TTC Preggos July 28

Good Morning!
Melanie-you are in my prayers!!!! I know this is a scary time for you. Hang in there and keep us posted. Big Hug!

Jen2, Welcome back!!! I know you must be tired today girl! Hope your day isnt too long. I never had swelling with DD. My friends have though..sometimes it stays and sometimes it goes away. Maggie has been dealing with this, so Im sure she can help you.

Kate-we are waiting girl!!! I have seen other pics and have spotted you!

Hi to everyone to follow.

haha i just posted on sunday's board, so here is my message for today: oops :)

Good morning everyone,
its been days since i'm been on the forums so hopefully i can catch up with everyone.
melanie how are you feeling today? Sorry about your scare. Praying does help and sometimes its the only thing you can do. There is comfort in it, i hope everything works out for you - it will in time.

my trip was good. thursday the drive was long but not bad. friday was a rest day at my mother in laws. the kids were having a blast and had other people to pester Saturday we went ot a wedding which was a nice time (but a two hour drive). Sunday was AWFUL. Husband and I drove back but i only had four hours sleep and had to stop after two hours, wake up DH and make him drive. I felt like crap, sick and just so tired. I slept a lot.

We didnt get home until midnite and i had to get up at 530am. im at work right now but dragging..and i work 10.5 hours, so its only just begun..

Kate TELL ME ABOUT THE ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!! haha. i go in two weeks, better get some workout gear this weekend. I was checking out the pics int he RT forum . Looks like a blast. Cathe looks gorgeous! I'm so jealous of her figure all the time lol.

speaking of figures, i havent worked out since wedesday. we were on the raod a lot so i ate a lot of crap...i feel awful. i also noticed SWOLLEN FEET...will this go away?? I was in the car and aske dmy DH if my feet looked swollen he said yes and started laughing and called them chubby I dont like that very much. My mom said she never got swollen feet and thinks i should call the doctor. i think people get it and its normal tho. its just not very attractive.

im a mess..i just want to sleep for days...

Morning to all.
Weekend was hard, what with my inlaws here and all, Dh was on call all weekend. Oh well.
Jen2-Feet swelling could be from the car ride and eating high salt foods. Try lots of water and rest with your feet up(I know, Ha Ha as you have to work all day.) It should go away in the next day or so if it is from the car ride.
Susan-How are you doing? How are the workouts coming?
Kate-Hurry up and come back so we can hear all about the RT.
Melanie-I hope all goes well today with the meeting. Praying for you.
Hi Maggie, Lisa, Candra, Jen, Trish, Stephanie, Kristan, and anyone I skipped.
I have to be off to work, end of the month is never fun for the billing office.:(

Hi
Thanks for the tips. I took my feet out of my shoes and they look so huge right now :( not very attractive at all. I suppose i should get used to it - my whole body will be swelling soon! haha. I'm coming up to the end of my third trimester pretty soon, i believe i'm starting my 11th week right now.

I go on the road trip in august so i need to get my booty in gear! You are right, all that high salt junk foood i've been eating, especially on the road. I was good yesterday i had fruit and a yogurt and water for breakfast, a V8 for snack (never had it before that was kind of weird) and i had a chicken salad (grilled) from bojangles while my DH ate fried chicken adn biscuits. For dinner we had wendys - i got a baked potoat and the bacon ranch chicken salald. now it comes with fried chicken so i pulled off most of the fried coating. i figured the whole month was a awash so whats another day.

i'm detoxing starting today though! Well once i go grcoery shopping. We have ZERO food in our house. Im craving my moms homemade minestrone soup - its got fresh cabbage, potoats, carrots, celery, plum tomatos and flavorings etc. Very yummy and very healthy - just chock full of veggies!

I hope everyone has a great day today I am so anxious to hear back from kate!

U/S Update

Hey ladies. Just got off the phone from u/s. They have an opening at 1030, so I should know it a couple hours how the wee-one is doing. I"m praying that everything is okay.

I spoke to pharmacist in town, and he's not ready to hire a pharmacist right now---enjoys me filling in as relief pharmacist.

I contact hospital pharmacy, and haven't heard back yet.

Hi Ladies--

++++
Melanie--you are probably at your ultrasound now, so I'm praying for you and waiting to hear the results. (((hugs)))

Susan--hope the back continues to heal up.

