Uh Oh....I may have been converted.....

Cathlete
.....to a Cardio Coach fan!!! WOW!

This morning I did V5 for the very first time since buying it (along with 7 & 8) earlier this week! WOW! Talk about a big ol' sweaty MESS! UNBELIEVABLE!

I have to admit I LOVED it! I'm such an iTread fan that I was sort of on the fence about a) buying a CC and b) actually DOING a CC. BUT WOW!

*loved the music
*loved the fact that his TIMES were as he said they'd be (1 minute really WAS 1 minute)
*loved that there wasn't much chatting going on while I was pumping my legs a million miles an hour
*loved the challenges
*LOVED THE WHOLE WORKOUT!!!

Thanks, everybody, for all the recent discussions about these workouts! I just may have to stop my Resolution Package with iTrain (oh no...did I really just say that)!

Gayle

I knew you'd come over to the right side! :p

I just have one question -- were you the lion or the gazelle? :7

I did this one yesterday, too, and I clocked the best time EVER on my elliptical. I could not believe how fast I was going. I loved the whole workout but that last challenge was AWESOME!!!

I was all set to do mine last night for the first time when it became clear the iPOD Nano I have that's been acting up for some time has finally given up. I wound up doing Butts and Gutts on my new puzzle mats (everyone's right about those things being real slippery when you get them). I'm going to go see if i can get a new one and, hopefully, try it for the first time tonight.

Did you use the heart rate monitor and follow the zones and all? I was going to try it freestyle the first time. What do you think?

Oh YES!! Another convert! :7 :7 Sean really knows how to make you work, doesn't he? So, Gayle, which one are you going to try next?

Welcome to the other side! It's great isn't it?!!

I've been reading about CC for at least 2 years and pretty much decided it wasn't for me. I was tempted a few times, but wasn't sure I would like the music. After all, what could be better than my own mixes made up of my favorite music? HA!

Michelle's compelling post last week pushed me over the edge. I purchased 3 volumes.
I had no idea what I was missing out on! I've doubled my calories burned. I'm sure of it. What's really great is that the music is uplifting and keeps you exactly where you need to be. I now realize my music mixes were all over the place.
Time flies too. Before CC, 60minutes on my elliptical felt like an eternity.

Anyway, I went back and bought 5 more volumes. I now own 1-8. I'm going to go for the body pump one too:7

Oh, no CC library would be complete without Pump!! It's fine as is for a quickie, but it's really fun to make a custom playlist with CC challenges in between the Pump circuits! http://www.pic4ever.com/images/leb.gif

And Press pLay! did you get the Press Play workout? You NEED that one, and then you can do Press Play Saturday with us :D . You can get that one for a $20 donation to the Choose Living Foundation. Here's the link: http://chooseliving.org/How_you_can_Help/CL_Merchandise.htm

I'm so glad you're enjoying the workouts. :)

After much reading about CC, what is it exactly? Is it for your iPod, MP3, etc? Is it on dvd? I haven't gone to web-site to check it out figured you guys are the ones to ask since you actually do it!

Is it walking? Running? Both?

Thanks in advance!!!!:7

Oh my, I never thought of mixing the pump with some challenges. That would be one killer circuit}(

The Press Play scares me, but I'll give it a try.

SOLD, and SOLD!

I love the music too! Perfect.

I did my second CC workout this morning (I only have V6) and it was even better :7 I swear I could feel the fat flying off my thighs, tummy and butt, I could almost see it flying off behind me into the wind ;)

I love Cardio Coach!

Tina,

I'm sure someone can explain it in more detail.
I'll try to help:)

They are MP3 downloads that you can use on any MP3 player(including ipod) or- you can do what I do.... I download it into my itunes and then burn them onto CD-R to play on my stereo or portable cd player.

I have an ipod on my birthday list this year:)

You can use the program with any exercise machine.

I'm using the programs with my elliptical trainer.
Coach Sean guides you through the workout. He tells you when you need to increase speed, increase incline, or resistance. He tells you where your perceived exertion needs to be and for how long. The music keeps your feet moving at the right pace.

Here is a description of each level

Ok, I just downloaded PressPlay...I'm thrilled this is going to charity!

Anyway, I'm listening to it right now. The music is wonderful!!!
Can't wait to try this Saturday:)

Several of us have designated the last Saturday of the month as Press Play Saturday, so the next group PP workout is coming up on the 28th :D :D :D . This is the most inspiring workout I've ever done, and I get a little teary-eyed every time I do it.

So, welcome to Press Play!! I think you'll love it. Be on the lookout for a thread about it -- I or someone will post as we get closer to the 28th. ;)

Sean is sooooo nice. I got an e-mail alert that Volume 8 was available. I e-mailed him and told him I ordered it a few weeks ago, and already had everything except volume 1, so I could not get in on the deal. He e-mailed me a gift certificate for $30 to either play Santa in June or do whatever I wanted with it. So, of course I ordered volume 1 and then was nice enough to give the remainder to my sister.

He is one nice guy.

Thanks Michelle! How much more fun to do a group Press Play! I will look for the post.

Oh Sean is nice on top of his super hot body and good looks! :9

OK.

I kept telling Sean I was the Gazelle because I was going so fast. Then I realized I didn't want to get EATEN, so I changed my answer to LION! lol

I did not use a HRM, just my body and my experience with my treadmill (having used so many iTreads :p ). I tackled the first challenge with 6% hills at 6.5mph. Challenge 2 sprints were 8.0-8.2mph, then challenge 3 sprints were at 9.0mph. I sure FELT like I hit my numbers!

Next, I think I'll tackle V8.

And yes, the dreamy voice doesn't hurt too much when I hear him in my left ear one second, then my right ear the next. Glorious heaven when he's in BOTH ears!

THANKS!!! I'm hooked!

Gayle

Hey Gayle.

I did vol 5 today too...for the first time I might add. I only did through the steady state after challenge 2 though.

I too am a HUGE Itread fan who just recently has come to appreciate the CC's. Although I have a newfound love and respect for Coach Sean, I am still devoted to my girl Grace as well. A person can love 2 instructors at once right? :7

I think my ITread resolutions pkg ends this month or next. I will not be re-upping right now as I simply have soooo many work outs and many of them have hardly been touched...too many work outs, too little time! ;)

Can you all recommend a CC workout if I were going to start with 1 (for the treadmill). What's your favorite?
