Weight Lifting Gloves?

I have started getting callouses on my hands from lifting my barbell. I would like to get some weight lifting gloves but I don't know what to get. Any recommendations?

I always end up with gloves by Grizzly. I love the ones I have now, they have a 2-3 inch velcro cuff around my wrist that gives me superior wrist support. This helps so much with moves like tricep 'skull crushers' aka lying extensions with a barbell. I'm a massage therapist so calloused hands are not an option, gloves are great for keeping my hands callous free. HTH.

I have a pair of Nike ones, I got them at Dick's Sporting goods. I was getting callouses from pullups & these are great! And I love them because they're hot pink. :)

My gloves are also from Nike, mine are light blue and came from Dunham's. In Cathe's older videos, she uses Harbingers.

I just bought my 1st pair at Target for like $9, I was going to get more expensive ones, but I wasn't sure how I'd like having them on while working out. So far, so good. And my hands thank me for it. Only prob I had is the women's only come in size small pink. I had to buy mens.

I'm actually in the market for a new pair!

I have lt. blue Nike ones (from Dicks). While I like that I don't get calluses, the inside seam can really hurt sometimes. And the finger part doesn't seem to come up high enough.

Personally, as a girly mom of 2 girly-girls, I would LOVE a pair of hot pink gloves!

I have several pairs, and because I'm vegan, they are all non-leather.

My favorites are a pair of black Schiek's with a wrist wrap : http://www.schiek.com/gloves.html.

I also have a pair of GoFit pink ones (not my first color choice, but the only color they had in the women's style--and it's not a bright pink, but a pale 'girly' pink) and some Bollinger hand-wrap gloves (they aren't full gloves, but wrap around the hand in back and secure with velcro, and have two loops for the middle fingers--they are good for grip, with a very textured rubber pad on the palm, and for avoiding calluses). I haven't had the GoFit's for very long, so don't know how durable they will be.

I'm also interested in one of the Altus styles Cathe wears in one of the 4DS workouts (which is also non-leather).

I prefer these:

I didn't wear gloves for years b/c I think they're disgusting--they get sweaty & stinky, you can't really wash them, & the cost adds up if you replace them every 3-6 months. The result was some pretty macho callouses.

Anyway, a friend of mine from the gym patented these & gave me a pair to try. Now I'm hooked. They're lightweight, they're pretty durable (I'm on my 3rd pair over the course of maybe 2 years), they're inexpensive & they're comfortable. Most importantly, they don't stink! :p

That reminds me, I have a pair I got when I was doing a lot of windsurfing. Don't remember the brand but water did not seem to hurt them so maybe they are washable to a certain degree.

The Scheik's I have are machine washable, as are my 'finger loop' palm-pad type 'almost gloves'.
