Weight Loss Check-In

Happy Monday everyone!
Hope you don't mind if the new kid on the block starts the check-in. I just weighed myself and am down a pound. :)
I was hoping to be down more, but my week wasn't stellar. I usually try to eat healthy 6 days, and have a free-eating day on Sunday. Well, this week, I also had a bit of a free-eating-"evening" on Friday night, then had my free-day on Saturday instead, then ate clean all day Sunday but had a little bit of cheating on Sunday night, too. This, combined with working out only 5 days instead of my usual 6 days (needed an extra rest day from muscle soreness!), would definitely explain why I wouldn't have lost more than 1 lb. Actually, I "had" lost 2 lbs. mid-week, but too many cheat days & evenings resulted in a net loss of only 1 lb. I hope you all had a successful week. I am starting up the "Featured Rotation" today and planning to do MIC here in a little while. Hoping that participating in this group rotation with other forum people will be a motivating factor. Maybe some great results will be seen by sticking to the rotation and eating right the whole time. Gonna try my hardest!

Deb, I think the one pound is great. I know it's slow but at least it is not one pound gained. Just keep at it and it will come off.

I did well this week. I have lost 4 pounds but those are pounds that I have actually gained back this year. Soooo, I am starting just where I was at the first of the year. Hopefully, the pounds will come off and by this fall I will be at my goal.

How is everyone else doing????

Oh and thanks Deb for getting us started! :)

Hey Kelly!
4 pounds!!!:-wow
That is awesome!! It doesn't matter if they're pounds that have been lost before, found before, whatever! You lost 'em and that's what counts. Great job!

I wanted to mention something funny...after my check-in above, I did MIC (the whole thing) and was soaked with sweat. I then removed my workout clothes which were heavy with sweat, and also "used the facilities":-rollen, and then out of curiosity I weighed again...and discovered I was a pound lighter than when I got up out of bed. This made me think that we should take these "one pound up" and "one pound down" weeks with a grain of salt and not let them discourage us too much, but rather try to look at the big picture over the longterm.:)

Nice to see some new 'faces' here.:)

I am just home for the day and then back to be nearer my Dad. He is still very weak and has been in the hospital for two weeks now and will be there for a while to come too. We are looking into a retirement home for him when he is released, at least for short term.

Keep up the good work guys! You are all so positive and doing very well! I weighed myself on my scale here at home after two weeks away and found I haven't gained and may be down a pound (if I can really trust that scale). I haven't been doing any aerobics but I did try to do some push ups and squats and stuff on one day. I am so looking forward to throwing myself into a fun aerobic tape.....as we have noted before it can be such a release....but I have no where to do it at Dad's place and he gets top priority over my fitness program.

Thank you so much for all the prayers and good wishes you all sent...it is very much appreciated! :)

Hi Susan,
Your Dad remains in my prayers. I hope he's able to leave the hospital soon. Hang in there. The great thing about your weight is that you didn't gain! ALWAYS good!
Kelly, good job, girl! And...ahem...every pound I lose now has been lost & found before! Sigh! :-rollen
I too have lost one lb., which probably means little or nothing. But...no gain!
