Morning girls!

Today is LIC...i need a good sweatfest and i had to do a circuit so why not a cathe one:D I haven't 'seen' her all week and I miss her:eek:

AndreaH-Love whisky sours too...how are you liking wii fit? I thought about getting it when we get back on our feet(finacially) Have fun today!

Roxie-What about the 30day shred are you unsure of? I will admit that Cathe is by far my favorite instructor...it has taken me almost two years to 'let' other instructors into my life(lol) I love the intesity of 30 day Shred...and its different. Right now im doing circuits to help with my weightloss so it fits perfectly into my rotations. im gonna try and do level 1 and 2 once a week. Let me know if you have any results with doing it 3days a week.

Jean-Your trip sounds like so much fun...im glad you had a good time!

Becca-What workout are you doing today? How are you kids doing?

Elaine-How are things with you?

Andrea-What are you up too today?

Good Morning,

Today is a catchup day. I need to do TJ and 30 day shred then do a stretch to get all my workouts in this week.

Amelia-its to much like PE in grade school. I think its just because it makes my foot hurt and my knees. I am just not a jumping jack kind of girl and pushups are evil. I don't know if you have done this workout yet but the side lunges with the arm raises are really hard. I don't think I could do this more then 3 days a week. I am now starting to get shin splints so I need to switch my shoes, I believe I am seeing results but I am also mixing it with TJ, but next month I think I will mix it with Cathe I miss step aerobics.

Roxie-I did this workout thursday(or was it wednesday?) I did level one,two and the first circut in level three. I know the move your talking about,sige lunge with front arm raises....What weight did you use? Maybe it was to heavy? I started with fives then dropped down to three's. My arms were still burning with the three's:confused: Amazing how quickly the body tires with those combination moves! I don't like push-ups either...i had to modify those. Enjoy your workout today!

My workout is done...burned 620cals:D:eek: gotta love Cathe;) Man I love this workout BUT i don't like that one-legged pulse part:confused: it hurts:eek:

Amelia-most of the time I do 5's but today I only did 3s just couldn't do anymore. I admire you for doing 1,2 and part of 3 I just haven't tried to move up yet. I am doing 10 days of each level then I will move up.
 
Hey there girls! Finally here, need to post to calm down so I don't kill the kids. I will be SOOOOO glad when Science Fair is done.

Amelia, I like Wii Fit, but it isn't really very challenging in general for us Cathe-ites (if you're doing Cathe regularly, that is). It sure is fun, though! The aerobics leaves a lot to be desired IMO, although I like the hula hoop exercise, it's just plain fun and I do get a good sweat (& sore muscles) out of it. The balance games are a blast and I think they've helped me with the Core stuff I hate so much. Yoga is OK if you do the poses many times each - what I do like with that is that it offers guidance for breathing and also monitors what your balance looks like during a pose. Helps to get proper weight distribution, etc. The strength exercises are pretty basic but very effective. Planks, lunges, pushups, etc. They use the balance board to push to you where you SHOULD be.

For a WO today, I went outside :eek: and had a nice 45 min brisk walk. My legs were sure feeling it by the end. It was so great to get outside! Tomorrow will be some sort of Cathe cardio. LIC sounds promising (I should do the circuit instead of the cardio premix like I usually do) or maybe LIS (a good Monday WO IMO). Wii Fit on Tuesday (balance/strength), Cathe step (LowMax?) on Wednesday, Wii Fit Thursday morning (maybe), kickbox Thursday night, CoreMax Friday. I think that's what I want to do, anyway. It's always open to change depending on my mood. Guess I'd better scoot. There must be some cooking or housework waiting for me :confused:

Hello all!

Quick check in as I am defrosting. I spent 2 hours outside shovelling the driveway. Today was supposed to be my rest day, but I can guarantee I will have DOMS tomorrow! Oh well, at least I burned off the popcorn I had at the movies this afternoon. A friend and I went to see Marley and Me. I cried, cried, cried. :( Good movie, though.
