Morris - I'm so glad you're feeling better and over the flu. I hate having the flu. Yes, guys are bigger babies when sick. To answer your qx about the GS workouts, I only have the BSB and I like that one. I'm still waiting for CT. I enjoy PUB a lot more though because I do feel a greater burn the next day with PUB. Good job with the eating and wow, doing IMAX3 in the midst of the flu! You go girl! Maybe your dr can give you provera? or those hormone pills to get your af started.

Anne - My DH had a grand prix prior to his car now. Yay, for ovulating again! Hope the next cycle will be your month for another BFP!

Hi Melanie, Jen, and Autumn! Worked out 4x this week. I acutally hit the gym yesterday and will be taking a pilates class on Thursday. Eating was okay. I really need to get over the sweets though. Esp. chocolate. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. My nose is in my Harry Potter book. I should have reread the last two books though. Anyway, I'm hoping to finish by tonight. What is everyone else up to?

Lisa

Good Morning Girls,

Lisa-My DH went out to Wal-Mart on Saturday night to buy the Harry Potter book. And, he's been reading it ever since. He is almost done, though. I never read past the 2nd one, so I went back to the first book to read the whole series. I have been watching the movies, but the books have SO much more detail, so that's why I am reading them. I just have to block my ears to all of the talk about the latest book.

I just started a new P90X rotation on Friday. I am going to substitute Cathe cardio workouts for P90X cardio because the P90X cardio workouts aren't my favorite. I am very sore from Chest and Back! According to this online ovulation calendar, I am supposed to be fertile now, so my DH are ready to try again. I hope this month is the month!

Have a wonderful week. I look forward to hearing from you.

hi everyone - happy monday

lisa, that is great you went to the gym. i am not sure when/if i will ever get back there. i love pub too, but the gym styles are great i think for variety. what should our eating challenge be this week?

hi jen - good luck with this cycle. hope things work out for you.

melanie, how many more days?

how are you anne? autumn?

dh leaves on wednesday for a 10 day trip. of course after the last debacle (21 days instead of 5), i will believe it when it happens. i am toally back to normal now and went on a great run this morning. thanksfully, ds avoided the illness - he is tough!

take care everyone.

Hi all,
Sorry, I've been away. Found out today that the last test that we took, the Chromosome test, didn't come back so good for me. DH has all 46 XY chromosomes and I have all 46 XX chromosomes. The problem is that 2 of my chromosomes break on the ends and then switch and reattach wrong. All of the genetic material is still all there, so that's good. It's all complicated and I need to see them tomorrow to get more information. That's all they told me over the phone. I have what they called a 'Balanced Translocation'. So, I think that means we have more of a chance of having a baby with problems and thus the reason for the miscarriages.

I think we need to find out more about which chromosomes are affected. I have read that a lot of couples can still have normal children regardless of this problem. It definitely explains the recurrent m/c though.

Will fill you in more after tomorrow's appt. x(

Hope everyone is well.

Anne

Hi friends!

Anne, it's exciting to find out news about how our body's work individually. Hopefully, once you find out all the details you and your husband can make some decision for your future family! I'll be praying that you have the wisdom, strength, and peace you need for all your information. ;)

SIX more days. Everything is falling together nicely. I don't know how much weight I've gained (scale is packed) but my clothes are super tight. I ran today 4 miles, and I will try to do a short Turbo Jam tonight yet if I have enough energy. I HAVE to begin to eat better and cut loose of those darn Mountian Dews. :)

Anne - Wow, sounds so complicated. I'm glad that you and DH can still have a healthy baby regardless. Did you go in for genetic counseling? I'm still hoping and praying for you that you get pregnant soon with a healthy baby. Anything is possible.

Morris - I am blowing it with the sweets. Maybe we should do a whole grain/low sugar/low processed food challenge? I know I need it. It's like I do well all day and then at night, my body is dying for sugar. And of course I cave. I ate some ice cream last night.

Jen - Yes, the Harry Potter books are way better than the movie. It explains so much more than the movie ever can. I finished my book on Sunday afternoon. I'm rereading the Order of the Phoenix right now because there were some things I forgot and they refer a lot to the other books in the last one. Good luck with catching that egg this month!

Melanie - Yay, for the 4 mile run. I'm glad everything is working out great with the move.

Autumn - If you're still reading, hello and come back and post one day!

I bought the SELF magazine a couple weeks ago and there was a workout routine in there from Gabrielle Reece and I tried it yesterday and it kicked my butt. It's really short (25-30 minutes), but you do that and a 30-min cardio of your choice to complete the workout. I did the routine and pilates instead since I did cardio two days in a row prior. I was quite surprised at how much harder it was than I expected. I love variety so sometimes I buy SHAPE and SELF when I see some decent workouts in there. Anyway, still waiting for my GS CT to come in. I have 7 more days until I can test to see if I'm pg. Hopefully it goes by quickly.

