Good morning ladies! Everyone sleep well last nite?

Im at work just getting us started off for the day.

I had to pick up my dad from the airport at 1040pm (way past my bed time). His flight got delayed and he didnt land until 1250am!! I fell asleep around 12am but kept the phone on high and right near my head. Apparently he called me at 1am to say he arrived and then again at 130. I heard the second call (thank goodness) and he asked if i was going to pick him up or what :( Poor dad! He was stuck on the runway 2 hours, then waited for me for an HOUR at the airport. good thing i only live 10 minutes away. I felt so bad tho. So..I didnt get to bed until 2am and had to get up at 545am...I think this is going to be a looooooong day..

Morning all.
Goodness Jenm-you are going to be dragging today. did he get stuck in all of the flight delays due to the down traffic controller software? i 'm glad he got there safe and sound.
better get to work, will check in later. Happy to report no leg cramps last night!!!Yeah Me!

Jen, Sorry for the lack of sleep! Try to get to bed early tonight.

Mikkia, Glad you didn't have leg cramps! They hurt so bad!

-------
Another uneventful day here. And I am def. taking a rest day. My body is feeling pooped.:( I'll get a lot of chores done though so that cal. burn should count for something.

Lisa, How are things????

Oh Jen that sounds miserable. Glad your dad arrive safely though. Maybe you can sneak a nap today?

Kate~a rest day sounds great!

Mikkia~glad you didn't have any leg cramps.

Just making DH breakfast then will be heading out for our walk beforfe it's 100 today. It's almost 80 already at 7:30am. blah.

Trish, Glad to have DH around???? I bet everybody's excited!

Getting TONS of organizing done - feels so good!

Hi ladies!
Jen--That's terrible about your dad, but I completely understand the exhaustion! Hope you get to rest when you get home from work!

Mikkia--Glad that you didn't have leg cramps last night!

Trish--A walk sounds nice. Hope you have a good day!

Kate--Glad to hear you're taking a rest day, but I'm sure you'll channel all of that energy into organizingmax!! :)

Hi to everyone else!!
-----------
Well, I am pooped! I don't know if I'm starting to catch Henry and DH's cold, or if I'm just tired from staying up late watching the convention coverage. I'm a politics junkie and live for this stuff (well the Dem. side of it). First the olympics and now this. I've become a television junkie --- HELP!! :p Next week, I'll be back to normal, I hope. The baby feels like he is WAY down in my pelvis. I actually felt him turning his head last night. Freaky. Hoping I don't deliver soon because Oliver has fall festival at school at the end of September, and both boys have dentist appointments the end of September. Well, I'm going to put on another load of laundry. New goal: Do a load a day to keep the laundry piles away. Then I'm going to just snuggle and play with my sniffly Henry. Though I think he feels much, much better. Hope everyone is having a good day!!! :)

Stephanie~I try to do 1 load a day here too. I sometimes have 2 loads a day, but if I throw it in first thing in the AM it tends to get done and if I wait then it never gets done. LOL I am starting to follow policitcs a bit more than I used to. I still just feel that they all have issues and will somehow lie to us. I did see Michelle speaking Monday and I loved seeing their children and him interact. Shows a normal side of him. Then that night McCain was on Jay Leno and he actually is really funny. Making jokes about his own age and stuff. I like seeing a more normal side of the candidates sometimes and not just what the media wants us to see. Anyway, sorry you aren't sleeping because of it all!

Kate~yay for organizing. Is this a bit of nesting?? : )

I managed 4.5 miles and now I am getting a shower. Even this early it's muggy so I sweat tons more than I ever did in VA. I also find I am eating fruit like I can't get enough (maybe for the extra water) and drinking more water, crystal light, and sweet tea. I hope to hit the gym this evening and get a few miles on the elliptical. I love that it works my arms and legs and is about zero impact.

Stephanie aka TV junkie :) - I hope everyone gets/stays healthy at yourplace. So far Isabel is the only one to NOT get the sore throat -hope it stays away from her. None of us are "down & out" but I HATE this feeling. Good plan on the laundry - for some odd reason that's the one chore that isn't a struggle for me. Our w&d is in our bedroom closet so it's very handy to keep things rolling.

