Good morning!
Melanie, where are you this morning? Hopeuflly your getting a great workout on your new elliptical!

Hope everyone is feeling good today. Mikkia-hows the flu coming??

Anne-hi. I am 41, don't mind you asking at all. I have 1 dd that is 8 and have been ttc #2 for a year now. I had a m/c last October and then one starting a month ago. I am still spotting and having issues, but dr seems to think its just taking longer for the hormones to get out of my system. Most likely my problem is just age and that my eggs are old and its a chromosome problem. We are trying one more time and dr is putting me on progesterone as soon as I get a bfp. I have kept up with your struggles over the past year and I so wish the best for you and a healthy pregnanacy. You have been through so much. You are very strong.

Trish-I do hope the showing goes well. Our house in Miss has been on the market a year. Its so stressful! We are getting a new realtor starting in July. Good Luck!!!

Going to hit the treadmill. BBL

Morning to all! i am feeling much better this am. and no one in the house seems to be coming down with it, either. that is really good news. Not much on tap today, except i just got a nasty email from my MIL, her birthday was June 25 and we forgot. In my defense though, they are in a RV traveling with no perm. address, so you can't send a card or flowers or gift. She is so touchy about her birthday too. Also in my defense, she is NOT my mother, and I have been a little tied up with being on vacation and sick. I think dh is going to throw me under the bus and say it all my fault because I am pregnant. Oh well. They are the ones we really don't want to tell, as they will not be happy at all.
I think we are taking the kids to see Wall-e today, since we haven't had enough Disney for one week!
Oh, I forgot to tell you all that I wore a pedometer at Disney to see how much foot traffic we logged. The first day we logged 11.5 miles. My dd walked all of it, ds was in the stroller. No wonder she is so tired!
Susan-have a great day, and hope you and your dd have fun plans (you always do)
Hi Anne!
Trish-ditto about your showing!
Melanie-I hope you are ok this am.
Kate-good morning! how was swimming and hypnobirthing practice?

Susan, Enjoy your treadmill time!

Mikkia, Sorry about MIL-Drama. yuck. Have a fun day with the kids! WOW on your Disney mileage! Swimming was lots of fun and hb was very relaxing.

Hello Anne! Good luck with the week ahead!

Trish, Hope the showing goes well today!

----
Headed to a playground soon then the chiro and the grocery store. Home for the rest of the day nad no plans for the weekend. I'm feeling very tired and wierd today. I think my hormones are doing something really odd y'day and today - can't shake this odd mood.

Susan--I am keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP very very soon! Hope you are feeling better today.

Mikkia--Wow, your MIL must be pretty hard to take. Why won't they be happy about the baby? I cannot believe that you logged SO many miles at Disney. What a workout!

Trish--Good luck on the showing. Selling a house is so stressful. I hope that it goes smoothly!

Kate--I had wondered if you were feeling OK. Your posts seemed pretty short the past couple of days and not your cheery self. I hope that you get to feeling better soon. Enjoy your day. ((Hugs))

----
Yesterday went pretty well. Being with my mom and sis and all the kids together was great. The garden was beautiful, but my meeting was bad. I won't go into details. I'm excited about the weekend. My mom and Dad are taking my boys and my sister's 4-yr-old for the first ever "Gramps Camp" overnight tomorrow night. Mom has set up a kiddie pool, has a scavenger hunt planned, bought movies and lots of junk food. They are SO excited. I think she and my dad are more excited than the kiddos, if that's possible. It's going to be an annual event (if this year goes well). So DH and I will have a whole evening to ourselves tomorrow. :) Well, I'm sore today from yesterday's activities, but I think I'll do my boring yoga DVD and maybe some upper-body weights. Thanks for keeping me motivated guys!! Hope everyone has a great day!!

Just a quick note to say "hi" and I'm praying Trish that the showing goes well. :)

I have the weekend off of work, and went to bed at 930, sleeping until 8am! This AM I've been cleaning up all the piles around my house from being gone so much. DH is fishing with our pastor---he really needs a break.

Today I'm going to take out some small maternity clothes---things that won't like like maternity clothes so I can be more comfortable. I find that I can wear my normal skirts, so I'll probably wear skirts more often for now. The county fair is in town so I want to take the kids today or tomorrow. They are happily playing outside.

Anne, it's so nice to hear from you. TTC can be so discouraging. (hugs)(hugs). Hang in there.

I'll check back later. :)

Hi. I am still here. Don't expect me to deliver anytime soon. I am always at my due date twiddling my thumbs. I've had some changes in "discharge" - sorry if TMI, but i think that's a good sign.

