPC and IMAX1&2. Is circuit training cardio/weights different enough in intensity and moves that it can be done like the day after a muscle endurance workout? I don't want to wear them out :)

Hi Traci! It really depends on the structure of the workouts and how sore each specific muscle group is the next day. If you find that a particular workout is interfering with your recovery of sore muscles from the previous days workout (meaning you can't even push yourself to lift the weight because your muscles are sore to the touch) then you are better off doing a solid cardio that day (or even making that a rest day). If your leg muscles are extemely sore, then do either a light all cardio workout, or a circuit workout that focuses on light cardio and upper body weights(ie: my cardio and weights workout). Hope that helps!
