Urban Rebound videos

Can anyone tell me which Urban Rebounding workouts are the toughest? I have the intermediate which came with the rebounder. I love rebounding. But, I need a challenge. Would'nt it be great if Cathe did a rebounding video! She could really make us sweat! Maybe if we beg!

Thanks
Susan

Personally, I don't find any of the Urban Rebounding videos challenging. I find myself gravitating toward "Interval Bound" the most, as an add-on to other workouts. It's a woman instructor, and she's much better than all that "lookin' good" from JB Berns. (It works my last nerve after awhile).

I also have Champion Rebounding Super Set Workout with Jerry James. It's 40 minutes, and tougher than any of the UR workouts, IMHO. The only drawback is it's only available in VHS.

I wrote to UR and asked that they make an hour-long tough workout. They wrote back and said that they would think about it in the future, but that it takes time and money... so I don't think we'll be seeing it soon. :-(

Have you tried FitPrime's G-Force? After I did that one, I got rid of all my UR's. They just couldn't measure up on the fun factor, plus GF is a circuit workout, so you get in heavy wts. too!!!

Hopefully, FP will put out another one soon and yes, I'd LOVE it if Cathe could be talked into doing one. :D

Thanks everyone! Yes, I have G-force and love it, but I wish I had something on Cathe's level! I'll have to look into Champion Rebounding.

Thanks again,
Susan

What do you guys really think of the rebounder? Is it worth purchasing? Do you use it a lot? Is it something that can really challenge you or do you use it more on a 'tired' day or a day when you can't think of anything you really want to do?

I love the rebounder! But, the reason I have it is because I can't run and can't do impact on the floor. I do impact on the step, but can only do that about twice a week, or my back tells me it's too much. So the rebounder is great for me. I use it for Boot Camp and KPC. I have noticed it's hard to do Cathe's high/low on it, but you can make it work.

So, I guess it just depends on why you need one as to how much you use it. Truly, if I could do impact like I used to, I probably wouldn't use it very much.

Hope that helps!

Susan

Thanks Susan, I've been on the fence about one for awhile, still not sure if I'd use it enough and heaven knows I really NEED more fitness equipment..NOT! LOL

I use it a couple of times a week to tack on a cardio at the end of a weight workout. I also do Spinervals, and there one called Ride & Stride where you get off the bike and run on a treadmill. Since I can't run (bad knees) I get off the bike and jog on the rebounder. It works just fine and it breaks up the workout.

I know a lot of people just "freestyle" to their own music. I'm one of those kinds of people who needs and instructor to "tell" me what to do, so I haven't tried just putting on some good music and going to town on it, but I plan to.

As I'm getting older and I have to cut down on my step workouts due to the knees, I'm finding that I'm reaching for the rebounder more than my step. Do I get as good a workout? My heart rate gets up there and I sweat, but in my mind, nothing beats an Imax workout. Now if we can just get Cathe to make a really intense hour-long rebounder video. Sigh.
