Ultrasound

Hi ladies,

I had my ultrasound today and the baby is healthy and growing as it should be. And I am having another boy. We already have a name picked out and everything (Jeremy). The baby was moving around a bit during the test, so we got see it's arms, hands and legs pretty well, and we even got to see him hiccup! I am 21 weeks now, so the baby is about 1 lb. It's just amazing to me. We found out about a local place that does 4D ultrasounds, so we are looking into that as well. A friend of mine had one and she loved it. Said you could see the facial features and everything.

Anyway, I just had to share. And I have to admit to a 13 lb weight gain so far in my pregnancy. I am so bummed out about that. But I have been eating way too much, especially this past long weekend when we were away at a bed and breakfast for our 10th anniversary!

Take care everyone!

Erin

I am happy to hear all is well with you and your growing son.
It is a great time for you and your family. I too have my second
and last ultrasound today. We have chosen not to find out the gender
this time either. Personally I find nothing better than the
surprise at delivery. I have no names picked out or ones that I am
in love with yet. I am surprised you are bummed at the 13lb weight
gain. I have put a total of 12lbs. on and thought that was great.
I think 13lbs. for a little more than half way thru pregnancy is
fantastic. I would imagine many have packed on far more at this stage.

Take Care Ladies,

Thanks, Suzanne. I greatly appreciate your comments on my weight gain. I will try not to worry about it so much. :)

I hope your ultrasound went well and you are feeling great. How far along are you? Is this your first pregnancy?

Take care!

Thanks Erin for your well wishes. This is my second child due 8/10/07.
My daughter will soon be 16 months old. We are having a ball with her . Great age and just so much fun. I work full time and plan
on working up until the very end. Not looking forward to the last
trimester in the heat but will make the best of it. I was lucky
to work out until the actual day I delivered. My goal is to do the
same this time too. I take it one day at a time which is my new
motto. I tend to let myself get overwhelmed w/the laundry, cleaning,
and all the other stuff in life. My husband is wonderful but really
places demands on me that are at times unrealistic. I think sometimes
he forgets I have another baby in my belly and he reads into things
that just are not there. In all honesty I find it hard to divide my
attention between my child and hubby. I guess as parents we get
caught up with our children so much it leaves little couple time.
I guess its just a balancing act.

I hope to read your posts and all the other pregnant/non pregnant
Mom's.

Hi Suzanne,

I know what you mean about the effect of kids on marriage. We have a four year old son and our life has been so hectic since he was born. We went away recently for our 10th anniversary, and that was the first time we had been away together for more than 1 or 2 nights. Luckily, I don't have to work full time, but it still is stressful keeping track of two part time jobs and taking care of the house and my son. I totally sympathize with you. Please take care of yourself. I wish your hubby would be less unrealistic. Tell him I said to get his act together! ;)

Congratulations again on your pregnancy, and best wishes.