Jenm--I have lots of swelling of the feet, but all I can offer is sympathy. I have no solutions. My swelling is going up my calves :( .

Mikki--How long do you have the inlaws? And will dh have some time off to entertain them so it doesn't all fall on you?
++++

I forgot to list my workouts for the week yesterday--Dh fixed the stationary bike--hurray!

Chest and back--my own workout--heavy
40 min stationary bike
Shoulders--my own again
60 min stationary bike
Biceps and triceps--my own again

I feel like I'm not getting enough cardio, but I know that I'll get that back post partum. I really don't want to lose muscle. I can't seem to do leg stuff without aggrevating the back, so I may lose muscle there :( .

Maggie :)
37 weeks, 3 to go

Melanie- I hope everything goes well. I've had those "why am I bleeding?" u/s numerous times. Scary. Didn't you also have the subchorionic hematoma? I had one in 2005.

Maggie- thanks for the baby carrying parameters. My 7 yo is proving very helpful- she can get the baby changed and dressed. The 5 yo can get her 2 yo brother dressed. If everyone cooperates, I don't have to dress anyone!

Jaypea/Jen- your compliments are so sweet. Thanks. Do yourself a favor and don't take any inspiration from the way I eat, which is anything I feel like eating! If I could master the clean eating, I could easily drop 10 pounds.

Jen2- yuck on the drive. It's always something with car rides that long.

Mikki- i hate the end of the month too- I am an atty (parttime) and we have to have all of our hours in at the end of the month, as well as our bills to clients.

It's so quiet here- everyone is away at camp/preschool/etc. Just me and MImi. I plan to cook, do some laundry. etc.

My PP bleeding started up after it had stopped for 5 days! In the middle of Sports AUthority. I literally had to duck behind a bin of soccer balls and shove a pad in my pants. I'm lucky someone didn't think i was shoplifting. Not sure if I had "overdone" it with activity, but i am going to stick to easy cardio this week.

Last week looks great on my calendar- IMAX3, GS legs and Drill Max. BUT I did the super wussy versions-

Imax3 cardio only (no intervals)
GS legs floor- felt WONDERFUL!
DrillMax- upper body only

lots of walks and a couple of 10 minute segments of yoga.

Hi ladies!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!
Melanie--I hope that your ultrasound goes well! Please keep us posted!

Kate--How was the road trip!!!???

Susan--How's your back feeling?

Jen--Glad the trip went well. I know you must be SO exhausted! I was worried your feet would swell with all of the riding. Mine swelled really badly when we went to my in-laws a few weeks ago, and that was only a 4 hour drive! Prop your feet up and drink lots of water!!

Mikkia--Sorry your weekend was rough. I hope that you have a good day today!!

Kristan--I'm so sorry you had such a terrible time in Sports Authority. You must have been mortified!! Hope you're feeling good. How's Mimi? Your workouts sound great! Did you have a c-section?

Maggie--Your workouts look great! I've given up on maintaining any form off my old self. Haven't worked out in days. I've been ultra sluggish. I need to get this big butt of mine in gear!!

Well today we will stay inside because Henry woke up with a bad cold. He's sneezing and sniffling. And it's just too hot to go outside for long. I knew he was coming down with something because he was SO ILL last night and he slept really late this morning. I'm now doing laundry. He also wet the bed last night. Poor thing.

My mom and sister took me to get my nails done and to lunch and shopping Saturday. I was gone ALL Day, and it was SO nice. DH was superdad and took the kids to lunch, a sports store where Frank Wycheck (sp? some ex-NFL guy) autographed a football for them and then to the zoo.

Hi,
The weekend was pretty normal around here. I took DS to neighbor's daughter's party, and he had a blast for an hour on the blow up water slide. DH's poker night went well too. We are in the midst of staining a dresser for baby's room, and I have been pulling weeds. Get this...DS is about 50% potty trained (yipeeeeee!!!). He still won't poop in the toilet, but he has been "peeing like daddy does" as he stands on a phone book for the extra height. Hey, I am fine with that! I think we are FINALLY on our way! I did not exercise yesterday, but did tons of weed pulling. Today, I plan to do Cardio Kicks.

Kate-Road trip? Details, girl!

Melanie-I am thinking about you. Let us know how U/S goes.

