Weight loss Checkin

I didn't start the check in sooner because I thought someone else may want to get us going this week.....but it looks like you have me again, :) and that's ok.

I finally got below that magic number. :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy

Writing down what I was eating really did help. Once you get in this mind set it really is not too bad. I feel much more in control when I don't just stuff food mindlessly into my mouth. I even had a gooey buttertart on Saturday, and I ate it with no guilt, and it was delicious! :9

Anyway, I feel great :D and I am off to do something aerobic!

How is everyone else?

Hi Susan,

I really had intended to start it this week but I have been sooooooo unbelievably busy that I cannot even think straight. My eyes are finally well but I am still having a little itching on my eyelids. I have had a huge migraine today so I had to skip my workout...bummer! I have done fairly well with my eating but not as good as I should have. I will have to get back on track next week. We are going to the beach for a couple of days this weekend so I don't know how my eating will be then. I'll try to stay reasonable...I'll TRY!

Anyway, hope everyone has had a great week!

Kelly

Glad that your eyes are feeling better...and that you get to go to the beach for a few days....I know you like it. :)

Too bad about the migraine and skipped workout. I never have had migraines but have friends who do and I know they are awfull!

I am going away quite a few times this summer and am wondering how I will do in the eating department. I don't think I'll be able to be very strict, especially in the cases where you are staying with other people and they are feeding you. I do hope to be careful though!

Have a happy summer. :)

HI,

I started my work out/healthy eating in mid December and have slowly lost 42 pounds. I'm at a point where it's very tuff to loose. But I stick with my work outs and do the best at counting calories. I would like to loose at least 40 more pounds. I am hoping by NEXT summer to loose it. They say a slow loss is better. BUt sometimes that is just hard to listen to.

I love reading the posts!! Everyone's so nice!

Kerri :)

Hi Kerri,

Welcome. Great job on the weight loss. I know it has been difficult but losing it slow is the best. Keep it up and you will be so rewarded when you reach your goal!!! Let us know how it's going. :)

Kelly

Hi Kerri, welcome from me too! :)

Good for you for sticking to it....losing 42 pounds is nothing to sneeze at....you have done your health a good deed. I am finally losing after staying the same for a few years. I thought I was watching what I was eating but in writing it down.....you really know!.....like the counting calories you are doing.

Good luck and hope to 'talk' with you soon. :)

Hi everyone!

Welcome Kerri - what a major accomplishment! 42 lbs. is a LOT to lose. Congratulations.

Susan - you got below your magic number? Fabulous!! Doesn't it feel great? Interesting that you found keeping a food journal to help. Everybody says that it does...I keep procrastinating. I think I just don't want any more paperwork! Guess I better give it a try.

Kelly, so glad your eyes are healed. You had me a little worried there for awhile! So sorry about the migraine. I get migraines so know exactly what you're going thru. Hope it wasn't a 3 or 4 day one.

Okay, I'm back...just got on the scale for the first time this week & I lost 3 lbs. Yipee! :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy

Have a great weekend everyone!
Ruth

Good for you Ruth! One is very nice....but 3 does make you want to do the dance of yoy! :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy (remember that crazy show?)

I wonder what the scales will say when I get on them on Monday?

Yes indeed, using a journal has been a good thing for me....sometimes I have to estimate, but still, I am much more aware of what goes in.

Sure does give you a lift when I see those scale numbers going down!

Hope you guys all have a wonderful weekend......and let's be careful out there. (what can I say.....I'm easily influenced by t.v.!) ;-)

I just got my Weight Watchers At Home kit, and it's just GREAT!!! I love the points calculator and all the books! Thanks for mentioning it. :7
