Hi Girls,
I have been struck with insomnia a few nights/mornings each week recently, and this is one of them. I wake up around 4a.m. to pee, then I can't get back to sleep (the baby kicks, my hips hurt from laying on my side and then my mind starts to wander...). I usually get online for a while, get a little snack then go back to sleep for a while. I took a walk yesterday with DH and DS. DS runs, then walks like a turtle, so I just walked ahead. Ever since the fall I had a few weeks back, I feel safer taking someone with me on walks just in case. I found it very uncomfortable to walk, though. Baby was pushing on the lower part of my uterus, and that becomes painful. Today will be another Hershey Parkmax, but I need to get some light weights in. DS pooped in pants again today...I know it's just a minor roadblock. At least he's not holding it for days like my friend's daughter does.

Kate-Yes, I have had pain in my uterus area too. I attribute it to the baby kicking. One spot would get so sore from him kicking repeatedly in that area. It hasn't happened in a while, though. I am also getting braxton-hicks as well. I spent about an hour in the baby's room lastnight just sorting stuff, putting clothes away, etc. Wow, am I nesting! Now I know what birds feel like when they are getting their nests ready. My mouth is watering for those peanut butter balls. I am going to the store this morning, and I plan to get the ingredients for them (I am def. doing the chocolate, though)!

Stephanie-Excellent on the weight gain. Can I trade places with you? My c-section will be the week of 10/6, so we are very close. At the advisement of my DH (bless his heart), I wouldn't be doing any exercise. I don't listen, of course, but I do not lift any heavier than 10 pounds right now. What store did you find your Jari Love DVDs in? I couldn't remember if it was Marshall's or Ross. I didn't see them in Marshall's, but maybe I was looking in the wrong place (by the exercise equipment). My DS fights with himself contantly, so I can pretty much sympathize with you. Sometimes I feel like the mommy from hell too-it comes with the territory (lack of sleep, raging hormones-all that fun stuff).

Susan-Yeah for you for lifting some weight. You will work your way to heavier weight eventually. At least you are doing it safely. Have fun babymaking!!!

Jen #2-I can't wait to hear about your RT. I didn't know that RTs have been happening monthly. Philly is a wild place-kind of like NYC. I hope you make out well-I am sure you will.

Kristan-I don't blame you for staying indoors. That heat sounds terrible!!! I have a ? for your DH since he's a gaming man...my DH and I are trying to sell our XBOX 360 Arcade version (hardly used) along with the complete RockBand set (game, instruments) for $300. We posted it for 2 days on Craig's List with no interest. I know that the memory is only 256mb as compared to the other XBOX 360 that has the 20GB memory. Can you ask him his opinion of a fair asking price for the game system and the Rock Band set combined? Maybe we are listing it too high? We really want a Wii (well, I wanted that to begin with), but we won't get one until this one sells. Thanks!
I hope you get a break from the heat today.

Maggie-Thanks for the kind words about the poop. I still can't figure out how to put those smileys in my message, or I would have a ton in this one. I would also like to post a picture of me/my belly, so maybe we'll take some today and I will get them up.

Hello to everyone else. I am off to get a little snack then back to bed!

-Jen

Hi Jen! Sorry about the insomnia and the poop mishaps :) Hang in there, i'm sure he will get the hang of it eventually. I've never had to potty train anyone (yet) - just my dogs- but i'm sure it will come with time.

The roadtrip is held twice this year - once in july and once in august. I believe this is the first year there has been more than 1. It will be my first time so i'm nervous and exciting. Hmm..two people have said philly is awful so now im getting concerned lol. I'll let you know how i do (i'll be offline after Thursday nite) when i get back. Hopefully there wont be any embarassing pics of me all over the web!

kate, sorry about the pains you are feeling, i hope you feel better.

good morning to everyone, hope you are all feeling ok and have a great day !

Morning!
Jenn-sorry you can't sleep! Hopefully you can get a nap in today.

JenM-are you all packed and ready?? Im excited for you!

Kate-wake up!

