I don't normally go in for nutritional supplements (just a multi-vitamin and try to eat lots of fruit and veggies). But I saw an ad for this vitaforce stuff and I'm intrigued. On the website, it claims to be a "whole super food powder that is a complete vitamin and mineral supplement". Sounds good. Has anyone tried this or something similar? If so, what do you think? Does it taste like old garbage? Thanks in advance!

I believe that whole-food based supplements are far superior to supplements (or even vitamins) made from isolated elements. Isolated vitamins (like A or beta carotene) have been shown to be a health risk in some cases, and ineffective in others.

Vitaforce (www.organichealthandbeauty.com ) looks like a good supplement, healthwise. I also like that the B12 is provided as methylcobalamin, which is superior (because more directly assimilated) to the typical cyanacobalamin.

It also looks like it would taste very "green" since spirulina and chlorella are high on the list. It takes a while to get used to this kind of taste, and it's best to start with small doses. Even then, it can be a bit hard to take. But the testimonials say it tastes good even in water, which I find hard to believe!

I might actually try this myself. I have used Vitamineral Green, but this might be even better.
