TTC Check-In Week of Oct. 21 - CONGRATS MORRIS!!

congrats kristan!!!! i am so happy for you. did you feel nauseous this early last time?

melanie, my little one is 16months, so they will actually be just 2 years apart. i have a very very good chance of having multiples. i took another hcg level this am, and after the dr sees the result, she will decide when to do an early scan. try the double cardio premixes on the new dvds. i too am a cardio junkie and 30 minutes just does not cut it!

anne, glad the sperm count is up!

hi jen, hi lisa, hi autumn.

i had a bad food day yesterday and need to confess. several small pieces of chocolate and 1 protein bar (just a candy bar, really). i have been soooo good lately. but, today is another day. i ran 8 mil this morning on my treadmill as dh is out of town. also did upper body from bm2. it was a nice compliment to the strength work in the new series i think.

melanie, any more thoughts on an elliptical? i'd like to get one as last pregnancy i had to stop running around 21 weeks. i'd love to know if you found a kind you want.

just got my hcg level results and it is fine!! they consider this a good pregnancy, and i am scheduled for a scan on wednesday november 7th. that is when we can see the number of babies i have:eek:  but truly i am excited and feel so blessed. now, who is next?????

CONGRATULATIONS Kristan!!!! Woo Hoo! You're always welcomed here!

Okay sorry for a short post, but gotta get ready for the day. Just wanted to say congrats to Kristan. I did Boot Camp yesterday and really liked it.

Melanie - I previewed Kickbox and didn't do it because it didn't look as high intensity cardiowise as Boot Camp. So far I'm pleasantly surprised with the High Intensity Step and Boot Camp's cardio factor given the limited amount of time. I'll try the other two this weekend.

Morris - Don't feel bad about the eating. I munched on McDonald's fries (can't even remember the last time I ate them) the last TWO days. I ate great other than that, but I couldn't stop myself. Don't know why. Congrats on the HCG levels! I'm excited to hear if it's multiples!!!

Anne - Yay, on DH's SA improving. Good luck this month. I so want you to be pregnant!

Hi Autumn, Jen!

Okay, gotta go.

Lisa

Wow! Congrats Kristan!!! Yes, who is next??? AF is not due for another 2 weeks. And, with DS getting up all through the night (he's going through some strange phase the past 2 weeks), making a baby is not on the top of our list at this very momentx( .

Morris-it sounds like your pregnancy is off to a fantastic start!

Anne-Yes, it does sound like you are on your way to being preg soon. Good luck!!!

I did receive a replacement kickbox/bootcamp DVD, but get this...I lost my original 4-Day Split DVDs. I think they are at my mom's house since that is where I tried them out last weekend. She looked everywhere and cannot find them. I am going to her house next weekend (she lives an hour away), and I will search for them. I e-mailed customer service about losing them since I have to send the defective one back, and they said not to worry, just let them know if I found it after next weekend.

Autumn-I hope your child (I can't remember if your child is a boy or a girl) is feeling better. My DS is 100% better-he was sick last week. Also, thanks again for all the info you had given me! Is it normal for temps to go down in the evening? I thought I'd try to squeeze one more thing out of you.

Hi Lisa and Melanie! I hope I am not forgetting anyone. If I did, I am just tired!

Take care!
-Jen

jen are you ovulating now or pretty close to it? i am sorry dh is having a hard time. men and their stages....;-) hope you find your new dvds.

this morning i did the bootcamp kickbox cardio premix and then added on drill max drills after. i love the new workouts but wish they were individually longer. it is a nice change though. the exercise this am has stemmed my mild nausea, which is great. hopefully i will get in a nap today!

kristan, how are you feeling?

lisa, where are you in your cycle?

melanie, enjoy some time off!

hi anne, hi autumn

anyone have fun plans this weekend? i am hoping to catch up around the house and do some cooking - today i will make chilli in the slow cooker. bbl

Hello.
I did High Intensity Step yesterday & low today. I hate to be a damper, but I just don't think these are going to be my favorite. Way too much strength work, not enough cardio. I will look into the pre-mixes for some cardio only challenges. I AM super sore from the strength training I did do (about 15 minutes of each, it's just too boring for me to endure the whole thing). I found the choreography in high intensity step to be more challenging that past dvd's...I wasn't able to do many of the moves (in past I caught right on).

That's it for now, I"m still in awe over our two pregnancies and the posibilities of multiples. Quite frankly, multiples would scare me right now...as much as I'd like to have four...five would be beyond challenging!

melanie, you are scaring me now;-) i always think of you as someone who can handle anything. i am sure you could manage twins. not sure if I could/can;-)

i completely agree about the new series. i normally like lifting but have found it harder to get into this series weight work. i did them allthru once and will try again this week. do try the cardio premixes that double things up. it is still short of 60 minutes, but better than 30! i like the choreography and find it challenging. is anyone ordering amy bento's new workouts? i am thinking of her high step challenge one.

i did a 10mile run this am and felt pretty great. overall i am feeling good this weekend and eating well. i need to squeeze in some weight work later and some fun outside time with the family.

hope to hear from everyone soon.

Morris,

I would have been up to twins for any other pg, just not my fourth. I think they are awesome! And a true blessing. Number four will be tough for us (especially DH who is a stay at home Dad). We would probably have to hire someone to help us if twins were in our future.
You have just one other one, right? YOU can do it!!!! It'd be great to have three kiddos with just two pregnancies!!! I can't wait to hear the news, either way. My two little ones are 22 months apart and it's a nice age group. They do EVERYTHING together. :) You're going to love it. :D

I do not own any other workouts besides Mindy Mylrea, Janis Saffell, Cathe, Tae Bo, Turbo Jam., The FIRM... I am up to try someone different. Any recommendations? Oh, I have tried Christi Taylor and I didn't care for her super complex choreography. I'd love to hear what you ladies do besides Cathe (who I've been working out with for 6 plus years now!!!
