TTC Check-In April 29th

Good evening ladies! Since no one else has posted, I thought...what the heck, it might as well be me!

I had a really hard work week (and it was a short one), after 5 days off I have to face my co-workers tomorrow morning...wish me luck, it will be akward to say the least.

My CM has been thick but no slippery clear stuff. No period yet, but I've had two negative pg tests...so I'm probably not ovulating regularly yet postbaby and still nursing baby Jadon. He's getting older, and will even "ask" to be nursed in public...so I will begin to wean him to bedtime/early morning only.

My 10K went well, I don't know my offical time but suspect it was between 50-55 minutes which is good enough for an early season run. The check in time was 730, but the race itself was 930 which was irritating since I hired a babysitter and had the little ones. It was a tough run, but I'm glad I did it. I was unable to stick around for awards b/c my sitter was late for work. :(

Sun: 6 mi Run
Mon: off
Tue: 4 mi Run
Wed: 5 mi Run
Thurs: 4 mi Run
Fri: off
Sat: 10K!

Lisa, how did your run go? Have your party favors arrived yet?

Heather, are you still with us?

Anne, are you still waiting to take that pg test?

Autumn, how are things going? Are your emotions beginning to stabilize after your rough month? You have me so intrigued about your 'product' you're promoting. So mysterious! :D :D

Morris, how's your little one doing? Did you manage to keep your electricity going all week? Are you recuperated from your "vacation"?!?

Have a nice week ladies! I look forward to hearing from you during the week. :)

Good evening ladies!

Melanie, thanks for starting the new thread. I was having a slow start today. Sounds like you did awesome on your 10K. Wow, you're a fast runner. I think it took me closer to 90min to finish the 10K. I know that while breastfeeding cycles can be a little whacky. As you start to wean, you'll notice it'll get more and more regular. At least it did for me. I didn't put in my order yet, but I am going to this week. Hopefully it'll help with the babymaking process. ;)

Anne - I'm crossing my fingers that your temp stays up tomorrow morning! OOOOH can't wait! I'm stalking your chart! LOL!

Autumn - You've gotten me curious about this "product" also. I have so many friends who do these business ventures that it makes me curious to what you're doing! Hope it's successful! BTW, thanks for the email. I got it. It was really helpful.

Morris - Have you been able to unwind from your vacation? How did the wedding go? I hope your electricity stays on this week!

I only worked out 3x last week, again. I was planning to do 4-5/week, but my back was in a lot of pain on Thurs and Friday. I did work out today and did Drill Max, but my knee is starting to hurt again. I feel like such an old lady! I ate okay. I've been cutting out a lot of white carbs which has been really great. But I ate some french fries tonight, but tomorrow is a new day. I'm going to go for a jog/walk tomorrow and do some strength training. I think I'll do some light weights and pilates. I'm on CD27 and no signs of AF yet. I'll test on Friday if AF doesn't show up before then.

Have a great week ladies and can't wait to hear from all of you!

Lisa

hi everyone

lisa, my fingers are crossed for you -- maybe this will be your week!
anne, how are things going on your front?
autumn, i missed whatever you said about a product? what is the scoop?
melanie, fantastic on the 10k! you managed a lot of running last week with a bad work week and all. i hope your monday goes okay. coworkers can be such a nightmare.

i ran outside with my dog this morning and it was fantastic!!! i missed her during vacation:)i am slowly recovering, fromt the power outage, my trip, and dh coming home. sometimes that is my hardest adjustment. it takes a bit to settle back into coparenting instead of just me doing everything. weekend was a bit rocky. i hope this day is better.
sun - 7mil run
mon - 6mil run and abs
tues - 7mil run
weds - 7mil run and abs
thurs - 7mil run
fri bm2 scrambled eggs and upper body
sat - kpc and bootcamp cardio only (no warmup)

happy monday, and i hope everyone's week starts well

Hello Ladies!!

Melanie, cyber high-fives on your race. I need a high-five smilie.
I read about your work situation and wish I had some advice to offer. Your co-workers invaded your privacy, so they should be ashamed (though this may not be true). Let us know how it goes.

Lisa, I'll keep my fingers crossed that AF doesn't show.

Morris, I know what you mean about adjusting when DH returns after business. My DH is only gone on short business trips, so I can imagine your adjustment process. I found a product I love and am promoting/selling/sharing it. The best part is I am having a blast. I have connected with a fantastic group of like-minded people (difficult to find in my mid-western rural town). I don't care if my business thrives, it is so awesome being involved with this group. I know, I am crazy. :)

Well, I did three days last week and as you can imagine the end week just wasn't productive. Last week:
Sun - Spinervals & Leaner Legs (I love LL)
Mon - MM upper body only premix + abs
Tue - Spinervals
Wed - Rest
Thu - Rest
Fri - Rest
Sat - Nuttin'

I forgot to answer the question about spinervals... yes, it is spinning intervals. http://www.spinervals.com/

My emotions... well, I am post-Peak and think I need my progesterone. :) Today does seem much better.

Until next time...
Autumn

Lisa - Your chart looks really good! When are you due to test? Temps are still up there, excellent!

