*** TTC/Preg Wed. July 23 ***

I am packing for RT today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I leave tomorrow for the airport at 7. I am so excited!

Lots of last-minute things to do today.

Melanie, Are you sleeping in today????

Good AM

No workout for me today---woke up way too late. About 90 minute later than I need to for a workout! Oops!!

I was very tired, and needed my rest. My legs were hurting so bad yesterday. My back was sore too-but I think from Turbo Jam b/c I hadn't done that in a while, that was as good "hurt". The calf pain sucks! Just another friendly reminder from my body to eat healthy & drink my milk!

I work just today & tomorrow, then I have 3 days off. I could get used to this 40 hr/week business. :) Actually, I'd like to drop down to 30 hrs/week + a couple shifts in town. That would work out nice.

Anyways, enough babbling. Must get my butt in car & drive to work. I found my passport, so I'll be driving thru Canada this AM. Nice change of scenery---and then with my SIRUS radio I got for my b-day----listed to Top 80s. So much fun!!!!

Gotta, go check back later ladies!

Kate - have a great time!! Take it easy and have fun. Is this your first RT? It will be my first when its my turn in August. Im nervous and excited and it will be nice to workout. Those 3 workouts in one day will be killer, but in a good way i hope :) Fill me in when you get back!!

Melanie - have a nice scenic drive to work today.

Im at work too and i think we have a similar schedule :) But I am taking tomorrow off because we have that 15+ hour drive to VA ahead of us. Sigh...only to turn around and come back on sunday!

So i'll be MIA this weekend, just like Kate.

I havent worked out since sunday. i hope to put the stepkids to bed early tonite and squeeze in an hour, get some sleep and be up by 6 for when dh gets off duty. I will be driving so he can sleep. Yuck..sleeping in a car after being up all nite. Not very comfy!
Then again, driving 15 hours while in your first trimester...lol

Hope everyone has a great day!

Melanie, Enjoy your rest day! Well, resting from a WO anyway!
A nice quiet drive almost sounds relaxing right now! Enjoy your new radio!

I ordered Baby's nursery stuff last night. It's the pink and yellow bird theme (Penelope) from PotteryBarn Kids. Need to figure out exactly how to do the walls but I'm thinking the bottom 2/3 to be vertical dark green, light green and white stripes. The top 1/3 will be pink. Painter man is coming next week to check out the room and figure out how much paint he'll need. A LOT!!!:p

Maggie, I miss the devilish smiley too!

Good morning!
Kate-Im so excited for you! Take lots of pictures for us! Is someone coming to help with the girls or is dh on his own?
Melanie-Hope you perk up today!

Luckily dd did not get sick last night..I really thought she was though. She HATES to vomit and sort of panics when she gets that feeling, but dh is great at talking to her about that and calming her down. I don't do vomit well either!
We will just be hanging out today, AGAIN. I might drive to her school and see if the classes are posted. Its just 2 miles away, so I think Im good to do that.
Breasts are still wicked sore and sharp pains in one. Surely AF will arrive soon!
DD is up already wanting breakfast. bbs

Jen - Yes, my 1st RT. I'll give you all the details when I get back. Good luck with the drive to VA. Hope you get to WO tonight.

Susan, My sister (16) might come spend the night Thur. so DH can get the guys out in the morning. He hates to be gone 1st thing in the morning. I'm sure his mom will take them out to eat a lot. Why does no one do this for ME when he goes away on business?!?!?! Glad DD is holding it in! And regarding AF: the sooner she comes, the sooner you can try again!

Here's the link for the baby's bedding:

Kate i love the bedding and the color combo. my wedding colors were beautiful light sage green like that and light pink :)

I still havent decided if i want the classic pooh set or to do something different and less generic

if its not being to nosy, what does your bedding come with and how much did you pay for it? im trying to compare and price shop :) i have yet to actually see bedding in person, i've only been browsing the web

Jen, Pink and green are my fav. colors together. DDs share a room that is bright hues of pink & green. Even their celing is hot pink! Too cool that your wedding was those colors too! And just baout nothing is too nosy for me. I paid $200 for 2 sheets, a quilt, and a crib skirt. We don't get the bumper because the ties never line up with the slats and posts in the crib. It fits awkward and falls down all the time. If I were handy I'd sew my own ties on but I am not handy for sure! I need Stephanie!!

Kate I also love the bedding!!

Jen-have a good day at work! Your poor dh will be wiped out! Will you have to drive the entire way?? I depise driving, luckily my dh prefers to drive. Your dh must get some sleep though! I will send you some feel good vibes for the trip!
Melanie-how was your drive? Are you perky today?

Question for those who have treadmills-do you get shocked alot from you tm? like when you walk on carpet kind of shock? Mine is just awful!

Good morning ladies!

Susan--Glad your DD didn't get sick last night. Sounds like she's feeling better if she's in the mood for breakfast. I know it's like averting disaster when you can avoid vomit. I too HATE vomit/vomiting. Blech. As for your treadmill question, I haven't used my treadmill in years. It's living in my garage right now (no space for it inside). DH keeps promising we're going to set me up a nice workout area in there with my treadmill, boxing stuff, etc, but we've yet to do it. :(

Kate--Have fun on the RT!!! But BEEEEE CAREFUL!! You are going to amaze everyone!! Tell Cathe I said hi. :D Your nursery sounds SO cute! You'll have to post pictures! I wouldn't worry about not having a bumper for the crib. I don't do bumpers anyway because I'm SO afraid of SIDS.