I spotted this morning. I do this occacsionally between periods. Im not sure if its ovulation or what. Today is day 15 of my cycle if that matters. I am not near scientific as most ttc'ers are.

Today is the dreaded gyno visit..YUCK. I swear I always feel like Im gonna poop on the table when he puts that contraption in. eww..never have..YET.

Not sure what today's workout will be.

goodmorning! I haven't read yesterday's posts yet, I will go back here in a minute.
Jen-you are almost there. I always quit sleeping around the 8month mark too. I used to ask dh for a good wack in the head to knock me out for more than 2 hours at a time;). As far as poop training, it took my ds months to get it right. I think herseymax sounds like fun. Have a good day!
Jenm-I am so excited for you going on the RT! I wish I was going. how are feeling? any nausea?
kate-are you having braxton hicks?
Yesterday I did LIC, worked, got a haircut, and cooked a big pot of soup, then went to 3 hour soccer camp. I am not getting to bed until late and getting up too early. I am so very tired this am, so the workout will have to wait. I need to remember I am still pregnant! I think with the nausea gone i have gone over the edge trying to get stuff done.
hi to everyone that follows.

No, i am not packed for the road trip yet!! I should start tonite tho, and definately do it by thursday night. my flight leaves so very early! 640am!! I have my workout gear in a pile, but i dont know what im wearing for the non-exercise events. I think i read casual is fine. I just dont have a lot of clothes to choose from and i spent more than i wanted to on workout clothes.

I was feeling naseous two days ago, was better yesterday (ate lots), and i'm so so today. Im at work and have traffic court this afternoon, which i never look forward to.

I am going to workout tonite too becuase my husband is leaving for his shift when i get in.
I dont know which one to do tho. I did all the 4ds series on sunday (except for the two cardio step portions) and that was the last time i worked out. I wanted to workout tomorrow nite too before the RT but my dad is spending the ntie since he is bringing me to the airport early friday and he usually shows up right when i get home since he doesnt work too far from me. I'll see what happens.

Any workout suggests for tonite? I own everything cathe, amy, tracey , kelly..haha you name it. i'll have to think about it. Right now i'm too tired to feel like doing anything but just sit here and daydream of sleeping.

Good luck at your doctors appointment, i am sure it will go well!

Yea kate, wake up! Its late lol

Hi ladies,
Jen1--I'm sorry about the insomnia. I hope you get some rest! You don't want to trade places with me on the weight gain!! I already have gained almost 40 pounds. Just the past month has been a low gainer for me. I've been really trying to watch what I eat. And I worked out a lot more last week. I am going to lay off the workouts a bit. I'm still freaked out about what she said about the uterine incision, but when I do workout, I'll do 10 or 16 lb max (2/fives or 2/eights). I bought my Jari Love DVDs at Ross. I wish I had gotten Get Ripped 1000. I've heard good things about it. It's apparently a circuit workout. Oh well, maybe next time. They are only $5 there.

Jen2--I know you're getting excited about the RT!! Send us pictures!!

Susan--Sorry for the spotting. I hope the gyn appt goes well today.... Well, as well as it can go.

Mikkia--Your day sounds like it was fun yesterday! I agree that sometimes when you're feeling well it's hard to take it easy and remember that our bodies need to rest more now. Hopefully you'll have a more restful day today.

Kate--Where are you? Hope you're tummy feels better today!

Maggie--How are you?

Melanie--Still thinking about you.

Hi to Candra, Lisa, Kristan, Trish, Anne, and anyone else I missed!
-----
Last night was stressful. Our printer broke again, which doesn't bode well for me, who uses it for my church newsletter. Ugh. And we have some other bigger stresses on us right now, which I'll not bore you with. Just seems that when it rains it pours sometimes. Anyway, today I plan on not worrying so much. DH filled up the kiddie pool this morning, so the boys and I will enjoy a nice sunny day today. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain here, but Friday I hope to go to shopping for some retail therapy. Hope you all have a great day!! :)

Stephanie, enjoy your pool time - hope you get to have some retail therapy :)
Sorry for the woes - you are right, when it rains it pours. But it always works itself out one way or another and it will get better. Hang in there!

