TTOM and legs

Don't know why I've not asked here before. If anybody has any thoughts on this I would LOVE to know!

Ever since I can remember I do not get regular cramps at TTOM (well, I did in high school but that was a long time ago). Instead, my calf muscles got SO TIGHT that it is unbelievably painful to walk. No matter how much stretching or yoga or walking uphill I do, I cannot for the life of me get them to loosen up. And they get physically bigger. I have asked by OB/GYN and he says the hormones that cause water retention focus seem to on my gastroc -- suggested I take asprin to reduce swelling. That does nothing.

But now, as I get older (I'm 45) I'm getting this not only at TTOM, but also around the time of ovulation. And darn -- it just HURTS. I know it's weird -- any thoughts?

Yep - that happens to me though on BC I don't have a TTOM - I do quite often have the water retention that can increase my calves from 1 - 2 inches in circumference. It is quite painful as the skin is stretching.

I try to drink more water, eat cucumbers and asparagus and elevate my legs if they get too tight.

Sometimes a good sweat session helps too.
