TTC/Preg *** July 3

I ended up feeling really good last night so at 9PM  I did LIC cardio and blasts. Not sure what got into me! I'd like to do some wieghts tonight.

Today is our 9th anniversary!

Busy day for us. We're going out of town for Isabel's annual pictures (Gina had hers already), tht includes fun shopping, a mega-huge park, and a picnic lunch. After that I have a mtg w/ our attorney to go over some business issues.

Maggie, I'm gald you guys have good "parents". =) Kinda stinks when you can't count on your own, doesn't it?

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning,
may i be part of your check in's? I dont want to barge in :)
everyone has been so helpful with all my millions of questions. Hopefully my first dr appt on the 16th will help to fill me in as well

This baby is kicking my butt this week. I'm so tired, cant get thru workouts the past couple of tries. I get hungry but then it sends me to the bathroom. Its like food runs right through me, sorry if thats TMI :)

I'm sleepy right now, its only 7am and i'm already at work. Just have to get through 10.5 hours and I get my three days off!

Hope everyone is doing well. Next week my three step children are coming down to Florida for the whole month of July. We will be at Disney world next week. We can only afford one day at the park due to our numbers and two nites at a hotel. I'm taking them to the Crystal Palace for the Pooh Character breakfast

Everyone take care and be good to yourselves!

Welcome jenmgo! I'm right there with you concerning fatigue. Man, this pg is kicking way down.

No more "movement/gas" in abdomen---just heaviness feeling on the left side that has gone away for now.

Extremely tired yesterday, my legs were super sore too. Decided to get my full 8hrs of sleep in rather than w/o this AM--since I'll have 3 days off to w/o starting tomorrow---Yeah to paid holidays!!!! Today will be a 13 hour day though, I can do it!!!!

Anne, I also will be praying for some healthy strong spermies to activate your egg and stick. I hadn't realized your DH went through surgery, that's great! Keep us posted.

I will check things out later, for now I gotta get to work so I don't have to drive tooooooooo fast. ;)

Jen, Glad you joined us! Sorry about the pg woes! The 1st trim. seems to drag along and then all of a sudden your pg is over! Have fun at Disney - we've never taken our girls but hope to someday.

Melanie, Have a great day - and keep your speed down!;-)

Good morning. Hope everyone has a nice long holiday weekend coming up! We are going to Houston tonight after work, I got shamed into it by family. We will see how it goes. Its a 5 hour drive, but I got the kids a new dvd to entertain them, hope it works.
We went to Fredericksburg yesterday and picked peaches, tomatoes and blackberries. I think the kids had a good time.
Kate-Happy anniversary! Ours is July 5th, 12 years(YIKES). Have a good day with pictures and shopping.
Melanie-One more day left and then 3 days off. That will be a much welcome relief! Hope you get lots of rest.
Jen-welcome. We went to Disneyworld 2 weeks ago. Have a really good time, and just make sure you rest and drink enough fluids.
I better get to work.
Hi Candra,Maggie, Susan(let us know about the dr),Jen, Kristan,Stephanie and anyone I missed!

Mikkia, Hope the weekend goes well - maybe you'll be able to catch some extra zzzzzs? Thanks for the Anniversary wishes! Happy A'Day to you too!

We're off for pix now - bbl!

Kate and Mikkia Happy Anniversary!!

Welcome Jen! How far along are you?

Melanie, only one more day:) I hope it goes by fast for you. Is it usually busy right b/f a holiday?

Anne, I will be praying that you make a little baby.

Good morning everyone else.

I have to go workout and then go to a suprise b-day luncheon for my MIL. My Sil is in town from Arizona and planned this party on a Thurs morn. right b/f a holiday and doesn't want us to bring our kids. So I found one friend that doesn't leave for out of town until tonight so she is going to watch the boys. I can't wait for my sil to go back to Arizona she absolutely drives me crazy:7

I will check back later

Candra

Hi everyone!

Ds 13 (almost 14) wants Dh to take him down to the high school parking lot and teach him to drive. I do not think this is a good plan. He can get his learner's permit a year from August (yikes--where did the time go?), so why risk some sort of expensive citation? Not to mention possible insurance issues. I think I've won this one, even if that means laying out behind the car in the driveway}( }( }( .

Kate--Congratulations on 9 years of wedded bliss! That is wonderful. Here's to 90 more:7. Are you doing anything special? Sounds like you have a fun day planned.

Jenmgo--glad to have you join us--the first trimester is no fun and we can all attest to that. I hope you have fun at Disney World with the kiddos.

Melanie--13 hours? Oh boy, that's a long day for anyone. I'm glad you will get a mini holiday this weekend--get lots of rest, you hear?

