Weight management - racks

I need storage ideas for weight training equipment - dumbells, barbells (2), & weight plates. So far I've only found club size racks or limited choices of questionable quality at a sporting goods store. I want the weights in my workout space but lining them up across the floor is taking up a bit of space. Ideas & recommendations appreciated.

Hi Debra!

I found a steel or aluminum shoe rack at Sam's Club for around $15.00 It has two incline shelves. My dumbbells fit on it perfect! It has room for my 20's, 15, 12, 10, 8, 7, two pairs of 5's and my ankle weights. It also has small posts that stick up on all four corners & I just hang my small weight plates on them. You know us video exerciser's~we can always turn something normal into something for FITNESS!! When I saw it displayed, I just thought that it would work perfect and it did. Just an idea and it wasn't too pricey.

Forgot!

I forgot to mention that it is on wheels! I don't think it will move very easily with all that weight on it though. It is very handy for just reaching real quick for the dumbbell you need. I used to line mine up on the floor also. Much easier this way and I keep them all in order from highest weight to lowest! Sorry, that's probably more info then you needed!

I wish I could draw this. There are sporting goods store that sell weight racks that are vertical - kind of like an A frame with holders going down both sides. Wider at the bottom than at the top. Much less space than doing it on the floor. I don't know where mine came from - it was an awesome Christmas present a couple years ago.
