Hi ladies.

How great it is that we all seem to be making the "EFFORT" to check in and get the workout in too! I say we all need a great big group hug and pat on the backs. Well done!

Today I did Jari, Ripped 1000 and I upped my weights and used 2 risers on the step. Am I totally NUTS???!:confused: Theres not a huge amount of cardio in this dvd but putting the step up made a HUGE difference. Then by going heavier in the weights. My GOODNESS!! (how polite and lady like is that my goodness. ha ha) My heart rate ws up for nearly the entire workout, I was puffing! Loved it!!:) I can't wait to try the Ripped to the Core which is coming (hopefully) next week.

Elaine - Good on you for persisting with the Fitness Pal. i got bored entering everything I ate, because I live here, the names of the brands are all different so I needed to add every item. Soon got sick of THAT!:p

Roxie - You would NOT be chubby! 123lbs!! 123lbs she says and then says she's "chubby". You are too cute!! I am like Andrea a bit taller 5'3 - nearly 5'4 and I WISH I was somewhere near 123lb. I should leave this thread now, muttering to myself 123lbs ha! chubby ! ha! but i've still got to say hi to Jean and Amelia, so I will save the muttering for later.

Jean - i am sooooo happy that you stayed with us and have been checking in! I don't know whats come over me today, i'm all "warm and fuzzy" Anyway maybe I am just feeling happy!

Amelia - I am dying to know how the weigh in went. So?

O.k i have a little one sitting next to me giving me hugs and kisses, I think she wants my attention. Have a great day today. Well,my WI today was a bit of a disappointment..up 1.3lbs! I figured it would happen after an almost 4lb lost last week! Oh well...i willl give it a go next week,maybe I will lose another three lbs;)

Elaine-Im so glad you like fitnesspal,and like this site im obssesed with it,LOL. The forumns are fun too,have you had a chance to check them out yet?

Im not really sure what todays workout will be? Im home with the kids today and DH has to work so i can put a movie on for them(lol) while I do any workout I want:D...one thing is for sure,no outside walks...its 88degree's here with a 60% humidity:confused:

I went to the liabrary yesterday and rented a workout called...Crunch Burning Dance party....may try that one?

Good Morning,

Today is Imax 2 intervals 1-5 and basic step abs. Rained all day yesterday and I believe i is suppose to rain all day today. Also on the agenda is cleanmax, laundrymax and wal-martmax.

Andrea-My DH also believes that I am overweight so now you know why I am so critical of my wt. I think I would be happy at 120lbs as long as I was fit. I'm glad I could make you laugh today, give your little one a kiss for me. DH is going to load a pictue of me later this weekend.

Amelia-yes I got all of my workouts in I like BM2 and with cross train upperbody there is no warmup and no stretch same with legs an glutes floor work, so I am alittle stiff today.

Dear Roxie, I hope that you know I'm not laughing at you. Until I see a photo, I stand by my comments. I bet you are just fine.;) However, its about how WE feel. And if YOU feel unhappy or uncomfortable (I know thats how I feel) then its very hard to accept other opinions. Especially hard if the male in your life tells you to. Mine will say to me, you know for a woman who has had two kids and is your age, you've got a great body from here up. He points to my stomach and points up. I say, "Gee thanks Mr . Olympia":mad::D
 
Hi everyone. No formal WO today - too much stuff going on to fit it in easily. DS and I did get a short walk in while DD was @ gymnastics, though. I'm planning to get in a run tomorrow - maybe a bike ride instead if I can get DS to go w/ me (he's a little tubby, could use the exercise).

My legs are OK today, though a little sore. Tomorrow could be a different story, but I'm gonna try to do something anyway.

Roxie, my DH wouldn't DARE tell me I'm overweight (since he's an easy 20# overweight himself). Especially since I'm tyring to work on it and he isn't. Andrea's right, though. It's all about how you feel about yourself. I was nearly 190 @ one point, so my current 160 actually feels pretty darn good some days :D

Well, the laundry pile is calling me, so I guess I'd better go deal with it. I lost a bet to DS a couple weeks ago and my penalty is to fold his laundry. I wish I'd won, he'd be sweeping and vacuuming under the table after dinner every night (kiddos are messy :)). Even though I lost, I still think I got the better deal ;).

Andrea, I’m glad I’ve been able to keep checking in. I love the warm fuzzies I feel here. I just have to watch my computer time. I can get carried away and before I know it I’ve been on for way to long and have let other things slide. It takes me forever to post. Too cute about your DD giving you kisses. BTW I’m 5’3” also.

Amelia, sorry about the WI. Your body is probably adjusting to the change and next week will be another loss.

Roxie I understand how you feel about your weight. To someone on the outside you probably look great, but you know what you have weighed and looked like before and so you work at improving it for you.

Andrea, hope you get your run or bike ride in tomorrow.

Hi to Elaine. Hope your weekend is going well.

