I know you guys don't think I made up my tale of woe about Alex, my wayward camper (and now I can say that with a grin since he's safe and sound.) But for sheer WOW factor and to leave NO doubt as to my credibility ('cause it's an incredible tale), we were pretty startled today to find out that the Linn County, Oregon Sheriff, the handsome and buff (I might add) Dave Burright, issued a news release on the day that Alex was rescued about Alex's adventure/ordeal (depending upon who's describing it -- him, adventure; me, ordeal). For those of you who want to hear it , this number is for the Sheriff's office's autiomated news release phone line, and Alex's story was the first one automaticallly played as of 10:00 p.m. today, EDT. If any other stories have been added, choose the news release for Friday, July 2.
The number (use those free LD cell phones, kids) is: 541-917-6677
Do I have a high maintenance kid, or what??
Thanks again to all of you who have written here and e-mailed and called me with your support and friendship and admiration for my son's plucky spirit -- it means the world to all of us and especially to me. Hugs to all of you!!
