Update on my life (not too good).......

As some of you know, this board along with others supported me when my mom passed away in Jan. of 2006. Well I just got a letter from my dad (who is remarried but that is another story), he has been given 6 months to a year to live. The letter also included all of his funeral wishes, which was something I really wasn't prepared to read about.

I mean as much turmoil my father put us through after mom's death I don't want to see him die either sooo soon.

I post mostly these days on the check in threads but I thought since some post both places that I would put this update here for all to see.

I would appreciate prayers and uplifting thoughts over the course of time that this event might take place, he did say that his doctor could be wrong and he will start prednisone (sp?) in the next few weeks to prolong his life. He has a lung disorder(restrictive lung disease called pulmonary fibrosis).

Thanks for all your support in the past, and now for the future, you gals are great.

(((Annette))) I am so sorry to hear that you are going through, yet another, family upset. Your Dad sounds like he's got a positive, hopeful attitude that the Dr.s may be wrong. I've been amazed over the years to see how prednisone can help ease such a variety of symptoms in so many different conditions. I hope that he gets much relief from the meds. Your faith is so strong (as are you) and will give you much comfort come what may. We are here for you, please keep us updated.
