For all you horseback riders out there please be safe when riding your horse.
Horses were D.M. man's passion
He was struck, killed by car while riding 3 days after buying gelding.
This is very sad. I cried when I heard this on the news.

I don't understand why he was riding so late in the dark.
I really don't understand why people don't stop. Here in Des Moines we've had several cases in the past year or two where drivers have hit and killed pedestrians or bicyclists and they didn't stop. I don't know if the panic or what the problem is. My DH said he heard the name of the first person who hit the horse and DH said is sounded mexican so Dh wondered if he was an illegal. I haven't heard anything else.
