weights and weight loss

My specific goal is to lose 10-15 pounds. I have been working out 4-6 times a week with Cathe's cardio tapes and am very happy with the progress. I would like to add weights to my routine. I am wondering if adding tapes like power hour and circuit max is enough. Do I really need to do the more slow and heavy tapes. I already own all of Cathe's tapes, I just prefer to do more fast paced tapes. I would use the weight tapes twice a week in place of cardio. Thanks in advance.

My own personal opinion is to go for Power Hour a.k.a. Cower Hour. It'll keep you moving and it's more of an endurance tape than a slow weight training tape. That tape always humbles me.

Just a thought.

Keta. :D

Hi,

If you are brand new to weights, you should get nice results with strength endurance tapes in the beginning.

However, as you gain strength you may hit a plateau and may have to incorporate more "pure" strength tapes to continue getting results. (For continued results, you must challenge your muscles - e.g., increase weights in small increments.)

One thing for sure - strength training is an absolute MUST for fat loss and maintenance.