Mikkia--a five hour drive sounds miserable to me, but then I'm at the stage where I am never really comfortable. You are a good sport. And congratulations on your 12 years of wedded bliss! Are you doing anything special to celebrate?

Candra--sorry about the sil woes. I hate it when family tries to make events that are not kid-friendly and then expect me to come. It's good of you to make the effort to go. I tend to be more of a grump about the whole thing.

Kristan--are you still with us? We are all waiting anxiously (although not as anxiously as you, I'm sure)

Hi Jen! Hi Lisa! Hi Anne! Hi Trish! Hi Stephanie! Hi Susan! Hi Morris!

Candra, SIL sounds like a nut for sure! I've got a goony SIL too, if its any consolation!:) Thanks for the anniv. wishes!

Maggie, I'm with you on waiting to learn to drive - yikes! LOL on laying behind the car! Thanks for the congrats - no plans. My sisters are both working and our parents can't babysit either. We'll have to find a way to celebrate later tongiht!!!}(

Yes, Kristan! Did Stephanie's Barry White work last night?!??!?!

-------------
Our morning was fun. Attorney rescheduled me so we get to stay in this afternoon which is really what I wanted. Looking forward to a productive afternoon!

Hello ladies!
Just popping in for a quick hi to wish you all a great weekend!! DH is on his way home from work, and we're leaving for the in-laws when he gets here and I have LOTS to finish up. I got sidetracked by some frustrating church work this morning. I think I'm going to have to quit doing the newsletter. Long story, but very frustrating. Does adrenaline from being pissed off count as an additional workout?? I also did the upperbody mix of ME this morning, and it felt SO good.

Kate--Happy anniversary!!! Hope you have a very romantic day! :) How did your midwife appointment go?

Jen--Welcome!! Hope you get to feeling better soon! Have fun at Disneyworld!!

Melanie--I'm wishing you a fun filled, energy filled weekend!

Mikkia--Have fun on your trip!

Candra--Have fun with your in-laws today!! I no longer even speak to my SIL, so I totally understand SIL woes!

Maggie--Congrats on winning the driving lesson argument. I totally agree with you!!

---

Well, I've got to go feed the kiddos lunch before we leave. Have a great 4th and weekend!!!

Kate~ Happy Anniversary. Any fun plans?

Mikkia~ Another trip? Wow!!!

Maggie~ how old is your oldest? My 14 year old isn't anywhere near being mature enough to drive!

Stephanie~ Uh um. What workout did you do today? yesterday? We're suppose to be keeping you accountable ya know!

Candra~ DH talks about going to visit his parents. I"m like "Yuk!" I don't want to go on any realtive-visiting trips!!!!

Morris~ Where are you? Don't you like us anymore? ;)

Stephanie, Hope you guys have a great weekend. Try to relax on the drive! got any good magazines or books? Sorry about drama over the newsletter. Maybe it's time to pass it along with the baby coming anyway? As far as romance for our anniversary....well, a girl can dream! Sometimes I joke that I feel like the Virgin Mary, version 2.0!

Melanie, thanks for the ann. wishes. No plans - all of our "babysitters" (aunts and grandparents!) are busy.

-------
Well, I just had the most wonderful hour+ nap! I feel like I slept for hours! So much for a productive afternoon! I still have a little time before I get dinner around.

Anne - Good luck on catching that egg! I'll be anxiously awaiting the 2ww news from you. Yes, we've learned to live with the cost of living here. Groceries are always expensive and you just figure out when to buy and be good about sales and stuff like that.

Kate - Happy Anniversary! Any getaway plans perhaps some time later when babysitting is available?

Hi jenmgo! Welcome and congrats on your pg!

Melanie - I have to check out your salsa dip post! I just saw it!

Maggie - I'm dreading the day my kids want to learn how to drive.

Morris - I hope things are going well for you!

Hi Stephanie! Hi Mikkia! Hi Candra! Hi Jen! Hi everyone else!
I'll probably be MIA for the whole weekend. We have family in town and I have tons of work to catch up on also. I had my ob appt today and everything looks good. I get to do my fun glucose test next appt. at the end of this month. I better watch my carb/sugar intake! I'm planning on doing B&G leg blast tonight. Hope everyone has a nice 4th!

Lisa

Lisa, Glad the ob's went well. I hated the glucose test - my midwife is letting me skip it! Hurray! Have fun w/ leg balst tonight! We're hoping to go out to dinner next week - thanks for asking! Hope the weekend goes drama-free for yoU!

Ugh--it looks like I'm not going to get to work out again today. Dh worked on our bathroom remodel (last years "summer" project, which is only about a third done) and older dc's were washing and cleaning the inside of the cars for some extra money, so there was no one available to watch the little ones. Now dh has taken 5 of the 6 swimming and I can't leave one little one on his own unsupervised, then they all have tae kwon do tonight....maybe because he doesn't have to go to work tomorrow, I'll just workout later than I usually would.....