Trish - oooh! I want an elliptical. No extra $$$$ rightnow though. I am def. feeling the nesting urge. :D I want the house "perfect" SOON!!! Yeah, right!

OK, so I totally flaked out on the laundry and decided to go shopping with Henry and my mom instead. He was feeling better, and I needed a loungy suit for the hospital. Also went to Michael's and got stuff for the boys' "big brother" bags that they'll get on the baby's "birth"day and Halloween treat bags for the boys and my nieces (just because all of the Halloween stuff was out and I LOVE the fall/halloween/thanksgiving/etc.)

Hope everyone is having a goo day!!!

Think I'll set up my birth announcement template now on the computer. Later taters! :)

Stephanie-i am so laughing! i banned my dh from any and convention coverage from either republicans or democrats. We way watched too much Olympics and are still paying for that lack of sleep. Besides, dh just gets all upset about politics and right now i could absolutely care less, unless someone is running on the platform "all pregnant women should be given the medal of honor"or "pregnancy from hensforth will be carried by men only". Until someone says that, I am done with politics.
Trish-are you all getting ready for a hurricane or are you more inland? sorry it is so hot! I ate my weight in watermelon this summer.
kate-organizational days are the best!!!
I have to go to Walmart. I would rather do anything but this task. If you never hear from me again, its because I finally lost my mind at Walmart:confused:

Mikkia~we are a good ways inland, but we could get heavy rain from it.. probably not so much wind, but I think they are saying if it comes this way it'll be Monday-Tuesday or so. It's supposed to be nasty hot/humid and no rain for the next few days.

I like your politics idea. LOL

Hi ladies,
Kinda quiet here tonite isnt it?
Ugh..politics. NOT a big fan. I was apolice officer in DC and I was surrounded by those people. I agree with whoever said they all tell lies and are full of it. Thats not a nice way to put it, but i think you know what i mean :) I dont know how people fall for it (no offense to anyone who loves politics! LOL. Its just not my thing. My DH had the convention on tonite and it was silly to me. We changed the channel and watched Everybody Loves Raymond instead. LOVE that show :)

I dont mean to hijack the check in, and i posted this in open forum. Dont worry its not pg related but maybe this has happened to one of you before? I copied and pasted, so here goes:

hope someone can help me out here . On saturday I did Cathe's PUB. I did not feel i lifted too heavy and was comfortable with the workout.

On saturday evening, my husband lifted my left arm to put around him and i felt pain, like something pulled. I said ow right away. Ever since then it hasnt felt right. I havent lifted since, so i've been resting it.

I felt the pain under my armpit (wow we have muscles there!) and it was uncomfortable but didnt bother my arm. The past couple days im having a harder time. When i raise my hand, like you would in school, i can only get half way up before the pain comes. I've tried some gentle stretching, but no luck. I also put my arm down and when i raised it (like a bicep curl) the pain was there again. I also noticed a bruise on my inner arm. The pain is now further down my inner arm and on the under side of my bicep.

Is this a pulled muscle? Ive never had anything like this or something last THIS long. It feels tight and painful. I'm not sure how to describe it. And its not going away. The bruise is ust weird. I dont remember hitting my arm or anything like that. In addition to the small circular bruise i am noticing a faint bruise line from my inner bicep going toward my elbow.

I assume its from the weightlifting but i felt fine at the time. Its either than or from my english bulldog yanking my arm off when i first let him out the door on a leash..

can anyone help diagnose me?? Sorry for the long post! Thanks in advance.
You'd think i have enough pangs being pregnant, now this on top of it

I don't know about a pulled muscle, but I was thinking a blood clot.. of course I am no medical expert, but w/ the bruise and you said a line going from your bicep toward your elbow?? Is it warm to the touch? Not sure though. Sounds painful and I'd call your OB just to ask a nurse maybe they'd want to see you just to check it out.