Susan-I have to check out those RT pics. This site isn't as easy as the other one to navigate through.

Maggie-Wow-I am from a family of teacher's too (my great-grandfather, uncle, etc). I don't blame you for teaching/planning the lessons yourself. It sounds like you love the excitement and challenges of teaching. I love to teach-no two days are the same.

Jen #2-Sorry to hear about swollen feet. Yes, try to put them up whenever you can. Mine were horrible with 1st pregnancy. I had to get wide shoes at Payless, and my sneakers didn't fit at all. Flip flops work well, too. I hope it goes down for you.

Kristan-I know that the bleeding is not funny, but the part about ducking behind a rack to put a pad on is. The ironic thing is that the same thing happened to me at a sports store (Outdoor World) about 3 weeks after my C-S #1. I felt fine, went with DH to get a fishing license and all of a sudden I felt this warmth (blood). I went to the bathroom and decided that I needed to get home right away. Previously to the store, I had been walking (very carefully) through the woods with DH helping him look for a good fishing spot. I guess I overdid it. That will happen from time to time, don't worry.

Hi Candra, Mikkia, Trish, Morris (and anyone else I may have forgotten).
-Jen

Lost Baby

Just a quick note. We lost the baby, just too much stress, I suppose. We'll have to get confirmation HSG levels in 2 days, then a d/c unless nature takes it's course before that. :(

oh melanie i am so sorry to hear that. Hugs to you and your family. I know it is very hard to go through something like that. Please feel free to post here or email me if you need to talk to someone. Take care of yourself.

Melanie - Lots of hugs and prayers being sent to you and your family. I'm so sorry for the loss. Is this definite and confirmed? I've been there before with a loss discovered at 11 weeks so if you need to pm me, I'm here.

Lisa

Hello ladies! Sorry I've been MIA. The kids go back to school on Wednesday and I've been trying to wrap up some last minute details for their school things. I did a lot of walking last week, but did not get to do anything else. I've been walking a lot of hills which has been a good cardio for me.

Jen - Yay for ds being 50% potty trained! He'll be 100% before baby is here then we hope!!

Stephanie - Sounds like a nice day out. Sorry ds has a cold.

Kristan - LOL about the pad in Sports Authority!!

Maggie - Great job with the w/o's! I feel the same about not wanting to lose muscle, but I already know that I have to work back up to where I was pre-pg because my back gives me problems also. I've been upping my reps, but I know my strength has gone down.

Melanie - I'm thinking of you.

Hi Jen2, Candra, Mikkia, Trish, Susan, Morris, Anne, and everyone else! I'm sorry if I missed anyone, my brain is half awake.

Anyway, I should be getting ready for work already. I bought our carseat and stroller yesterday. Spent more money than expected, but I'm happy with the purchase. I have my glucose test on Thursday, so I should really watch the eating. I actually have been eating pretty well except I love my sweets and somehow find the need to have an ice cream or something daily! Bad, I know. But my meals have been decent, but I'm just justifying the sweets.

Lisa

melanie, i am so very very sorry for your loss. i know you have been under tremendous stress, and i know this will leave a huge hole oin your heart. you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. please e mail me if you want.

hi everyone - have good weekends?

kate, i too cannot wait to hear about the road trip!

maggie, awsome workouts! you will be back to cardio before you know it. you will also be super strong post partum!

hi stephanie - sending workout vibes your way!

hi lisa - good luck with the glucose test. good job with the eating too! a little icecream is perfect for growing a baby!

kristan, i too empathized with your pad story:) great workouts! it must be strange to have a quiet huse with just you and baby. it is nice, though, isn't it?

hi jen and jen - hope you are well.

hi mikka, hi candra, hi susan, and sorry for anyone i am missing.

i had to go to work today for a few appointments with aidan. it was quite tiring, really, but went okay. i was suposed to go shopping afterwards but am way too tired so i came home to relax before getting ds1 at school. wrokouts are as normal as they can be at this stage with a ittle guy who does not sleep. we have been up since 2am. i did take him for an 8 mile run this morning during his nap. also did coremax. it is nice to work my abs again. i am reallyhoping aidan gives me a few more hours between feedings (okay, i'd settle for 1!) at nght soon. i should not complain though, and nursing is going great and he is growing so fast.. take care, everyone.
