UK based Cathe fans?

RE: No!!!

I think we may have "spoken" before, if you're the lady who studied in my home town Newcastle?
I have been a Cathe fan for a couple of years since finding this site when begining to exercise at home. But i have only been using her tapes since the begining of this year when I felt advanced enough to try them. I have not worked out in the past six weeks while my children have been on their summer break (except for all the running round parks, along beaches and all the other child-centred activities!). They start back tomorrow, so even though I will miss them I am really looking forward to my 'formal' w/o and can't decide which tape to do!

I'm not in the U.K. YET - but my husband (English) and I are going back in December to assess if we want to move back there. Where do you live?

We live in the North-East in Newcastle. I love it here (despite the cold weather) we are only 20 mins. from the coast and just outside of the gorgeous Northumberland countryside. We have two Universities here so the town is quite cosmopolitan filled with students of all nationalites and in the past couple of years coffee shops and street cafes have really become popular. If only we had more sun!
Whereabouts are you thinking of relocating? It would be great to have more Cathe fans in the UK. I've been telling everyone I know about her workouts but so far I'm the only advanced exerciser I know and most certainly the only one who thinks lifing is something women should do!

Hi. Thanks for your reply. We are thinking south of London -- My husband's sister and her family are in Devon and we have friends in Bournemouth, Bristol and Clapham. My in-laws have retired and are traveling around the US at the moment (R.V.ing!) and have bought a property in Tavistock which they rent out and intend on settling in Spain. My husband was last from Guilsborough - N'Hants. I'm very keen to move there (UK) except for a) I'm an Exec/ Ass't and I'd make 1/3 of what I earn here in NYC and b) I would definitely miss the SUN SUN SUN!!!

Glad to hear such positive things about the U.K. though. We also have very good friends in Glasgow and Dublin -- so like I said, I am very keen to move! We'll hopefully have a better feel for things after our December "recon" visit.

Hi MasonK, one of the redeeming features weather-wise about the UK is that it is only a short journey from the rest of Europe - Spain, Italy and France are gorgeous countries - with SUN.

My in-laws have recentley bought property in France and are having it fixed up so that they can retire there soon - they have 2 properties so that their large family and friends can visit, though not all at the same time as they have 6 children and, at last count, 13 grandchildren! I hope your visit in December goes well.

BTW - i've just re-read your post and realise you're in NYC - I sincerely hope you and your family are safe. This must be a terrible time for you. My thoughts and prayers are with all in the US at the moment.
