Weight Watchers Points

Has anyone joined weight watchers and tried the
1-2-3 success points plan? It looks interesting to me since you don't have to eliminate your favorite foods.

I'm 22 and thin but want to lose about 10 lbs of 'college weight', and I know my eating habits are to blame (I'll have ice cream for lunch!) If anyone can tell me if this program might help me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!!

Weight Watchers

Hi, I've been on Weight Watchers' point system for about three years now - I lost about 30 pounds and have kept it off. The point system gives you lots of flexibility - which some people find hard to deal with, but I really found it works for me. Good luck!

Weight Watchers 1-2-3

I have been on WW 2 years -- 6 months to take off 30 lb, and 1 1/2 years maintaining.
It is an easy program to follow -- no "forbidden" foods. The key to it is journaling; you write down everything you eat or drink and the points you have taken in through the day. It keys you in on portion control (i.e. that extra large apple may actually be 3 or 4 frout servings, not 1); getting your 5 fruits and vegies/day, at least 6 glasses of water, and 2-3 dairy (or calcium equivilants).
The leaders I had de-emphasized exercise; the program calls for 20 minutes/day and allows you to earn an extra point for each additional 20 minutes of aerobic exercise you do.
Hope that helps.
