weight work intensity?

How would you consider a weight work such as PUB/PLB, S&H etc if you go heavy till failure?

Would it be considered a low intensity or moderate?

Even after becoming a lifetime member w/ WW ( I still journal) I still always wonder about this esp. with Cathe's heavy weight work. My muscles that I'm working always feel thoroughly fried but I don't sweat as much as if I was doing say Imax2.

Suggestions / Opinions?

I always count Cathe weight workouts as moderate intensity. It is true that weights may not make you sweat as much, but I bet you are trying to catch your breath at times and can't sing! Compare it to how you feel walking (low intensity) and it's definitely more intense.

I started using a heart rate monitor a few months ago. I find that doing an hour-long Cathe weight workout, I burn about the same number of calories as I do in a 45-minute Spinning class.
