Hi Girls,
I have been struck with insomnia a few nights/mornings each week recently, and this is one of them. I wake up around 4a.m. to pee, then I can't get back to sleep (the baby kicks, my hips hurt from laying on my side and then my mind starts to wander...). I usually get online for a while, get a little snack then go back to sleep for a while. I took a walk yesterday with DH and DS. DS runs, then walks like a turtle, so I just walked ahead. Ever since the fall I had a few weeks back, I feel safer taking someone with me on walks just in case. I found it very uncomfortable to walk, though. Baby was pushing on the lower part of my uterus, and that becomes painful. Today will be another Hershey Parkmax, but I need to get some light weights in. DS pooped in pants again today...I know it's just a minor roadblock. At least he's not holding it for days like my friend's daughter does.
Kate-Yes, I have had pain in my uterus area too. I attribute it to the baby kicking. One spot would get so sore from him kicking repeatedly in that area. It hasn't happened in a while, though. I am also getting braxton-hicks as well. I spent about an hour in the baby's room lastnight just sorting stuff, putting clothes away, etc. Wow, am I nesting! Now I know what birds feel like when they are getting their nests ready. My mouth is watering for those peanut butter balls. I am going to the store this morning, and I plan to get the ingredients for them (I am def. doing the chocolate, though)!
Stephanie-Excellent on the weight gain. Can I trade places with you? My c-section will be the week of 10/6, so we are very close. At the advisement of my DH (bless his heart), I wouldn't be doing any exercise. I don't listen, of course, but I do not lift any heavier than 10 pounds right now. What store did you find your Jari Love DVDs in? I couldn't remember if it was Marshall's or Ross. I didn't see them in Marshall's, but maybe I was looking in the wrong place (by the exercise equipment). My DS fights with himself contantly, so I can pretty much sympathize with you. Sometimes I feel like the mommy from hell too-it comes with the territory (lack of sleep, raging hormones-all that fun stuff).
Susan-Yeah for you for lifting some weight. You will work your way to heavier weight eventually. At least you are doing it safely. Have fun babymaking!!!
Jen #2-I can't wait to hear about your RT. I didn't know that RTs have been happening monthly. Philly is a wild place-kind of like NYC. I hope you make out well-I am sure you will.
Kristan-I don't blame you for staying indoors. That heat sounds terrible!!! I have a ? for your DH since he's a gaming man...my DH and I are trying to sell our XBOX 360 Arcade version (hardly used) along with the complete RockBand set (game, instruments) for $300. We posted it for 2 days on Craig's List with no interest. I know that the memory is only 256mb as compared to the other XBOX 360 that has the 20GB memory. Can you ask him his opinion of a fair asking price for the game system and the Rock Band set combined? Maybe we are listing it too high? We really want a Wii (well, I wanted that to begin with), but we won't get one until this one sells. Thanks!
I hope you get a break from the heat today.
Maggie-Thanks for the kind words about the poop. I still can't figure out how to put those smileys in my message, or I would have a ton in this one. I would also like to post a picture of me/my belly, so maybe we'll take some today and I will get them up.
Hello to everyone else. I am off to get a little snack then back to bed!
