Cathlete
hi guys thought i'
d start a new thread in the spirit of sunday. also wanted to say hello as i was awol yesterday.

i too am a huge grey's anatomy fan. i hate george and izzy together - what are they thinking? i will miss addison too as she brings something extra i think. plus, i don't want a spin off - something else to watch:) and no time.

things are good up here - i am trying to keep an upbveat positive attitude as dh left yesterday for a work trip - due home april 18th. must stay positive for my little one, but i must confess it does get lonely and tiring sometimes. but, no whinning today. we are so fortunate.

mel, hope you are feeling better at this point. i totally empathize with the hormone stuff. it is awful to feel so out of sorts and just have to wait it out. but, looking at the bright side of things is good. vent all you want - sometimes that is all we can do.

lisa, autumn, hope you had a fun weekend - anything exciting? how was the birthday party?

i did stepblast and spj hi lo setion only this am. hope to do a total body workout today or tomorrow, but we will see.

autumn, can you send me the book too? [email protected]. thank you thank you thank you

Hi Morris, Lisa, Autumn, and fellow Lurkers!

I am sooooooo glad last week is done. I have the day off to recuperate, clean the house, and do some internal housecleaning for the family in general. I am not used to working 50hrs in one week, and quite frankly I am so glad I don't have to! Another reason to rejoice and thank our wonderful God for the blessing of being able to work parttime!

My workout week was unimpressive, but I think I should get brownie points for working lots of hours and having my menses!!! ;)

Sun: KPJ
Mon: off
Tue: Turbo Jam CP3
Wed: Turbo Jam CP2 + Ab Jam
Thurs: off
Fri: Imax3
Sat: off

This weeks challenge, if you aren't already doing it: BEGIN TAKING A PRENATAL VITAMIN DAILY

I will continue to try to get 5+ veggies/fruit daily and to eat cleaner.

Morris, hang in there! It must be tough to have DH away. What does he do?

Autumn, thanks for the information. I haven't had a chance to look at the websites yet, but I have some ?s. I'm going to re-read everything and if I still have ?s e-mail you.

Lisa, you're the glue that holds us together...thank you! How was the party?

Lurkers, I know you're out there....we got over 300hits last week! Feel free to join us at anytime. :)

Hello everyone!

Morris, your copy has been emailed. :)

There is so much more information so please email me with questions if necessary. When I teach my clients, we start with an introductory session that lasts approx. 1 hour. This is an overview. Then the real teaching takes place in follow-ups. There are 8 follow-ups over a year (every 2 weeks X4, every month X1, then every 3 monts X3). That is a lot of CM talk. :)

I had a lousy workout week. I am soooo fatigued, but I've been blue and believe that is the reason.

Melanie, you can ask as many questios as necessary.

Lisa, did you cook something delicious for DH's b-day?

Well, I have a stack of Med Term tests staring me down and should get them graded. It is soooo nice today that grading is the last thing I want to do, but the students will freak if the exams aren't returned on time.

Autumn

Hello ladies!

The bday party for dd went well, but I ate really bad. I had cake and ice cream and chips. Oh well today is a new day. It was nice. She got lots of presents and she was very happy. I got my 5 in a day yesterday, but no workout like intended. But I felt like I worked out because I was out and about all day. My knee is killing me right now.

Melanie - Wow, 50hrs. You deserve a break after all that work! I am currently taking my prenatals although I do forget at times. This will be a good reminder.

Morris - I have to get on my workout routine like you. I worked out 4x this week. Today I'm going to do BM2 Boot Camp and walk.

Autumn - Why so blue? Sending lots of happy, good vibes your way!

I hope everyone has a nice Sunday. I think we're going to look at some model homes today. Hoping prices come down so we can buy by the end of this year. We'll see.

TTYL (That's "Talk to you later", Melanie;) )

Lisa

Went for my first jog in 7 months. It felt GREAT. I signed up for a 10K on April 28th. Yeah! Lookout road, here I come with the double baby jogger!!!!

Beautiful weather.

I gained 3-lbs last week with my diet changes that came with AF. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN eating this week!!!!!!

TTFN (Ta Ta for now, I can make up ACRONYMS if Lisa can) ;) :D

hi guys

i had to run on my treadmill this morning - oh how i miss being outside! at least i have one, though, so i am grateful. i am also so grateful finn slept thru the night! usually when dh leaves town my ds decides he should be up all night. good to start a week with a bit of rest.

melanie, where do you use your logger? on the open road or a sidewalk? my dh is a pilot in the navy - takes him away a lot, but it could be worse. must remember to count my blessings frequently and not wallow. no self pity this week, that is my goal.

autumn, hope this week finds you feeling better.

lisa, did you decide if indeed you ovulated last week? if so, you may be conceiving!

hope everyone has a good week, and mel, hope you work much less this week. the idea of 50 hours makes me cringe.

Good morning!

