Sorry about this one, but I'm at a loss and the pain is starting to really disrupt life for me here....

DH did the deed 2 nights ago, and one point during the event, he slipped out and "missed". This hurt like crazy, as he basically jabbed me in the vulva, but didn't hurt enough to stop what we were doing.

The next morning, I woke up feeling bruised. I mean, really bruised. The particular side is very painful to touch, wipe when using the bathroom....it also hurts to even walk, so I'm walking like I've just gotten off of a horse (in addition to be 38.5 weeks pregnant).

I got out the super magnifying mirror yesterday, and everything looks just fine - but it's still extremely painful. Hasn't gotten worse, but not better either.
I have to go to the doctor today (and will ask about this), but at this point they're checking me for dilation, and I'm really dreading this since I know it's going to hurt like h*ll when he does.

Has anyone dealt with this? Any suggestions on how to make things feel better? I would've thought that by today, I'd be seeing some improvement.

hi melicm - i have been thinking of yuou and wondering when you will join me on "the other side" :)

sorry about your injury. maybe try a lukewarm bath with epsom salts? i suspect you are just badly bruised. blood flow is so heightened down there, i am sure it is uncomfortable. perhaps ask your doc next time you visit?

good luck!

I am waiting so very impatiently at this point!
So far, nothing but some sporadic Braxton Hicks. HOpefully today I'll learn that I'm at least a little dilated.

But I have a feeling that they're going to have to induce me the week of the 4th (they'll let me go a week past my due date) - and that I won't be going naturally on my own. :(

In the meantime, my poor husband has no idea what to do with me and my constant misery!

Ouch. I have had this happen when not preg, but nothing that I recall causing a ton of pain. I bet it is because of the extra bloodflow. Sounds really painful.

I actually had this happen once, even got a blister. It went away on it's own within a couple of weeks. If it swells up, throbs, warm to touch, or becomes pus-filled let your dr know,...other wise I'd just keep an eye on it. We feel for you, girl!

Thanks everybody! Looks like it's hot baths with epsom salts and a whole of Tylenol until this goes away.

Needless to say, we'll have to be a lot more careful next time!!!!