Im sure there will be tons of pics on the forums from our weekend. i'll have to remember my camera. I just hope there arent any embarassing/bad ones for the world to see :D

I belong to the insomniac's club too, I guess. I woke up in the night all panicked about weird and random stuff.

Today we cannot find 2 of the 4 netflix dvd's we have checked out. So, I am having the kids clean until we find them. They really should be more careful with putting them away. I am highly annoyed. I think some of it is hormonal. I scolded, but didn't lose my temper, which I felt like doing.

During the summer, our bible study leaders feed everyone dinner before bible study, so I don't have to cook today. Hurray:D.

+++++
Jen--sorry you can't sleep, but I can sympathize. It's hurting me to walk at times, in my cervical area--like she's pushing on something--it's very twingy and intense. I also have a spot on my uterus that feels sort of burny and bruisy--that's the best way I can explain it. I've given up on working out. :(

Jenm--good luck on the packing! I hope you feel better soon--the 2nd trimester has to be just around the corner for you.

Susan--I hope your gyno visit goes quickly. Those things are just not fun.

Mikki--your yesterday was packed! I hope you get some down time today or soon.

Stephanie--I so rely on my copier/printer. It would be very traumatic for me if it broke. I use it so much and money is tight right now. I hope you find a reasonably-priced, reliable replacement soon.
++++++

I'm feeling very unmotivated to do anything right now.

Hi everyone else!

Maggie:)
38 weeks, 2 days

I'm lazy today. I'm just testing my signature.

ETA--what good little children--they found all three missing dvd's and their envelopes.

Maggie:)

Hello!
Well, Im counting down time to leave for the dr. I get diarreah(sp) everytime.
I got 45 min on the treadmill done.
Pretty boring today. I will run errands after my appt. I feel like Im going on a date. I have pianted my toenails and made sure everything looks OK..haha.
Kate- are you at the vet with Susie??

Hey Preggies/TTcers/new moms: I'll be back for personals in a bit. Just wanted to chime in and say all is well. CRAZY BUSY GOOD DAY!

I had hoped to WO today but it doesn’t look like its gonna happen. Does WeedMax count as a LB WO? I cleaned out 2 huge beds in the back. We have a kitten now too. She showed up while we were out Monday night and now we’re feeding her. She is so cute and Dds love her. Her name is Susie, named by Isabel. Under NO circumstances is she coming in the house though! NO CATS!!! I love em but I don’t want it peeing in here and I have no desire to train it. Better go…lots to do.

bbs..........

JenP - Have fun at Hershey today. Sorrry for the insomnia. And I can’t WAIT for our room to get painted so I can nest her rooom! Making progress on the house though…

JenM - Can’t wait to see your RT pics! And NotHING is formal there either. Everything was very laid back.

Susan, Maybe it was implantation spotting?!?! One of my biggest fears in labor was pooping during labor. Well, it happened. No biggie I guess. Apparently they see it all the time! Hope the visit is uneventful/
DH wants me to take Susie to the vet but I do NOT want to spend $ on an animal that will likely die in a month anyway. Her little face has a gash and she limps. I’d come out of there $500 in the hole…at least! But she breaks my heart!! we’ll see…….

Mikkia, Big day y’day for you! I go to bed late/wake up early too. thank goodness I'm a SAHM mom - I can nap!

Stephanie, You shopping solo? Enjoy having the boys busyin the pool today. Dds have been in the sprinkler a lot today. I detest dragging the pool out. DH fills it with warm water from one of our spigots in the garage. Being the kids of a plbg. contractor has its benefits! Sorry about the printer - yuck!

Maggie, I’m glad you get a break on making dinner tonight. You deserve it! Glad the DVD thing ended well too. And you got a cleaner house too!! Sorry for all your pg woes. It will be over soon!!

Okay, I think I’m mostly caught up with today’s posts.
Wonder how Trish is doing……….