Just a quick note. I live out in the country so my jogs are around the farms and lakes. It's peaceful, but I have to be careful for vehicles! I just bought myself a strollometer as a inspiration for this season. Where do you jog? What type of jogger do you have? Your kids must love it b/c you sure clock in some series running time!

You guys have inspired me to learn more about myself and my body. This month I"m going to try to chart my mucus. I"m pretty excited about it. We'll see how it goes. I've found some neat charts that I can save onto the computer.

This week I work 19 hours. I only work three days. I also have two parties and a shopping trip planned. Ha Ha. So much for relaxation!!!!

Autumn? Yew Hew! How are you doing today? I HATE feeling blue, but occasionally it happens to the best of us. We're here for you.

Lisa, are you charting?

I was hoping to go for a run this AM again b/c the weather is unseasonably warm...but it's foggy. Hopefully around 10 I can go quick!

Have a great day!

Hi Ladies,

My name is Mattea and I am one of the lurkers Melanie pointed to in her earlier post :7 I love reading about what you ladies are going through, your advice, challenges, and successes!

DH and I don't have any kids yet, and are not currently trying to conceive, but we are planning to start trying sometime this year. We have summer plans that involve a beach ball and not ME the size of a beach ball ;-) But after that...:D

I came off of BCP pills last February (2006) and didn't get my period until December, although my doctor and I tried/tested quite a bit. Now my cycle is still a little less than normal and so I try to keep track of things like temp/CM in order to better understand my cycle and prepatory to a more regular cycle and DH and I transitioning to NFP for our birth control method.

I would really appreciate it if, Autumn, you would be willing to send the CM "novel" to my email as well.

Thanks in advance and thanks for letting a lurker in on your valuable experience.

:)
Mattea

Hi Mattea and thank for introducing yourself! NFP is an awesome way to be 'in control' and I"m a control freak!!!!!

How is everyone doing today? It's quiet here!

Went for a 3 mile run today, felt GREAT....so I signed up for 10K next month....I must be CRAZY!!!!

My AF is light and almost gone, YAHOO!!!

TTFN! ;)

Hello ladies!

Mattea - We'd love to hear how your TTC journey is going so feel free to post anytime. I hope you get more "normal" cycles the closer it gets for you to start trying. Good luck.

Morris - I will test on Easter Day if AF doesn't show up sooner.

Melanie - I'm thinking of seriously temping and doing CM charting if I don't get pg this cycle. I'm a control freak too.

Autumn - I hope you're feeling better today. :) :) :) :) being sent your way.

I am so proud of myself for turning my diet around today! Although, like Melanie, I feel like I gained a couple pounds over the weekend, but refuse to step on the scale before I get obssessed. I got my 5 a day in, but still have to take my prenatals. How is everyone else doing with their prenatals? I did BM2 Bootcamp Premix yesterday and loved it. I think I have to just do pilates and some light jog/walking tonight because my knee was really bothering me. It's better today so I'll wait until tomorrow to up my impact. Hope everyone has a great evening. I'm still at work so better get going.

Lisa

Hi Ladies!!!!

Mattea, WELCOME!!!! I will send you the CM information tomorrow evening. I just got in and have to get up early (anything before 10am is early for me :).

Lisa, sending fertility vibes your way.

Morris, I am with you on outdoor fitness activities. I really wish my knees could tolerate running. :(

Melanie, that is awesome that you signed up for the 10K next month.

Thank you all for your support. I am feeling better. I have a touch of Seasonal Affective Disorder, and the spring usually elevates my mood. I was puzzled by the sudden slump, but I realized the 2nd anniversary of my mom's death is approaching. That is the only explanation I can find. Anyway, this week is better... today is better... don't want to get ahead of myself. :)

I need eat and hit the hay. I am exhausted from talking about CM for 5 1/2 hours this evening. ;)

Autumn

hi everyone

autumn, so sorry to hear of your mom. sometimes those anniversaries sneak up. hope each day is a bit brighter.

mattea, welcome, and i hope your journey goes smoothly. i love being a mom, and my first pregnancy was such fun.

lisa, i hope you have success this time, though i'll miss you on this forum:) can you explain the temp charting thing?

melanie, a 10k will be great fun. i am going to train for a half marathon once dh returns, but truthfully, i don't like races - i like running alone with my dog. but i haven't run that far in a while, so the challenge will be good. i use my jogger for short runs with my little guy. i do my longer runs (8 or 9mil) too early for ds. no great sidewalks up here either, so i run in the road. there is a 3.5 mile sandy track loop around the water though, and once it is not knee deep mud, i will take my little one.

hope everyone is well, and please wish me luck with my clean eating plan. always harder for me with dh gone as i don't always sit down for regular meals.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone:)

I would say that I look forward to eventually checking in with you everyday, but by the time DH and I start TTC I hope that each of you has been blessed with a positive HPT :7 However, I will say that I look forward to continued lurking and the day when you announce your happy news. In the meantime, I'm also a runner and plan to continue for the rest of my life, so Melanie and Morris, you two are great inspiration.