Melanie--Sorry you are so tired today. Take it easy and rest those legs!

Jen--Hope the trip preparations are going well. I don't envy your drive! As for the classic Pooh, that's what I did with my other boys. Oliver had a light blue room and Henry had my favorite nursery so far, which was sage green with Pooh accents. I didn't go theme crazy. My MIL made me a quilt with sage green, butter yellow and white in it and some of the fabric had honey bees in it (no children's fabric, though). I hung it above the crib. And I ordered a set of classic Pooh prints which are prints of actual pages from the A.A. Milne book that I framed and hung. I love those prints. I found them on a google search.

Hi to Maggie, Candra, Lisa, Jen and Trish and anyone else I may have missed!!
--------
I thought it was going to rain all day here today and I could clean the house without guilt. I always feel guilty keeping the kids cooped up inside if it's pretty outside, but it's going to be pretty, so I'll be cleaning and playing outside and trying to finish up the church newsletter today. And I HOPE I finally get a workout in. Whew. Tomorrow I'm taking a playday with the boys! Hope everyone has a great day!!

Hi Susan! Thanks on the bedding. No TM here.

Melanie, Sorry for your woes! Can you put your feet up at all? Prob. not!

Hi everyone--

Okay--I still see the smiley's below me as I type, but everytime I click on one, it goes up by the title of the post, so I'm going to try to to them the "text" way and see if they translate. I'm totally baffled.

Dd definitely had beet pee. I'm a bit relieved. I think she's a little bummed.

My feet are swelling so badly by the end of the day, that I'm afraid I'm going to get stretch marks on them.

Jen--hurray about the ants!

Susan--sorry about Dd--I'm glad it didn't come to vomit. And your are okay to drive now? Yes!

Melanie--drive through Canada? sounds beautiful and exotic. Sorry your calves are killing you.

Kate--have fun packing for the road trip. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Stephanie--Enjoy your pretty day!

JenM--I'm in the late 3rd trimester and driving 15 hours would make me crazy. The 30 min trip to bible study last night nearly did me in. I feel for you.

Hi Mikkia, Hi Candra, Hi Trish, Hi Anne, Hi Lisa, Hi Morris, Hi Kristan

take care all
Maggie :)
36 weeks, 2 days

Stephanie-Have a fun day. What are the temps there? Its going to hit 100 here again..YUCK. Luckily dd is not a big vomiter! Her first time to truly throw up I think she was 4. DH has 1 time in the 20 years I have known him and the last time I did was when I caught the virus dd had when she was 4! Before that it had been 10 or more years.
Ok enough vomit talk!

Kate-how is the packing going?

Melanie-stretch thouse calves!!
Jen2-how is work going?
Mggie-I have not been officially told I can drive, but I think 2 miles would be ok

Hi to everyone!

Hi Girls!

Kate, the bedding is so cute! I bet you are going to be exhausted when you get home from the rt, but it will be so worth it:)

Melanie, sorry about the sore calves. How was the drive?

Susan, I never noticed getting shocked from my tm, but I have heard it can be a problem. There are mats you can put underneath them to help. What grade is your daughter going into? I can't believe it is already time to start thinking about school:(

Maggie, when do you start school for your kids? Sorry your dd is bummed. If she only knew:D

Stephanie, I have the same guilt with cleaning when I should be doing things w/ my kids. What are we supposed to do though? Live in our own filth:p

JenM, I hope your trip goes well. Will you be stopping a lot?

Hi Mikki, Trish, Jen and Lisa!

My boys are still sleeping and it is almost 9am! I need to go put my workout clothes on and do gs legs. No great plans for today maybe a trip to Costco and the bank. Last night I went to Macy's and Gymboree and bought the baby some clothes. Check back later

Candra

Stephanie, I will pass on your hello to Cathe! What do you have planned with your boys for tomorrow?

Maggie, Good news on the beets. It owuld be awful to deal with menstrual stuff at that age. Hope your tootsies stop the swelling. I got s.marks just about everywhere with my 1st pregnancy. "What do you mean I can't eat whatever i want becasue I'm pg?!?!"

Susan, No packing yet. After naps for sure. Sorry so hot - yuck.

Candra, yay to kids sleeping in! DDs slept til 7:30, which is late for them and wonderful for me!

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well today. Not much going on here, we are expecting outer bands of Hurricane Dolly anytime now so we are going to movie this afternoon to avoid the rain.
I am going to do 4DS Kickbox after that, I am assuminng I will be taking a nap during the movie(we are seeing Space Chimps).
Kate-we will miss you can't wait to hear about the RT. I am going to look at Pottery Barn today for nursery ideas. I love their stuff.
JenM-You get to go in Aug! I am so jealous, maybe next year. good luck on your trip.
Stephanie-Which is your favorite 4ds? I haven't done the kickbox one yet, its on tap for today.
Susan-glad the vomit monster didn't stop at your place (I hear he is at my neighbor's however:confused:)
Maggie-Still praying for labor pains coming your way soon.
Hi Candra, Lisa, Anne, Kristan, and anyone else I missed(Trish, Jen) gosh my brain does NOT work today!

Pottery Barn

I got some Calcium Magnesium Zinc for my leg cramps. I'll let you know if it works. I"m up to 3-docusate a day for my constipation----I feel like a walking pharmacy. :)

I really like Pottery Barn stuff too. Maybe I'll order their catalog.
