Hey fitness friends, :)

Have any plans for the holiday weekend?

I'm not working out today as I'm feeling under the weather, but hoping to be back for a workout tomorrow.
Besides that, just watching BBC's War & Peace and doing more moving stuff. There's still so much to do! We have been getting some much needed rain.

Whoa. You are up early. Aren't you on the west coast? Good luck with your moving.

This morning I did RWH LIHI Legs. I don't have time for much more as I am heading out of town to move my daughter to university. I think I shared with you all that she is going to my first university - my dh's too. And, she will be living in my old residence and on my old floor. I just can't get over how uncanny that is. what are the odds? There's like 21 universities in ontario and I don't know how many colleges, not to mention the number of residences on offer and she ends up exactly where I was???????????? Joy guides are playing tricks on me to get my attention I think.

That's really cool Ceci! :) What will she be studying? Does she know yet? Have a nice drive. When do the trees start to turn in Eastern Ontario?

Today I did 37 minutes of the Advanced Taebo #11. Then I am doing a plank challenge where you hold a plank for increasing length of time so today was a 40 second plank. I have never been able to do a plank for very long so I am giving this a try. First 2 days were holding for 20 seconds. Yesterday and today was 40 seconds.

I tried adding some of those feet out and in while holding the plank position but not able to do to many.

Hi ladies,
Yesterday my son was at home sick and I was also under the weather so I worked from home and did not w/o. In fact I moved very little.

Today we both feel better so he could finally go train again. Did I mention he made the selection so he will be playing the highest level possible in NL and that means 7-9 hours training per week and games across the whole country! Good thing it's not that big a country so max 2 hr drive each way.

Siobhan - that is real funny. Such a coincidence. I hope she will be real happy there. What is she going to study?

Today I did Cathe kickbox incl heavy bag and Shaun T dance w/o... One of the Cize ones. We also rode our bikes to the beach so my son could experience the Pokemon madness and join it. He had a lot of fun, and it was lovely weather, 20 degrees and dry so I won't complain about biking and walking about watching him play.

Have a lovely weekend. I wish we had a holiday weekend. Next day off is Christmas.
 
Hi girls, hope you are having a good weekend......I didn't do much yesterday, having the "blahs"....hopefully today will be more
productive ! I did do a ICE mixed workout last evening., only about 20 - 25 min. I have tomorrow off too, so hopefully the rest of the weekend will go better. Everyone have a good one........

I wish we had a holiday weekend. Next day off is Christmas.
Oh wow, yeah, this holiday weekend is for US, Canada & New Zealand ....sorry I didn't think of that! :oops: I suppose you have a worker's day on May Day? Anyway, not having another holiday all through the winter is awful! We have thanksgiving and remembrance day in October and November. lol. Maybe we are spoiled here!
Way to Go!!! on your plank challenge Annette!! I like doing those type of things as well. My side plank is stronger than my standard one ... not too sure why.

This morning I did descending ladder 12-1 of KB Swings & then Cathe LIVE Solid Cardio plus HIIT. Far too many jacks for me, lol, but a real good workout anyway!! Have a busy day ahead now. You all take good care!!
 
Well I did better today with my workout ....I did Cathe Live Push Pull Total Body Express( I love that workout)
Just doing crunches in the core portion ....& then did 15 min. Walking workout Leslie Sansone DVD...so I think
I am done for the evening, except for my walk w/ my dog.....it sure has gotten hot today again, yesterday was a
Very pleasant day, temperature -wise....
 
Rest day for me everyone. My dh flew home and I'll head out tomorrow. Maybe. My daughter is studying psychology but she is only 17. It's too young to move away. She is having fun already. See you all Tuesday.

17 is indeed young to move away and start uni!
Sunday I walked quite a lot as my son has gotten into playing Pokemon Go, so I walk with him while he plays. It's still crazy busy in the beach town near us with people playing Pokemon Go. Sunday was the busiest so far and you guys have seen pictures of how busy it was like a month ago.
In the evening I did Body Beast Build Chest & Tri's. A real good w/o, but not really fun. Thinking of doing at least 30 days Body Beast, but will need to add some cardio stuff to still get the fun factor in.
 
Aww, Ceci ..... sounds like it's little tough for you having your baby move away. I also went to uni at 17 from a teeny tiny town & it was alright! :) Especially with living in residence. There are so many supports as you know. Does she have any gfs or bfs who will also be staying in Ottawa?

Henriette, it's funny with this Pokemon thing .....many of the parks that DH & myself often go to for walks or just to have lunch have many more young people out and about in them walking & being guided by their phones (not all young, but mostly). Just this evening on a walking trail, there were about 45 people under 20 yrs old or so just circled around one spot looking for something with the phone. I know your boy is already into sports, but I was thinking that for parents who really try to get theirs off the sofa, this might be nice. At least it is some exercise and Vitamin D I guess! ;) 30 days of Body Beast! You go. That sounds excellent (& tough).

Plus, I usually work out 4 or 5 days per week. It's been more like 4 as of late with everything else to do with moving.
 
Didn't have a lot of time this morning. I did the Barre portion (13 mins) or LIVE Long & Strong Legs & added on more long held stretching.

You should try this one, Elsie, it's a good one, moves fast, only about 40min.
I think I'm gonna do a tower upper body mix this AM...then who knows?
 
I got workouts in for today, early! Did tower upper body mix (30+min) and a workout blender step warm ups
Workout, also approx. 30 min. Both felt great....now to laundry! :(
 
Hi.

Today I managed to squeeze in Beast Beast Build Legs between giving a training and picking up my son from his. Not a minute to spare, but it felt great getting it done so I could relax with my crochet project and Netflix later in the evening.
