Visiting Cathe from NYC??

My husband and I are planning a trip to NYC in a month. Is it a long distance from Manhattan to Cathe's gym? We're only going to be there for three full days, but I was hoping to sneak in a trip to take a live class. I looked up the directions and it looks like it is further than I was thinking. Would it take a long time to get there and is there and easy commute I could take? Subways or something?

It's about 2 1/2-3 hours to Cathe's from NY City. No trains or public transportation that would make it any easier.
