Weight loss check-in

Well, how goes it everyone! My progress has been slow because of this back pain but I started back slowly this week and my eating was pretty good today. My doctor gave me something for my back but he also gave me a stronger vitamin and I "think" that it has made somewhat of a difference in the way that I feel. I hope it helps anyway. I will wait and weigh myself in a month to see if I made any progress.

How is everyone else?

2 workouts last week:

* Volume 4
* Kickbutt Combat (a CIA video w/Keli Roberts) Whew !! 90 minutes of Kickboxing,jump rope drills, strength and 15 min stretch. I had to rest here and there but did okay. I've had this tape over a year and finally did it! I have more that I've never done from a splurge last year...

I've actually gained 2lbs, but no whining for me, I just have to
get more disciplined. My cardio endurance is way up so I'm happy about that. I know that my eating has been a hinderance for me. It is really improving though so I expect to see weekly drop in
my weigh in's going forward.

Hi guys,
I always read your check-ins and am always hoping you're doing well, and happy when you have good things to report, etc. etc., and it suddenly dawned on me (DUH!), that I oughta join in on this check-in, if you don't mind!
My name is Debbie and I started out using Firm videos in Jan. 1999, then by 2000 had discovered Cathe. I am currently crazy about Cathe's strength & cardio, and also Christi's cardio, along with Mindy Mylrea, and a few select CIA's. Since I found Cathe, I haven't chosen to workout with Firm videos anymore, but I do credit the Firm with teaching me about working out with weights.
Anyway, the really sad thing is that in these 2.5 years of working out with these awesome videos, I've done nothing but GAIN BODYFAT!!!! Well, that's not completely true...I "have" gained muscle mass, but it's difficult to notice because of all the fat I have ALSO gained. My trouble is I LOVE to workout, but I also love to EAT. I can eat great for max. 2 weeks, then suddenly I fall off the wagon and become a bottomless-junkfood-pit for a week or 2 or more. Of course, this is a recipe for GAINING weight, not LOSING weight.
I really enjoy BFL nutrition plan, and if I could just stick with it consistently LONG ENOUGH, I know I'd get results. I currently weigh 141 and am only 5'2" tall. I would love to get down into the 120's. I am using fitday.com, a chart on the fridge, a couple of email lists, and now this check-in to try to make THIS time be the time that I stick with it!!!! Well, sorry so long, this is probably more than you needed or wanted to know about me, but thanks for allowing me to be a part of this check-in. I'm looking forward to announcing good progress every week!!! :)

Crystal, glad you are doing so well. I wouldn't worry about that 2 lbs which it doesn't sound like you are. I think part of being able to lose weight is having a great attitude about the process. You'll get there with the weight loss, just try to enjoy the journey. I know some days that is easier said than done.

Deb, welcome and good luck on trying to lose your weight. It is soooooo hard because food tastes so good. I can identify with you because I LOVE to eat. I would count it a hobby if that just didn't sound so pathetic. :) Anyway, all you can do is take it one day at a time. I would love to weight 141 but of course I am 5'9" so I don't think that is going to happen. My goal is 155. Again, welcome to our humble group and will look forward to hearing about your success in the future!!!!

Ha, ha Honeybunch! I am not gutsy...actually I am hoping that the public journal will be just one more added incentive! I'll let ya in on a secret.....I was actually afraid that posting the website would seem kinda like "begging for attention" or conceited or something, so I am glad you (and hopefully no one) are not taking it that way. Ha ha, with numbers like MINE, it certainly isn't a "conceit" issue! More like a "humble pie" issue!
Anyway, thanks for the welcomes all!

P.S. I forgot to mention that I am in a great deal of pain today and it's Cathe's fault!! LOL!! I did MIS yesterday and went heavier than usual, and also hadn't done MIS in a month or so, and I am literally HOBBLING today! But you all know what I mean when I say that it hurts sooo good! ;-)