Lisa

anne, sounds like you are getting good info. keep us posted.

melanie, great job with the run with everything going on. your life will be infinately more calm soon, i know.

jen, i love harry potter too. dh and i saw the new movie last night, the best yet, imo. books are still better though.

lisa, i did ct gym styles today, and it was tough! what is the self workout like that you did? can i find it online? i blew the clean eating today too. daytime is more my issue than night. i start a meal, and the meal just keeps going - i eat as i do other things around the house, which is awful. we celebrated my b-day (friday) early as dh is going away tomorrow. he got me my favorite ice cream sandwiches, plus, i had some processed granola bars. lets try for whole grain low sugar tomorrow, okay?

Hi all,
Well, got back from the genetic specialist today. Looks like my #2 and #19 chromosomes are the one's causing my problems. The good (bad) news is that we have a little less than 1% chance of having a baby (carrying it to full term) with developmental or other problems due to my chromosomal issue. This is because if there is a problem with these chromosomes, it usually always will end in a miscarriage.

The bad (bad) news is that it's about a 50% chance now that I have of miscarrying each time. My eggs already have this abnormality in them, so it's all up to chance as to if we'll get a normal egg or one with this abnormality in it. So, since we can't afford IVF, we'll just be trying to do it naturally and pray for the best when we do get pregnant. She basically she said, it just depends on how many miscarriages one can handle mentally and physically. That's all we can do for now. Hoping the next time the egg is a good one.

Lisa - fingers crossed for you for this next week of testing!

Anne

Hi Again,
Anne-I read all of the information you have shared this week (thanks for sharing). Positive thinking goes a long way, and you have an awesome attitude-keep it up! I will keep you in my prayers.

Melanie-I did catch a peek at your new house on an old post, and WOW! Good luck on the move. Are you moving close to where you are now, or far?

Lisa-Good luck on the test. Those will be 7 long days.

Morris-I struggle every single day to eat clean. At least I have been following the 1st week of P90X, substituting Cathe cardio for P90X cardio.

-Jen

Anne! Cyber hugs coming your way {hugs} {hugs}. How are you guys handling everything?

FIVE more days. Packed up the little boys room today. We just have our bed/dresser, appliances, garage, and office left. My computer desk won't make it out of the house. It's been moved too many times. :( I'll have to get a new one for my computer. Drats!

Ran today, the heat index in Minesota is outrageous this week...difficult to breathe, let alone run. I attempted a 4 mile run, but walked at least 1.5 miles. I did Turbo Jam Cardio Party 1 this afternoon. My 3 year old was super naughty. His naughtiest day every. Urgh! We're going to the zoo tomorrow for a fun day, I'm sure the kiddos can sense the tension in the home.

Morris - Happy B-lated Birthday! Birthdays are a good excuse to have fun eating and also with DH leaving. I don't know if I will be able to do all the pushups in GS CT esp. not on my toes. You can actually find that SELF workout on the website.

www.self.com/fitness/workouts/video/2007/06/0626_6dayslim_video

Let's hope that takes you there. If not, go to self.com and click on fitness videos and click on the 6 day slim video with Gabrielle Reese on the pic. It looked mild, but when I started doing it, I was like whoa...harder than I thought. Different from Cathe, but nice for variety. Don't expect Cathe hard, but good burn to accompany a cardio workout. Tomorrow sounds like a good day since I didn't do too well today either. Took the kids to see Harry Potter and I ate movie junk food. Blah.

Jen - You're more than welcome to come on board on the clean eating challenge with us. Eating is my weakness also. I love working out, but I also love eating.

Anne - I'm so sorry to hear about your 50/50 chances of miscarrying. ((((HUGS))). I'll be praying for you guys that the next egg DH catches is a good one.

Melanie - It's been hot here, but not muggy so it's been tolerable. Maybe your 3 year old is sensing big change and acting out his insecurities? Have fun at the zoo.

Alright, I am obviously on vacation and stuck to this laptop when I'm at home. Better get my kids in the bath since they both had practice today. DS is in flag football and DD is doing cheerleading. I'm quite surprised at the conditioning the cheerleaders do - it's good though. Have a great night ladies!

Lisa

anne, you are in my thoughts. i hope you find continued strength. i too will be saying prayers for you.

jen, join us with the clean eating challenge. it is a continual battle as evidenced by my day todayx(

melanie, i hate running in the heat. we don't get much of it though. good job with the workouts.

lisa, moment of truth - after i took dh to the airport i had a slice of peanut butter pie (threw away the rest). Also had 1 small cookie today and an ice cream sandwich:-( tomorrow will be better i hope. how was your day?

