Weekend Plans

That's sooo sweet, Webgirl! Thanks! And I actually do like the East Coast - before anyone really thinks I don't. I love the trees and the wonderful thunderstorms in the summer - and so much more.

The climb, well, I learned some more details and because I was not comfortable with the way it's being handled, I decided to forego this climb. Which does not mean I am not still fund raising for the American Liver Foundation, I'm just going to find another way of doing so. I seriously do believe that without the money from donations so many diseases will never cease to become death sentences. I think each cancer is the worst when it's some you love. So, this is the cancer and the cause I'm running with. *steps off lecturn*

Well, I think it's ok that you decided not to do the climb. I decided not to do the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this year, but I am still going to participate in this cancer cause. We are going to cheer the walkers on the route this year instead of being walkers.

To see the many cheering sections along the route last year when I was a walker really meant a lot to me and provided tons of motivation to keep going. So, I will be doing a good thing and showing my support. I have donated, although not nearly as much as I would have had I done the walk this year. Every little bit helps though.

We all make a difference in someone's life no matter what way we choose to participate in such events (be it a cheering section, raising big bucks, or being a volunteer).

Thank you for the update!
