Tweaking the rotation

If I could get some input here, I would greatly appreciate it. My goal is weight loss and muscle building/toning (which will lead to additional fat/weight loss)

Monday- rest
Tuedsay- 4 mile run (actually it's more of a wog (walk/jog) but it's getting faster
Wednesday- weights (either MuscleMax, PUB/PLB, or SH)
Thursday- Low Max
Friday- weights (again, above choices, rotate through them)
Saturday- 3 1/2 jog (but soon changing to a Cathe Cardio, too hot)
Sunday- weights, above choices

My weight days are about 45-55 minutes except Wednesday, it's longer.
I work nights/weekends, so my Fri, Sat, and Sun are approx 50 min workouts. I can kick it higher/longer on Tue, Wed, and Thur.

It looks pretty good, but 3 days of weights w/ a day of low max (lots of leg drills) might be overkill, but maybe not.

Cathe's Hardcore weight loss rotation only uses MM two times a week.

Also, when you jog, do you do sprints periodically? Getting the HR sky high for a minute or two periodically increases calorie burn. Set a goal...like sprint to the next stop sign or something and start out only 4-5 times a jog and then increase that. That might make weight come off quicker. You could also jog with 1/2 lb hand gloves in each hand to add a little something.

Also, don't forget to stretch. Instead of just rest on Monday, I would do an intense stretch and then fit in stretching as needed or when you have time the rest of the week.

I do agree with beckymd on alot. If you can do sprints or intervals where you go faster on a run for about 60 seconds, then go slower for about 3 min and repeat that, it does help with fat loss. But only do that once a week. I agree also to so some stretching on Monday or even light Pilates or Yoga as that would be beneficial.

Personally for me I would stick with the Pyramids and Slow & Heavy for muscle building. Use Musclemax when you could be short on time..I don't know if you have any Imaxes as you could alternate them with Lowmax every other week. Hope this helps...:)

No, I don't do any sprints, I will try, though

I only do MM once a week, and alternate between the other sculpting tapes.

Oh, last thing, I do stretch after every work out...I just forget about it because it's habit. I was thinking about a stretch tape, though. Will have to wait for the next paycheck.
 
Amy, I think we posted at the same time...I think a stretch tape would be good when you can get it...:)
 
Thanks, I think that I have Imax 2 coming in the mail as well as CTX coming.....hence needing to wait until next paycheck for the stretch tape.
