Water and TTOM

I have really changed my hydration habits and have been drinking lots of water throughout the day. I'm curious, for those of you who are religious with water consumption- whether you continue to drink the same volume of fluid in the days leading up to and during TTOM?

X,

After some recent kidney trouble, I have been required to drink water all day every day. It took a medical problem which put me in the hospital to realize the benefits of drinking water. I will be the first to tell you that tap water is not my favorite but...it is better than a trip to the doc. :)

Addressing your question, TTOM doesn't play a role in my water consumption daily one way or the other. I drink the same amount out of the hospital provided thermo-cup with the measurements down the side. I just pretend that the mean nurse is standing over me prodding me to drink to THAT mark throughout the day! Funny eh?!

Hope this helps!

I drink MORE because it helps me to not bloat so darn much... I actually start the second pms rears its ugly head and continue thru cycle day 4 with extra water...... I drink a diet soda here and there but NEVER once pms hits... I am water queen!

I'm in a similar situation as Melissa. I am prone to getting kidney stones so I am *required* to drink 100 oz. of water a day. I really, really try.:) I don't change anything leading up to TTOM but during I do often drink less. I just don't like having to run to the bathroom constantly during TTOM. I figure, a few days won't kill me.:)

One thing that really has helped me is buying enormous sports bottles for my water. For some reason, if it's in my 50oz bottle it goes quicker and I only have to refill once (if I'm good).
Question: I count my iced tea consumption as water for the day. Do you guys do that too or are you all strictly counting straight water?

Re: counting Ice Tea as water, yes-but that's about it. I don't count Crystal Light or any diet soda, they have additives.

Thanks for your feedback. Common sense would tell me to continue to hydrate but the hormones tell me "you're asking for it!". By the way, I do spend a lot of time voiding (BR), at least hourly but as much of a nuisance as it is, I consider it a good sign!

I count Crystal Light as my urologist said that it counts toward my 100 oz., which is a good thing since I would have a hard time getting there without it. I would count iced tea too, but I can't drink it because of the kidney stones:-(