Morris - So far so good today, but like I said earlier, the daytime is okay for me esp. like today when I'm at work, but it's when I get home at night. Not only did I eat crap at the movies (half a hot dog, popcorn, m&ms, and soda, not even diet), but I managed to steal a few spoonfuls of ice cream from my kids yesterday. So hopefully I'll control myself when I get home. I'm still trying to figure out dinner. At least you threw out the pie and the temptation is gone. Sweets are definitely my weakness.

Lisa

well lisa, how was your night? my thursday is wrapping up and wasn't too bad. small bit of dark chocolate, but no mindless junk otherwise. i think my portions were okay - maybe a bit much, but i hate being hungry. i am also a bit sore from gym style legs.

how is everyone's week going?

Morris - Last night ended up being good only because a friend of mine had an emergency and I didn't get home until 11pm so I was away from all food. I got my GS CT yesterday and did it today. That was pretty tough. Tougher than BSB to me. Maybe because my tris are so weak. So far so good today except for some graham crackers I ate. I resisted the ice cream even though it was calling my name. I'm like you, I hate being hungry or having that empty, growling stomach.

Hello Anne, Melanie, Jen!

Lisa

TWO MORE DAYS!!!! I'm so excited! We're living out of suitcases now, and we have one chair in the living room. Can't wait to get to the new place to get busy unpacking!!

Yesterday I ran into some trouble with my mortgage loan for the new house. At 8am I got a phone call saying they couldn't do it b/c underwriting wouldn't accept the apprasial b/c "comparable" housing used in appraisal was too far from our new home. Duh. Our new home is almost in Canada, there aren't any homes near by! Duh. Anyway, I spent at least 6hrs on the phone working things out for our MONDAY closing (thinking what are we going to do, I have to start my new job, I have no work here, we don't have our beds or dishes,...). Anyway, it all worked out. Now I need a total for our downpayment before the end of banking day so I can run to town and get it. Technicalities!!!

I had a sitter scheduled to come out yesterday to watch kiddos for 2 hrs while I pack. INSTEAD, I went for a nice long run (in the rain) by myself to clear my head. It felt WONDERFUL!! I showered and packed up 6 boxes and felt very productive.

Okay, all you clean eating inspirational women. I'm going to be counting on you to get me through this MD addiction when after I'm unpacked. My goal is to NEVER drink a MD at my new job. My new coworkers are to never know of my addiction, and my past. ;) Our little secret.

Lisa, are we close to when we normally get our menses? I don't keep track (urgh) and I"m beginning to feel PMS-like...

ohhhhhh pms and moving??? not fair!!! melanie, YOU inspire ME. all the hassle of moving, still running, and you are EXCITED to unpack. i think i'd run away and hide.... i hope thigns go well with thebank and those details today. and yes, join our clean eating challenge next week. we all need motivational help, right lisa;)

so yesterday ended up good for me, but today my coworkers brought my favorite in for my b-day (31:(() - apple crisp. do i get to have a small piece? i know there won't be leftovers as everyone at work devours what ever treat there is.

my weekend is stressing me out a bit. i have an all day conference sunday and have a sitter coming b/c dh is out of town. then, i work all day monday instead of a partday b/c my boss is gone. i know i will feel guilty and too busy. ds is kind of sad b/c "dada" is out of town. i wish i had the whole weekend free for him, but there is nothing i can do. sometimes that just happens i guess.

lisa, i have a hard time with the tricep work in ct too i guess my triceps are just weaker. i love the work out, though. do you have gym style legs too?

Confession time - I blew it last night and had ice cream with chocolate syrup and whip cream, as if ice cream itself wasn't bad enough. Okay, on to a new day.

Morris - Have one little piece and enjoy what your coworkers' got you. Then just eat clean the rest of the day. (I should really take my own advice). No GS Legs although I'm thinking of getting that next after the new workouts get here.

Melanie - Your MD secret is safe with us.;-) Glad everything worked out with the mortgage. You have such a great attitude! AF should be due in 4 days.

Okay, better get going. Long day ahead of me with lots of errands to run. I'll check back later to let you guys know how I did with my eating today. Hopefully there will be no junk!!! I think I have yet to get through one day without junk.

Lisa

what a terribly stressful day!! ever have those days where your mind never stops, then when you can stop, it literally keeps spinning? anyways, all is well that ends well. i did not have a little piece of my birthday cake, i had a huge piece. but, that is just the way it went, and the rest of the day wasn't too bad. like lisa says, onto the next day:) so, melanie has pms, what about you lisa? do you think you may be pregnant?

autumn, jen, anne, how have your weeks gone?

i am going to bed early with my harry potter book - i am 2/3 way thru. i hope to go for a run outside with the jogger tomorrow if the weather cooperates. also hope to not have junk tomorrow. we will see.

Happy Birthday Morris! 21 this year? ;)

Not that I"m thinking it's anything else, but my 1st symptoms of pg are the same as PMS...but my period never comes. :) I'm just hoping AF holds off until the closing of my new home b/c all my tampons and pads are packed. :D