Autumn-Whenever you have a little extra time I'll look for your email, I'm like Melanie, control freak! and love the idea of knowing the most about what's going on with my body. I'm pretty sure I ovulated this weekend so that puts me on a pretty "normal" track for this cycle.

Thanks again!
Mattea

Morris - You can go to fertilityfriend.com and they have a really extensive tutorial explaining how your basal body temp. can let you know when you're ovulating and if you got pg or should be expecting AF. It also explains the whole CM thing too. I'm not feeling any symptoms so I don't know if this is it. I'll still post even if I do get pg because I'll sure miss you guys, unless I get kicked out!

Autumn - So sorry about your mom. I hope today was a better day as well. Are you doing any kind of charting or are you just not preventing? Were you the one that homeschooled? Sorry my brain is a little fried from work stress.

Melanie - Good luck on your 10K. I almost did one last month, but ended up having to work. I used to run a lot when I was in my twenties, but my knee will act up if I over do it so I have to take it easy. I do try to jog every now and then, but I have to watch because I live in the mountains so lots of hills. Living in the country sounds so nice. DH and I sometimes dream about that.

No pg symptoms for me going. I had lower back pain and bloating, but those are typical PMS symtoms for me. I don't know if I'm going to work out tonight or not. I should give my knee another day of rest so I'll probably do some upper body workout. P90X shoulders and arms sound good.

Hope everyone has a good night!

Lisa

Mattea, the CM info has been sent. It is a bit different than what you may find in other resources, and IMO simplifies observing CM. It really isn't that much info.

Thank you all for the kind words. I am much better. It passed but more grief bursts are expected between now and the anniversary.

I want to write more but it will have to wait...

Autumn

Lisa, I'm sorry that you're PMSing. I found it hard to distinguish b/w PMS and pregnancy...the early stages are so similiar...if I had symptoms and no bleeding....then I begin to wonder. ;) The hills/mountains sound beautiful. Where do you live?

Autumn, it's hard to believe it's been two years already. I cannot imagine the pain that you're going through. I will remember you in our prayers. ;) I believe I also have a touch of SADD, it usually doesn't bother me unless the sun doesn't peak at all for 72hrs or so...combined with situational issues it can certainly be triggered though!

Morris, so you go on your runs solo? Wow. I cannot imagine! I'm lucky to do my RACES without the stroller! Since DH is a stay-at-home Dad...when I am home he doesn't like to look after the boys (he needs well deserved breaks). The boys are pretty much attatched to me 24/7 when I'm not at work. ;) When they're not attatched to me I pretty much feel lost!!

Minnesota weather hasn't cooperated past two days for a run, so today I did some kickboxing. Yeah! Loved it. I'm still not eating as clean as I should, but I have drastically cut back on MD. Maybe tomorrow I'll go an entire day without one? I'm tryting to increase my water intake simultaneously.

We will have to do a re-cap next week, b/c I forget where all you ladies live and such.

hi everyone

had to write back, mel, about my runs. i wish my little guy was with me sometimes, but i am done by 6am before he even gets up. i am a morning person and get out early. that being said, my ds has been teething i think, and the last 2 nights has been up between 12 and 4am - no sleeping. i am completely fried today. yesterday i didn't work at all, so i slept in (for me) until 6:30 am and did kpc during a nap leter that day. today is my long work day, so i dragged myself out of bed at 5 and managed my run on my treadmill, mainly b/c my scale is not budging, and i'd feel worse if i didn't. i just hope this tooth comes thru soon.

on saturday, here in maine it is supposed to be a balmy 45 degrees, and i plan to take the jogger out.

hello gals!

Okay, I live in Hawaii so I have the opposite problems from you guys. It was so stinking hot yesterday, I was miserable. That's a lot of reasons besides my knee why I stopped running outdoors also. I'm trying to keep my skin young looking and not so damaged by the sun. hehe. Anyway, I did Cardio Fusion with the a/c on, but it was still hot as heck yesterday. All this talk of running makes me really miss it. I think I might start back once a week lightly and see how my knee reacts. I've been okay with my eating this week. Still no AF, but I have another week to go.

Autumn - Sending lots of happy vibes your way. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Morris - Hope the teething passes soon. I remember those days.

Melanie - How's the MD going today?

Better get back to work! Today is P90X day - shoulders and arms; didn't get to it the other night.

Lisa

Hi Ladies:)

I just wanted to say a great big THANK YOU!!! to Autumn for the CM material. It is very helpful, and I'm sure I'll have questions after I read through it several times and start charting for real.

Also, Melanie, Morris, Lisa, Autumn you are so inspirational and keep up the good work:7

Mattea

I had one MD today, but I"m grumpy and would like to have another one. ;) There's way too much drama going on at the workplace recently...I feel like I"m in High School again...I suppose the 'perks' of living/working in a small town.