Melanie, trish, and the other house sellers- saying a prayer to St. Joseph for you all. Around here, Catholics bury a St. Joseph statue upside down in front of a house if you're trying to sell and say the prayer daily.

Anne- thanks for hanging out with us. I am 37 and I have a handful of friends who are still waiting for their first.

I dropped my girls off at the park today for a day camp. It's a big urban park- on one side, the girl scouts are having a big event. On the other side, it's Pridefest. It makes me laugh.

Gus and I are staying home and getting cleaned up and organized. A friend dropped off a huge bag of "new summer baby" clothes from her daughter. I really hope this is still a girl because the clothes are so darned cute. My daughters were fall, so I really don't have much for summer for a girl.

I hope to get in B+G standing. I'm thinking squats and lunges are a good thing at this stage!

By MIL bought us a St Joseph statue that we buried in our yard last August, needless to say....it hasn't worked. :D :D We were/are considering all possibilities though.

Anyone want to try it? I'd be willing to unbury it and send it your way! ;)

Mikkia--how old is your MIL?!?!? Geez! Was she expecting an invite to Disney, or what?!?

My DH & sons forgot my July b-day all together last year. We were so busy with the move and everything, I didn't even have time to itch my mosquito bites! However, I bought myself Sirus sattelite radio for myself this year for my bday (and last years),....just in case they forget again!!!!

re: weird family members and family size comments- i think some people criticize family size based on their own insecurities- as if your decision on family size is a commentary on their decisions. WEIRD. I have a suggestion- just say "congratulations!" That's all. I think most people just don't know when to shut up.

The inverse is refreshing however- a lot of people tell me that they are envious, want 4 kids, wish they'd had more kids, wish their husbands would be more agreeable to more kids, etc.

And I think a lot mothers/MIL's need hobbies, my own included. Join a book club, go for a walk, something- just stop sulking and whining and complaining. I have 3 kids that do that. That's my soapbox.

Kristan for President!!!!!!!!!!!! You go, girl!!!!! Don't mess with soon-to-give-birth-again woman!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies--I did not meet my cleaning goals this week. The thought of tackling the kitchen is daunting. I know that if I can just get myself started, I'll want to finish.

My 11yodd needed a bigger bra. She's tall and bean pole thin, but developing these little "walnuts", so anyway....on to another stage of life with her.

My MIL's hobby is shopping--bargains and garage sales--and she's really good at it, almost too good. We are the recipients of her generosity, but when the kids drawers are overflowing, even Gap and Gymboree must stop coming into the house. When I go through clothes to reduce the amount, I have to make sure she doesn't see the bags waiting to go to Salvation Army or she'll go through them all and say,"are you sure you want to get rid of this?" All in all, she's a pretty good MIL...only a few complaints. She has come around and is excited about the baby now.

Jen--thanks for the review of Leslie Sansone. Do you have Tracy's walking video (I can't remember the name). We love The Office. We've only rented it through Netflix, because we don't have a tv. We think it is a very funny show.

Kate--sorry about the pregnancy hormonal wierdness. Been there. I need to figure out how to do a picture trail or something, but we have dial up and I have a feeling it would take a really long time.

Anne--I think your feelings are totally natural. It must be unbelievably hard. Since I've always been very fertile, it would be foolish for me to say I understand what you are feeling. I can only imagine and my heart aches for you. I'll continue to hold you and dh up in prayer (((hugs)))

Trish--I think I got down here too late to pray for your showing, but I'm doing it anyway--let us know how it went.

Susan--you also have a house you are trying to sell? I think I just need to make a prayer list from the group of ladies on this check-in. So much going on for everyone.

Mikkia--sorry about your MIL and her birthday--I never understood the big deal about birthdays anyway, unless you are a kid. You've got enough on your plate right now. Is she in general a difficult person? (I'm nosey--forgive me)

Stephanie--it sounds like your parents totally rock--what cool grandparents! Your children are truly blessed (plus they have a great mommy and daddy too;) )

Melanie--glad you could find something to wear. Are you still really tired? or did that full night's sleep refresh you a bit?

Kristan--you said, "re: weird family members and family size comments- i think some people criticize family size based on their own insecurities- as if your decision on family size is a commentary on their decisions. WEIRD. I have a suggestion- just say "congratulations!" That's all. I think most people just don't know when to shut up.

I totally agree and you ROCK--too late for a presidential bid?;-)

Hi everyone else--I'll try to check in later.

Take care all
Maggie:)

Stephanie, Thanks for your kind words - it means a lot. Glad all went well at the garden, sorry about the mtg. Have a fun date night! That sounds great! What wonderful grandparents! Keep up the good work with the WOs!!

