Hi! I had the day off today (for Rosh Hashanah). Both my DH and I were off since our districts were closed. It was nice to be off, but the day went too fast. Do you ever feel that God is playing a joke on you? I felt like that today when I went to the playground with our son, Andy. There were kids and parents galore, and there were 4 pregnant women. Then, later in the afternoon, my good friend (who wasn't "really" TTC, called to say that she is pregnant. Then, right after that, I went to pick up a pizza I had ordered (by that time I needed it). The lady who waited on me was very pregnant, and when I was driving through the parking lot to go home, I had to stop and let a pregnant woman cross. I mean, come on!!!!!!!!! I have NEVER in my life seen so many pregnant women in one day (and yes, I would have noticed even if I wasn't TTC).
So now after pizza and a trip for some sherbet, I feel better. I did take a run this afternoon while DS was sleeping and DH was home. At least I did that.
Things are a little crazy here with mother-in-law. My DH is close with her, and she's had diabetes since last Feb. She has lost a ton of weight (doc. thought because of diabetes). Anyway, she had been complaining to stomach pain ever since. She went to the ER last Sat because she was in so much pain (stomach and back), and the dr's ran some more tests. They believe it's pancreatic cancer, but not totally sure. It is now almost a week later, and they still don't know what is wrong. It is not in her stomach or colon. they are doing a liver biopsy tomorrow, and then will check the pancreas further. We know the reality of this diagnosis, but are trying to remain as positive as we can until we know exactly what is wrong, and how bad it is. He is close with his whole family, so this is pretty hard. Please keep my DH and mother-in-law in your prayers. Thanks!
