TTC/Preggos July 24

I guess Kate is in the sky and Jenn#2 is on the road this morning.

Melanie-how was your ride to work. Did you get to workout this morning? How are those calves?

AF arrived last night, hope this isnt another trick! It feels like the real thing though!
NOt much going on today, as usual. Going to walk on the tm in a few and then play with dd.

Hi ladies! Where is everyone?

Susan--Sorry about AF coming. But at least now you can get on a schedule. I'm crossing my fingers for next month!

Kate--Did you tote your computer with you?? If so, let us know all about the RT!!

I hope Jen has a safe trip with her DH and the kiddos!

Melanie--How are you feeling? Did the meds help your legs?

Hi to everyone else!

-----
I talked my mom and sister (and nieces) into coming to my house today for our playdate. DH filled up the kiddie pool, and I've got the water table, easel, new "clubhouse" ready to go. However, Sis called last night and told me that my oldest niece had a sore throat. Hopefully she'll feel better today and can come play. I've been having some really bad problems the past couple of days with my oldest, though, so I don't know if he deserves a playdate. He's really been smarting off to me. I never spoke to my mom with the tone he uses sometimes. And he's only SIX! Ugh. Hoping his mood improves with the day...

Hope you all have a great day!!!

Good morning

Hi ladies. My calves are doing good. The Ca/Mg/Zn worked like a charm. No poop in 3 days though!

Re-cap from yesterday---got a call from K-Mart pharmacy that they are buying my pharmacy out on 5th of August. Basically we all lose our jobs (store will be shut down) and I have to negotiate with KMart or find a job elsewhere. It's all top secret and they're not letting anyone else know until July 31st. I have 4 days left here, so we don't have much time to make a decision.

I'm trying so hard not to be stressed, I want my baby to be healthy & I have so much on my plate now. Urgh!!! One day at a time.

Anywho, sorry to be self-absorbed & a downer...

Good note: I did Cardio Coach this AM--3.5miles. Felt great to sweat & de-stress. :)

Hi everyone. I couldn't stand it anymore so I did two very easy workouts this week: IMAX3 cardio only/Mindy Mylrea strength toolbox lower body no weights and DrillMax upper body/short walk. I need the endorphins! I am going to try to get in 3 days a week for another couple of weeks and then start with the harder/higher impact stuff. Right now I am staying low impact and keeping weights at 10pound or under (or not even using them).

Mimi is great. i'm learning to follow her lead and it's making my life a lot easier. She tends to cluster feed in the evening but then last night she slept form 8-2. I'll take that! I weighed her on the WiiFit and I think she's at least 10 pounds. We have a ped appt this afternoon; I will report back.

I also have an ob appt. I have a postnatal check and I also need him to look at a tiny lump in my armpit that I discovered at the end of pregnancy. great- another thing to worry about!

Melanie- I am so sorry you are having to deal with the job issues. Very stressful. Heck, I am stressed for you!

Maggie- like your pic. You look EXACTLY how I imagined.

hi there everyone! i cannot believe how little i post now - makes me kind of sad.

melanie, i am so sorry for your stress and job stuff. perhaps this will lead to something better, though? i am glad you got a workout in to manage the stress. i will pray for you. when is your us?

hi stephanie - your house sounds great for a play date!

maggie, you must be getting so close. how is your back?

hi lisa - how are you?

kate, tell cathe i said hi, and thanks for all the help:)

hi jen - how is your summer?

hi kristan - i am so jealous of mimi's sleep. guess you deserve it for having a 10lber. aidan is now probably 7.5 or so. last night i got 2 4hr stretches between feedins (so about 2.5 hrs of sleep for me each time). usually it is closer to 3hrs between feedings, though. great workouts! how is your youngest adjusting to th baby?

hi everyone else!

i am happy to be back to impact and running, doing 35-40 miles a week and 2 step workouts - actually did imax 3 on monday! my 6wk checkup was fine, but i still have a litle swelling around the incision and no skin sensation there. hope that resolves soon. i am also having some anxieties about returning to work. i just do not want to:( oh well. i wtill hvae 5 weeks.

gotts run tend to aidan. take care, everyone!

Melanie--I'm so sorry about the job woes. What terrible timing! I know you're stressed out, but maybe this means you are meant to be somewhere else. I'll be praying something comes along very soon!

Kristan--Congrats on your sleep last night! I hope that it's the beginning of a new trend with Mimi! Let us know what the doc says about the lump. I get them occasionally under my arm when I'm super tired or coming down with a cold. My lymph nodes just tend to react. Maybe it's just because you're a little run down.

Morris--You totally amaze me with your workouts! I never worked out that hard pre-preg!! I sure hope though that you keep checking in. You're such a great fitness role model. As for the incision insensitivity, mine was numb forever. I mean months.

Well, niece's sore throat is gone today, so they are planning to come over. However, my sis is chronically late, so I'm hoping that they get here while the sun is still out.

Hope you ladies have a fantastic day!! Kiss those babies for me!! So glad our new mommies checked in. It makes me even more excited for October to get here!! :)

Good Morning!

Melanie, sorry about the job. Everything will work out how it is supposed to:) Try not to worry too much about it, I know easier said than done.

Kristan, good for you getting your workouts in. I am glad the baby is sleeping good for you.