HEy!
Ok I made it! When we moved here I decided to try a female dr. Well over the past month or so I realized I prefer a male dr. so today I went to a new dr highly recommened. I LOVE HIM! We talked a good 15min (long time for a dr) before my exam and I told him all my past history with preg/mc and I feel great about it. And he doesnt do rectal exams til 50(yayy) when it is recommended by gastroenerologists. Anyway, the day I test postive I am to call and get an rx for progesterone suppositories to be on the safe side. Oh and he said he thinks I am "about to ovulate". Wonder how he could tell that? Oh well, hope he is right!! And, no worries about the mammogram nuking my egg..he assured me of that. So all is good as of now.

Hey Kate-I think you would get of the vet for under 100...if you just get shots etc. If you keep her you want to make sure shes not sickly or anything. Thanks Isabel for naming Susie after me..that is what my family calls me:) Oh, I pooped during labor too!!!

Susan, I'm so happy you liked your doc. That means so much. Now.........go jump your DH when he comes home! Wrap yourself in saran wrap and beat him to the front door!!

Hey guys,
Kate--Yard work definitely counts as a workout! I did it the other night in my back yard. I agree about the cat. I love them too, but I'm not a fan of indoor cats. As for shopping, I'll be taking the boys with me. My mom may meet us at the mall. I "need" to get some handsoap at Bath & Body Works. They are having a 5 for $15 deal, and I love their handsoap. I'll be washing my hands like mad when the baby gets here (I'm a germphobe), so might as well use their antibacterial soap with lotion in it. And I promised Oliver a trip to the Disney Store "just to look" (yeah, right). I thought I"d get them lunch out too. It will be our last "date" before school starts.

Susan--Glad the doctor's visit went well! No more dread factor until you are 50! I hope he's right about the ovulating!! Now go have sex! ;)

Maggie--Sorry you are feeling tired. It's tough being pregnant in this heat! The last two times I was pregnant, I had December babies. Glad your little ones found the missing movies. Now you can sit back and relax and enjoy your afternoon. (Yeah, right, I know :))
-------
Well, Henry loved the pool, but Oliver just moped and didn't play much. We stayed out for only an hour before they were ready to come back in. If it's not raining when DH gets home, I'll take them back out for a little while (when it's a little cooler). Hope everyone has a good evening (especially Susan)!

Susan - so glad you loved the new doctor! That makes such a difference. I've had doctors that whisk out of the room before they even see if you have questions. So frustrating. Good luck with everything.

Kate - that poor little kitty ! i always hate to see animals suffer. they depend on us for so much. Its a shame the vets are so expensive but they have to stay in business.

Oh, kate in reference to the road trip is $50 cash enough for the Rapid Rover? i had more but spent some today on DH's bday gift :( Just making sure that will cover me or if i need to make yet another stop at the bank..thanks!

Okay, I am back before the 3 hour torture feist otherwise known as soccer camp. At least the instructors are all Brits or Scots and their accents crack me up, as well as their sayings. DS has been saying "no worries" for the last 3 days.
I fell asleep at my computer today at work. I was just working and the next thing you know 12 min had passed. I wonder how many people noticed?
Kate-I agree about cats too. We have quite a few wild cats around our house that our neighbor has been trapping, taking to the aspca to get fixed and then re releasing. The kids have been helping him, but at least they quit asking for one. I hope little Susie is okay. How are you feeling today?
Susan-I am so laughing about the Dr. Isn't it funny that the little things like no rectal exams can make your whole day? I am glad you found a dr that seems to be proactive about the whole early pregnancy thing. I always hated the 'wait and see if nature takes its course" approach to early pregnancy. Of course I am a little type A... How is the neck? I heard alot of sex is really good for it;)
Stephanie- congrats on the 3 lb weight gain. Thats really good! Sorry about the printer. That really does blow.
JenM-when do you leave?
Maggie-could you send your kids over? We are missing Enchanted from Netflix for 2 weeks now, and it seems to have vanished! How are you feeling, any BH?
Jen-How did Hersey go?
I made chicken soup for dinner tonight, because it can cook while we are at soccer, and I made swedish meatballs in the slow cooker for all of those non carb eaters lurking around the house (ie inlaws).:(