Today I did Cardio Coach on the TM. Then we went to visit DH’s niece who had a baby in July. She lives near Houston, and had to evacuate due to the hurricane. She was staying with other relatives about an hour and 1/2 from us so since the storms didn’t make it up our way as bad as they thought they would we drove down to meet the new baby and visit. Hopefully when they return home they will find little damage to their house. Just glad they were safe and sound away from the storm.

Hi girls,

My Hubby bought home a new pony for my daughter today. He is hopeless!! Spoils those children rotten . Very cute pony though and the good thing is it hasn't cost us anyhting (yet) Its on loan as the lady who owns it son has lost interest and the pony is going to watse.

Workout wise, I completed Cathes Bootcamp. I completed a lot of it twice through. I think, I am getting stronger now and feeling heaps and heaps healthier.

Amelia - Don't fret about the scales. Something we are not taking into consideration is the fact that we are working out and muscle will weigh more than fat.

Jean - I was wondering if any of guys were caught up in the hurricanes or had family effected by them. I didn't ask because I didn't want to cause anyone stress. Roxie used to post about the tornedos and she sounded soooo relaxed about it all. Glad to hear everyone is safe.

Andrea - How about we kick some serious butt this week! Lets challenge everyone to try to lose either weight or achieve loser clothes. How do you feel about that? Take it weekly? Or even just to workout

Elaine - is probably really busy and may not get here to check in, however, Lets all make a HUGE HUGE effort. If we don't succeed no biggy, we do it again the following week and the week after that, until we ALL get a result and start to feel better about ourselves.

Hey girls....How is everybody today?

I went way over on my calories yesterday so today is back on track day....i think I deserved a little cheat after being on my diet really good for two whole weeks!

Today was suppose to be a rest day but i will do a powerwalk on the TM sometime today....

Roxie-ugh...I don't like walmart max;)the most disliked maxes out there in my book! Your workouts have been amazing lately...you go girl! Awesome job!

Andrea(Idream) you too...great workout today! I would love to see some pics of your horses and the new pony! How exciting for your daughter...has she named the pony yet?

Jean-I pray that your DH'es Niece has little damage when she gets home! And tell her that one of your cyber freinds wishes her the best with her new baby!

Andrea-lol,I think you got the better deal to...i hate sweeping and vacuming! Then agian...i hate doing any house chores,LOL!

Good Morning,

Well DH posted pictures of me last nite for anyone interested. I to am up a lb but yesterday was a horrible eat and alcohol day and I didn't drink much water more pop, so today I need to crank out more water and watch the calorie intake. Today is a rest an stretch day for me.

Andrea-I used to have horse in high school but we didn't get along very well I was a city kid trying to go country, I hope your daughter has fun with it. Great job on the workouts this week, I still want to know how you use the Jari love tapes do you follow a rotation?

Amelia-you are probably just retaining fluid I know I am my fingers are swollen. I stood in the checkout lane at wal-mart for 15min my food was starting to thaw hate that place. Have fun with your walk today and remember today is a new day.

Jean and Andrea thank you for your understanding and kind words you all are an inspiration to me and very good friends. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.
 
Hi everyone. I finally got to go to spin class this morning. I went to early church service and went straight to the gym afterwards. Did the spin class and then used the pull up assist machine. I'm going to take the dogs for a quick walk and then I have to work the rest of the day. I may be able to check in later. Enjoy the rest of of your day/night.

Roxie...my body image is slowly getting better...it takes time! I was a chubby bunnie in school and took alot of crap off of other kids...I bet i could kick there butt now:cool::D(just kidding of course:cool:)

Ok,done with my workout...after standing infront of my i just said the hell with it and did the powerwalk i should of done to begin with! Did a 50min PW at 3.5 on the Treadmill while watching Mona Lisa Smile im glad im done...

Hey to everybody have a great day...im gonna go do some cleaning and then take the kids outside so they can play while I sit with my crystal lite and read my book! Its the little things in life.....:D
 
Hi everyone. Roxie, I put up a pic yesterday too. It's my FIL, my kids & me. I don't think I have one of just me LOL.

I got my bike ride in today - rode 2.5mi w/ DS - he still struggles a lot on the uphill parts and it was WINDY (against us of course) today. It was kind of slow for me, so I tacked on another 5mi riding hard after I dropped him back @ the house. My legs were whining a little when we went out, but are nicely loosened up & happy now.:D All ready for LowMax tomorrow morning!

Andrea, glad you're feeling stronger w/ the WO. I am too, and that's what it's all about. I'm still struggling a bit w/ the food (although it is a LOT cleaner) but am MUCH better w/ the exercise right now. We'll see what the week brings. I have to WI on Thursday this week since I'm going out of town next weekend.

Jean, I'm glad you didn't get much from the storm. My brother used to live in Houston - they had bad flooding in his neighborhood once during the time he lived there (and I'm sure this time too). TG he's in Denver now!

Amelia, I'm w/ you on a cheat day. I really think you need to do that every now and then. Otherwise you'll tend more toward bingeing (IMO).
