Weight Loss Check-in 7/22

Hi all :)

I had a terrific week, thanks to all of you! :)

There was something about not wanting to let you guys down that kept me on track all week. I ate my ice cream, don't get me wrong, but I controlled my portions, working them in to my daily calorie count.
I had a 3lb loss this week, probably residual pounds from the prior 2 weeks when I lost nothing, and a 1 inch loss. I am going to repeat the same behaviors this week and hopefully maintain the control. It felt really good to eat well all week, and I want to keep that feeling going. :)
I hope there are many other "losers" this week, I'll keep my fingers crossed! :)

BTW: Honeybunch, if you check us out this week, thanks for the tip on the low fat ice cream! Healthy Choice "Tin Roof Sundae" is absolutely decadent, and only 120 cal/2g fat per serving. :)

Have a great week everyone,

Donna

Hi all!

I did not have a loss this week. I had a 2-lb. gain! UGH. I think I am gaining what Donna is losing. Gotta get back on track with the eating. I went to a friends lake house this weekend and ate my heart out. Oops. It was good though.

My elbow has been hurting (tendonitis) so I can't do any weight lifting for a week or so until it clears up. That stinks. But, hopefully some extra cardio will make the scale budge this week.

Good job Gettinfit@38 on those 3 lbs!! Way to go.

Hot diggity! See, you CAN have your ice cream and eat it, too! That's why I keep trying to push the Dr. Shapiro books...that's the kind of stuff he promotes. My favorite is his acceptable chocolate binge. Then there's the "bread binge"! Oh joy!

Donna......congratulations on the 3# loss :). Glad you have found a way to put the ice cream eating into your schedule. I was rooting for you......but then....I'm rooting for all of us :D!

Linda.......it sure is easy to get carried away with eating when you are away with friends. You don't even realize how much you take in. Sorry about the 2# you 'found' :-(. I'm sure you are back on track already.

I am down some....just a little again....1/2#. I stuck to the journal and averaged 1750 per day. Slow going, but I am happy with it. Doing each body part 2 times per week (MIS right now), about 3 ab workouts, 3 stretches and 4 cardios. I'm sitting here typing this waiting for the Powerstrike I ordered to come....I wanted to do it today....if it isn't there I'll do Totally Hot Cardio.

I don't know when I'll be back here again. I am going on some day trips and a few overnighers during the next few months. I may read the post here from time to time but probably won't post myself.

I'll be thinking of you guys :).

Cruncholi: Sorry about the 2#, but maybe it's more "water retention" weight than an actual gain. You'll bounce back :)

Susan: Congrats on the 1/2#, a loss is a loss in my book! :) Look forward to hearing from you once you return from your outings! :)

Yeaaaa Donna! Glad you did so well and was rewarded with a 3-pound loss. Keep it up. I KNOW that ice cream is hard to resist.

I'm sorry that you found two pounds Linda but don't be too discouraged.

Susan, hurry home! Glad you lost some also. :)

I, on the other hand, gained a pound. I am so disgusted and don't know what to do. My eating was excellent except for one day. I know one problem is there has been no time for my regular workouts. I have worked out just not as often because of one thing and then another. I am hoping LIFE will get back to normal fairly soon. We installed a tub/shower unit in our bathroom and that has been one big headache and we are not finished yet. We have been working on it since Saturday. Well, maybe next week we bring a loss for me. I sure do hope so!!!!

Donna...congrats on the 3lb loss and the ice-cream-control!! You kick butt!! I'm sad to say that I gained 1 lb this week after 3 weeks of no change, but I ate too big a meal on Sunday night and I weigh in every Monday morning, so maybe I really didnt gain. Boy, I can talk myself into anything! Needless to say, I'm trying to stick to around 1500 calories a day this week, knowing that if I'm hungry I'll have to up it a bit. My workouts have been decent at least. I twisted my ankle last weekend doing who knows what so I've been doing lower impact cardio like Powerstrike lately. I'm hoping to see some progress again soon, I just need to get my act together!! On a positive note, my arms seem to be getting a bit more defined lately. I've been doing more of an endurance oriented weight routine using PH (omit the leg work) once a week, the upper body portion from Body Max once a week, and then either Corey's GHAS, Tamilee Webb's I Want Those Arms or some other other endurance routine once a week with shorter cardio thrown in on strength days. One of my cardios is the cardio portion of Power Circuit and another is riding the recumbent bike. My knees have been achy lately so Ive been taking it easy on legs lately. I'm going to try Margaret Richard's Sculpture Lower Body tomorrow for the first time. Congrats to everyone!

:) Stacy