Melanie, Enjoy your weekend off - try not to cleanmax too much! Hope the fair is fun and not too hot!

Kristan, Too cool on the clothes! Lunge! Squat! Squatting actually shortens the birth canal 20% while you are pushing. The discharge is a great sign - soon!!! ITA with everything you said about nosy people/MILs. You've got my vote!

Maggie, dial-up would take forever. We have broadband - its not super fast but it beats dial-up for sure. We can't get cable internet where we live so I have an air card that uses cell phone towers. LOL about DDs walnuts!!! that's too funny! Sounds like you got a lot of cleaning done this week - don't be too hard on yourself!

---------
It was so insanely hot and humid at the playground we left after an hour. Lunch is done and cleaned up - trying to decide now if we should take a nap or go swimming.....

Doing my WO after DDs go to bed. UB weights of some sort. Maybe BM2 UB - quick and efficient - followed by some Classical Stretch.

Have a nice afternoon.

Ok-update on MIL. DH did not tell her, as she was too busy feeling sorry for herself. She is basically a 55 y/o woman with a 12 y/o brain. I have beentrying to figure her out for 16 years, no luck. Theyare however, coming in august, so they can just figure it out then as I probably will be showing.
susan-good luck on your home, I now have a prayer list with 11 houses on it, I may not be doing you or Melanie any favors.
kate-I hope the weird pregnancy feeling goes away. that is so unnerving.
Kristan-good luck to you and I sure hope that you go soon. sounds like you are making progress. I love little girl clothes, they are the best.
Melanie-try not to clean too much, keep your energy for the important stuff.
Maggie-you are right about dial up. And dd and bras, the fun never stops!
Stephanie-i am so glad you had a good time with family. a date night too, lucky girl you totally need it!

Mikkia, I spoke with MIL a couple days ago and DH hadn't told her either!!!! Can you believe it? I didn't tell her either...he's going to have to!

This AM I felt good, for a couple hours, then incredibly fatigued. I coaxed the kids into taking a nap & napped for about 75 minutes or so. I talked DH into grocery shopping---he hasn't in over a year. Now I'm laying around the house feeling "blah" debating if I should hit the elliptical or patiently wait for little one to wake up from his nap. I've promised a trip to the county fair...

Mikkia, Sorry about your batty MIL! Mine is a bit of a nut sometimes too. Like when we told them I was pg this time her first comments were "A human baby?!" .... I was like "No, I'm gonna deliver a puppy!" So then she goes "What about the business?" I tried my best to make light of it but I was really hurt. How about just a simple Congrats! And my stepwitchmom has not even acknowledged the fact that I am pg depsite my enoromous belly! At least my mom is happy!

Melanie, My DH never grocery shops. If he did he'd come home with pies and crescent rolls!

Evening girls!

Mikkia~goodness your mil sounds like she needs a chill pill. lol I forgot my mils b-day last year and she teased me about it and I made it up to her. As if you don't have other stuff going on. sorrys she's being like that.

Kate~hope your mood gets better today. The playground sounds nice for the girls! Did you go swimming? We thought about it today, but about 1pm the dark clouds came in and it looked like rain so we came home nad then they blew over.. figures.. lol

Melanie~nothing wrong w/ getting out the maternity to feel comfy. Glad you got a nap in. The fair sounds fun too!! I love the cotton candy and the funnel cakes!

Kristan~wow that was nice of your friend.. it's always fun to get baby girl clothing!! That is an interesting thought about family size. My neighbor who has 1 son (lets just say he's very challenging and I can't really stand him.. I love most all kids too) Well she has told me she doesn't know how I do it w/ 3 and being pregnant.. I am thinking I don't know how she does it w/ just her 1 son. He is really mean to her and to other kids.

WEll I got a good walk this morning in w/ the kdis (while the house was being shown) then I got a run in this afternoon when they napped. I need to get my butt in gear and do pyramid tomorrow.. I might attempt both upper and lower and just do a walk after... we'll see. It's gonna be hot again too and humid. So far I haven't heard from the realtor so I don't know how the showing went.

thanks, trish - mood is improving. We did swim - it was very nice. Did you say funnel cake?! LOL re neighbor's kid! I must know your neighbor! Try the Pyramid bonus combo where the 2 WO's get mixed. It's a good one! Hope you get soem word about the showing.

Our pwer is out and I'm using the last of the battery. If I'm not back in the AM...our power is still out

I was doing L&G when we lost power but I dont want to be in the basement when my laptop dies so I came upstairs to do CS. See ya later!
