Used a Baby for a Down Payment

I am listening to this right now on the news a couple used a baby as a down payment on a used car. Can you believe this? My goodness this world is so out of control.

They used the baby, or 'tried' to use the baby?
It's disturbing enough that the parents would do this, but that the car seller would agree? (Was he Rumpelstilskin or something?)

I swear people should have to pass a friggin' written exam AND get psychological testing done before they are allowed to have a child!!!!x(

I think that you should need a liscense to breed. When you apply you should have to have references and show how you are going to finacially support this child. They should also come and check out the living situation and you should have to go through psych counseling... I am serious!!! I think it is harder to adopt a dog than it is to get a child...which is scarey.

This is why people should be able to leave babies at hospitals/fire stations, etc (and perhaps car dealerships?????) and walk away---no questions asked. This way children can be delivered safe and sound to parents who will love them like they should be loved.
 
That is really shocking. What about the person/people that took the baby for the downpayment? Are they going to be arrested too? They should!!! Now hopefully that baby will be adopted and go to a loving family.

Most of my family lives in the city where this happened and I was born and raised there. I was watching the news yesterday when I heard about this. I figured it happened in Denver and was surprised to hear it was in Pueblo. Not that this sort of thing doesn't happen there. I grew up in that town and there are some interesting characters living there. This is the same city that in 1994 when I was working for the DA's office there was a huge drug bust and people were buying drugs with food stamps. I guess it's like most places in some respects it's a nice city, but in other cases it just makes you shake your head.
