Walmart Weight Set

I just ordered the 55 lb weight set from Walmart. I hope it works well with Cathe's videos and the bar isn't to long. Has anyone ordered this?

i got a set from wal-mart many moons ago. it was a 100lb set. the bar is not one you want to load more then 60-70lbs on though.i still have the bar but use it for light weights and i got a heavier bar at play it again sports for $15.

Have it & its just perfect.... I dont lift more than 50-60 on my back anyway so its great....If I want heavier for rows I use my heavy DBs

Thanks for your responses. How come you couldnt put heavier weight on it then 70 lbs? I was goin to get extra plates

I have loaded a bit more BUT I think its the bar itself that isnt designed to hold alot more.... The length (to accomodate all the plates) + The actual density (I think thats what it is) a heavier metal is used for the 100# ones... or SOMETHING like that!:7 - I'd test it BEFORE hoisting;-) Make sure the Bar is still perectly aligned & all the plates are secure

as with most standard bars to much weight could cause it to bend. this particular one i picked up from wal mart was completely solid in the middle.

60 was the most & I wasnt "sure" about the bar being totally straight;-) so I used it for my rows only.....