Dh thinks my fears re/ the driving are irrational....but he will respect my concerns....Hey if we lived out in the middle of nowhere on a farm, I'd really have no problem with it, but in the city? no way.

Kate--we rarely celebrate our anniversery ON our anniversery. Sometimes we farm the kids out and just cook a nice dinner at home, followed by a dvd (dh usually picks something really romantic like "We Were Soldiers" or "Braveheart") and other kinds of celebration after that. }( ;-) }(

Stephanie--hope you have a nice weekend!

Melanie--Ds is almost 14 and I actually think he could learn to drive right now, it's just that it isn't legal and I doubt law enforcement or insurance company would care that his dad thought he was ready. Sometimes I forget that he is only 13, because he is so far from the way I was at 13, or dh for that matter.

Lisa--I hope you have a great weekend with your family.

take care all--

Maggie:)

Maggie, Sorry about the workout! Sounds like things are gtting done around the house tho, so that's rewarding. That's so wonderful that you and DH have such respect for eachother (re the driving). I think we'll be doing the dvd/"other celebrating" tonight after DDs go to bed!

I just did a Leslie Sansone: fast & firm - 4 really big fast miles. It was about what I thought it would be. It'll be good for pregnancy but I doubt I'll use it after I get past the inital post-partum phase. It was super cheap at deepdiscount so I'm not sad I bought it. I got another one I'll try sometime this weekend. It did get my pregnant hr up - not that I was sweating, but it was nice to modify up instead of down!

Hope everyone has a nice night!

Still here! I went to the ob today. I am about 70% effaced and about 1.5 cm. Baby passed the NST no problem. OB offered me a coke and donut to wake her up and it certainly worked. Then I went for acupuncture- the dude said my "pulse points were energized" for labor.

Tonight's dinner was fried chicken, pineapple and a vodka tonic. Yesterday I did Sharon Twombley Athletic Step Jam ball work out. It was the 'squattiest' thing I could thing of. You put a stability ball between your legs and jump around with it. It may not start labor, but my inner thighs certainly got a workout.

Jen- welcome. You're in good company as you progress through your pregnancy.

Anne- you asked about acupuncture. Evidently there are pressure points on your ankles and little toes that stimulate labor. THey put tacks in your ankle and also burn incense on your toes (moxibustion I think?). Anyway, it's a little wacky but I need all the help I can get.

tomorrow we're watching a parade in the morning at my SIL's house. We'll watch fireworks from our roof.

Hi!
Today was the start of a busy weekend...my friend, her DH and two little kids just left. Her son is 4 and SO energetic that he puts my DS to shame! Her little girl is adorable, but devlish in her own little cute way. So, a relaxing evening it was not! But, we all had a lot of fun and laughed a lot. I am just really tired now. Tomorrow, we are leaving for our hometown (an hour away) for 3 parties (2 tomorrow and 1 on Saturday). Whew!!! So, I won't be posting for a few days.
This morning, I did Squeeze, and that felt good. I am starting to get some RL pain (hi Kate), and after doing Kickmax on Tues, the walk around Hershey Park yesterday was dreadful. I saw a pregnant lady in one of those electric wheelchairs, and I was never so jealous of someone in my life!

Happy Anniversary Kate! My DH and I just celebrated our 7th. I wish you and DH many more happy, healthy years of marriage!
I am SO jealous of all these naps you have been getting!

Maggie-I would love to get our bathroom remodeled. We are just saving $ to hire someone to do it b/c I know it will never get done if we do it. I'd love to see pics when it is all finished.

Lisa-Glucose tests are lousy, but they don't take long (thank God). Are you drinking orange stuff or another flavor?

Kristan-Maybe the fireworks will start your labor? I would LOVE a little drink of alcohol. How did your drink go down? I am not a heavy drinker, but I do like an occasional glass of wine or really cold beer.

Welcome, Jenmgo!

Melanie-I hope you enjoy your mini work vacation.

Hello to everyone else!!!
-Jen

Kristan, closer and closer all the time!! I wish someone would feed ME a donut! Lucky girl! Hope all the weekend festivities are fun....if you're not in the hospital!!

Jen, Busy long weekend for you! Sorry about the RL pain - stinks, doesn't it? Not sure I'd use a wheelchair though! Thanks for the ann. wishes! Congrats to you too! The naps ARE pretty wonderful! I find the only way I can get both girls to nap is if I lay doen with them and I inevitably fall asleep too. Shucks!

Dh is headed down to lift weights - I think I'll do Classical Stretch so I stay out of the kitchen!
