Urban Rebounder

Just wondering if those of you out there that have one of these would buy it again if given the chance to go back? I have a regular mini trampoline from my parents (at least 25 years old) that is holding up fine (a little bit of duct tape on the one side), but I find that the mat is so hard it kinda hurts my knees to do it much. Is the UR really safe for the knees? Do you think this would be a good investment? Thanks! :)

I love mine. I actually continued doing cardio (Cathe's) on it all summer while I had a stress fracture in my foot and was fine. I now use it a few times a week to help take some of the impact out for my low back (which is problematic on me). I don't know what I'd do without it. Worth every penny.

I also like my Urban Rebounder and yes I would buy it again from HSN... even if I am not doing cardio on it, I lay it it to do my abs and some of my upper body work.

I never use mine anymore and would love to sell it, but only because I don't use it often enough. I think it is an excellent product and if I would use it enough, then yes I would buy it again. If anyone wants to buy mine, let me know. It has been used a handful of times and I have all the compilation DVDs.

I have a Needak Rebounder (which the UR is based on, and which I got from UR before they had their own model). Even though there are long stretches of time when I don't use it, I would buy it again. I like to have a variety of types of cardio, the more the better, and rebounding is good to add in with step and kickboxing.

More than specific UR workouts, I use it for modifying other workouts (Leslie Sansone, which I bought specificially for the music and beat and company, and which I modify 'up' to use on the rebounders, doing high impact moves like those in MIC or jump rope moves in other workouts). I just got it back out recently, and did a CC workout on it. I plan to do so regularly for a while.

I can't run or jog or definitely not sprint on the ground (that's how I screwed up my knee years ago), but I can do all of these on the rebounder, which makes it a good way of getting a more intense exercise without the impact).

I really like the compilation DVDs. The set comes with 20 different workouts. Most of them short, but they are fun. I haven't even opened DVD #5. I would just rather do a Cathe cardio which is why I never do these.

Some workouts are good (boxing, sports training, advanced, etc.) some are lame (yoga, latin dance, African dance--which is about 15 minutes long!). But the good ones are scattered throughout the 4 (?) compilations DVD's rather than all on one.

I remember reading just a short while ago that someone used the UR for 10 min at the end of a workout for the health benefits. Something like the lymponich something or another. I was wondering if it really works and what exactly that meant???

Jumping on a rebounder (even without the feet leaving the mat) is supposed to stimulate the lymphatic system, which is tied to our immune system (ie: lymph nodes).
