Announcement: OnDemand Workout Blender Update is Scheduled for Around 10 pm (eastern) Tonight (2-14-16)

At around 10pm eastern tonight (2-14-16) we will begin a major upgrade to our OnDemand Workout Blender.

This upgrade will include the following:

1. Adding most of our DVD Premixes to the WB (Over 1000 premixes)
2. Fixed bug with Favorites not working properly
3. Ability to select favorite Premixes
4. You can now click an individual DVD cover and it will play. You no longer have to drag a video to have it play.

If things go as hoped (keeping fingers crossed) the upgrade should take less than 40 minutes. While the upgrade is going on the WB will be unavailable. Once the upgrade is complete you will need to refresh your browser and perhaps clear your Browser's Cache.

*The Workout Blender upgrade is now complete. Make sure to first clear your browser's cache before launching the new WB. The first time you load the newly upgraded WB it will take a lot longer than normal because everything has to be re-cached. If you experience unusual stalling when playing a premix you may need to clear your browser's cache (if you didn't do already) because of the upgrade. Also, it will take several days for the premix chapter video files to spread over the internet to our cached media servers. Until this happens performance may be negatively affected.

Thanks for putting the premixes in the blender!!!

Do you have any plans for putting them under "my videos"? The reason I ask is I like being able to choose a workout by duration from the videos section. In the blender you have to click on the premix to see the running time.

Thanks for your consideration :)

"My Workouts" is only for premixes you create or premixes created by other Cathletes you download - not our DVD Premixes.I also think there are just too many DVD premixes for "sort by time" to be of much value since a search with this parameter would still yield hundreds of Premixes in most cases. The best solution is to just go through the videos you're interested in and mark your favorite premixes. Then when you select the "only show favorite premixes" only the ones you have selected will show. I'm sure we will improve the search and sort over time, but our top priority now is finishing the iOS App for our OnDemand videos. This App will also allow you to search and play our DVD Premixes and this should make things easier for everyone to play and find videos/premixes.

Thanks for your reply. To clarify, I was asking for premixes to be on the on demand list that shows up when you click "my videos" at the top of the page, not in the blender. I look forward to the iOS app, perhaps it will be more user friendly than the web page interface.

Ok, I did misunderstand you, but this still can't be done either. A Premix is not a single video like you see in "My Videos" for our regular main workouts. A Premix is a coded script that tells our video player which chapter video to play and in what order. Each chapter is an individual video and there are around 10,000 of these chapter video files. "My Videos" is just a simple link to a single video file. You can't add Premixes to the "My Videos" tab as they will not work without the Workout Blender software. So it's just not something technically that would work. Also, even if this were possible you really wouldn't gain much by adding the Premixes to the "My Videos" tab. This is because the "My Videos" and the "Workout Blender" pretty much use the same search interface. So both searches are basically the same.

The way we have designed the interface for the premixes is that you can search for the main video title by series, title or workout type just like you do for the main workouts. Then you select the premix you want to do from that main video. You can quickly go through all of your most used workouts and mark the premixes you like best as favorites. Then just click on the "Only Show Favorite Premixes".

We could certainly add more sort parameters to the WB search, and perhaps in the future we will, but I'm not sure if this will really be that helpful when it comes to finding a Premix. Perhaps a simpler solution to what you suggest is for us to put the premix time at the end of each Premix title? This would make it quicker for you to see how long a Premix is.

Thanks, you always put a lot of detail into your responses, it's much appreciated :)