Stephanie, have a fun playdate. One of my sisters is constantly late too and it drives me crazy. I like to always be on time.

Morris, how many days do you have to go back to work?

Susan, I am glad AF came so you can start trying:D Do you chart while ttc?

Hi Maggie, Jen, Trish, Kate and Lisa

My oldest spent the night at his friends last night so me and Owen are enjoying some alone time today. I think I am going to do kickboxing and then take Owen to the carwash. This is actually a treat for him, he loves it there and there is a restaurant inside so we can have lunch.

Hello Girls! I'm in NJ!!!!!!!!

After a VERY tearful goodbye to DH & DDs (from DDs and ME!!) I got off and am now waiting for my room to open.

Catheites are stremaing in - betternot be anti-social! Hopefully bbl.......

Hello!
Kate!! Glad you could check in. Keep us posted on all the happenings in NJ!

Candra-No, I have never charted while ttc! I dont really have trouble getting pregnant. I got preg with dd in 2 months. Last summer it took 2 trys, and this last time it took 2 months. My poor eggs are just too old I think, and I can't stay pregnant! Im giving it one more go though!

Melanie-Everything will work out. Just try not to stress about it. Have you ever worked for a chain before? Would Kmart be a closer drive?

Stephanie-have fun with your sister...when she gets there!

Hi Morris and Kristin

Mikkia-did you make it to the movies today?

We are going to eat at my brother in laws house tonight. Im excited about getting out!

Thanks

Than kyou again for all your support. We will get through this. The good news is that it is short lived, I'll know by the end of next week---it won't drag on. I"m fairly certain I will work for KMart (I've never worked for a chain) so we'll see what happens---I always told myself I'd neve work for a "chain". Never say never, right?

Susan, you know what they say---once you stop trying/give up----it happens! I"m living proof.

Best get going, I'm really beat today. Didn't sleep too well last night, I'm glad I have a few days off. :)

Hi, sorry so late checking in. I didn't have to work today and I enjoyed every moment of it, okay up until the part where we saw Space Chimps. The kids loved it, I however want the 1 hour and 33 minutes of my life back.:p
Melanie-i am sorry to hear of the woes in your life. You so deserve a break. Great job on the work out this am, at least one big positive.
Morris and Kristan- so glad you checked in. You all are so good about getting back to fitness as normal. Big inspiration for me!I love the names you all have for your kids!
Kate-have a great time(so so jealous)
Susan-af is a good sign, that means 2 weeks until the next go around.
Stephanie-hope you had a great day with company. I did enjoy 4ds kickbox!
Candra-my ds loves the carwash too. Especially the part where they put the tricolored foam on the car and the fact that no one is driving it thru the car wash. So funny.
I did 4ds high intensity. It was hard. That is one of the best back and chest routines ever. can't wait to try it again pp. Tried a new chicken recipe for dinner. It is baking right now, I sure hope it is good! Hopefully Hurricane Dolly moisture is done with us. We have gotten around 5 in. of rain since last night. Kids won't make another day inside!

Hi

Hi! I meant to post lastnight, but then DH and I got into a little disagreement about something, so I never got back to finish the post.
Yesterday I did my first Jari Love workout-Slim and Lean. I liked it, and I plan to keep in for a few days before returning it to Netflix. I also had my OB appt yesterday (routine check-up). I had the nasty, young female doctor who obsesses about weight gain. When I was pregnant with DS #1, I saw her right after Christmas for an appt. She said, "Well, someone enjoyed their Christmas holidays a bit much...." This time she said, "5 pounds...that's a bit much (all the while, she was making a disgusted look)." I shot back with, "Well, isn't this the time in a pregnancy when a mother is supposed to gain a pound a week?" I also told her that I do take care of myself and exercise regularly. She said, "Well, I guess we'll let you go being that you're pregnant and all". Where the heck is her bedside manner???? At least I won't see her again, and she won't be doing my c-section (thank God).
I did not workout today, but did walk around a lot at a zoo with DS.

Kate-I can't wait to hear how the road trip is. Isn't Jen #2 going too?

Melanie-So sorry to hear about work issues. Hopefully, you will be rehired by K-Mart. And, who knows, you may end up really liking working for them. Enjoy your days off.

Kristan-It's great to "see" you here. Mimi sounds like a great sleeper-lucky duck! Don't worry about the numbness, it goes away in time...

Morris-It's great to "see" you too. I have a hard time posting now, and I am not working during the summer and don't have a newborn, so I can imagine how I'll be in October when the baby arrives. Did you read a week or so ago that DH told me that he was not set on the name Aidan? He wanted to look at names some more (grrrrrr). So, we did. It's still a toss up between Nicholas and Aidan, but I LOVE Aidan. Who knows, we could still change until October! I bet you are having fun with him.

Susan-Hopefully AF comes and goes so you can get back to normal already!

Mikkia-Wow! 5 inches of rain. Holy Cow! Did you get any in your house/basement?

Stephanie-It sounds like you had a fun day planned. Did everyone behave? I heard a little boy (about 7 years) acting horribly smart with his poor grandmother today. Boy, that made me mad. This was really bad, and I am sure your DS didn't talk to you this way.

I am off to bed. The bug people are coming tomorrow at 7 am to make sure the ants are finally gone. I think they are!

Hello Trish, Canrda, Maggie, Lisa and anyone else I may have missed.
-Jen