Melanie - Nice job on the 10K. When I was able to do those, I was around that time too. It's a good feeling to know you can still run when we're old.

Morris - How was the vacation?

Autumn - So what is this product we're all hearing about?

Well, I'm expecting AF Thursday and have tested a couple of times getting BFN. Was really psyched since I had a triphasic chart up until today (huge temp drop), so I'm bummed, but life goes on. On to the next cycle.

Chat later,
Anne

"It's a good feeling to know you can still run when we're old" ... Are there old people on this forum? I hadn't noticed.... ;)

Good evening ladies! I don't have much time to post because you know that HEROES is coming on! No workout tonight because I'm tired, yes tired. Good reason. And I can't miss HEROES or The Bachelor. Brain food. :p

Anne - I'm still hoping for you that a temp rise will happen tomorrow!

Autumn - I'm glad you're enjoying your new venture!

Morris - I hope life with DH is getting better. I know what you mean though. It's readjusting all over again.

Melanie - I hope work wasn't too horrible for you.

I'll check back tomorrow! Good night!

Lisa

Sorry, speaking for myself when I was talking about being 'old' or at least feeling like it sometimes! x(

Anne

Anne, I was totally just kidding. I suspect we're all in our 30s? Or close to it? Hee Hee.

I believe you are right Melanie. I see my 40's in the not so distant future. ;) Hey, how did work go?

I have worked out 3 days... woo hoo!!!!!!

I'd write more but I am tired ladies!

C-ya tomorrow.

No workout tonight again. We all went to Costco which now I figured out why it's better to go alone and ended up taking over an hour just to get out of there. Not to mention we spent over $200 on God know's what. Anyway, I'm going to just get ready for bed and try again tomrrow.

Yay Autumn for 3 days! You go girl!

BTW, 30's is much better than 20's to me. Although, I miss my metabolism at times. x(

Good night ladies!

Lisa

i don't know about you all, but i am 18:) just kidding. 30's are just fine to me, definately better than 20's, though i could stand to just hover at 29.

beautiful day here today and ds and i went for a lovely run outside. it feels so good!!!

lisa, good for you for getting the costco trip done. i tried doing errands yesterday and failed miserably. i got the grocery store half done which is only half useful!

mel, how is your week going?

take care everyone.

Oh, I wouldn't want to go back to my early 20s or teens. My late 20s weren't bad though. :)

It is gloomy here today. We need the rain and cooler temps. It was in the 90s the other day.

I am giong to go watch Barney. Woo hoo!

I'll bet I'm the 'old lady' of the group at 37! Knees make me feel like I'm 80 though sometimes. Could only get out and walk today. Felt good to be in the warm weather!

Hoping to get back to eating clean next week and back into workouts. I was doing p90X for 2 months. I'm thinking that might have had something to do with my knees flaring up. Great workouts, but too much high impact. Silly me, you'd think I'd learn by now. I hate arthritis!

Anne

I definitely wouldn't do teen years ever either Autumn. I agree that late twenties were pretty good. Anne, I'm going to be 34 this year. I think Melanie also (sorry for giving out the age ) and I think Morris is the baby at 30? Or early, early 30's right? Autumn, I don't remember your exact age either.

I'm eating okay. I am going to workout tonight though. Yes I am. Not sure what, but something. I've been slacking.

BTW, I started spotting today. So anyday now I should be seeing AF. :-(

Better get to the workout!

Lisa

lisa, sorry about the spotting - but there is always next month, right? it is so frustrating. i keep imagining i am having pms. ds dropped another feeding and i keep thinking things might startup, especailly whwen i get bloated, cranky, and tired.

i am in a daycare crisis of sorts and very stressed today. management changed and all caregivers are jumping ship. ds is starting in a new center sept 1st, but i am not sure we can stay in the current place until then. i am so darn scared for all the changes for my guy and concerned things will not be safe. please say a prayer for us today that things either get batter or i am able to find an alternative for the next 4 months.

i did imax 3 this am and it really pumped me for my day. perhaps not the best idea when i am alread running on nervous energy??

take care

morris - I'll definitely say a prayer for you that everything will work out. Childcare can be a really stressful thing.

My temp dropped again this morning so I'm just waiting for AF to come full force. Eugh..

I worked out last night though. Did LIC cardio premix and my triceps and abs. My eating is going bad...I usually do around that time of month. I ate chips and I don't even like chips, but I did. Then ate some dark chocolate m&ms and cookies! Yikes!

Let's hope for a better day today. How are the rest of you women doing?

Lisa

Lisa, I'm sorry about your spotting. :( Could be implantation bleeding. ;)

Morris, daycare crisis sounds awful! I also will pray for you that you find a spot that will be PERFECT for you...and that will follow your baby through school!

My diet has been horrible (no MDs though)!
I think Monday I'll turn over a new leaf and work on clean eating again. I did drop 5-lbs with all the work drama...but it's back again. ;)

I've been continuting my runs, with one Turbo Jam. Just ordered a new pair of Asics. I found out I placed 3rd on my 10K at under 52 minutes. I'm super pleased with my time as I only ran about 6 times to train for it. ;) It was actually 1 minute quicker than my best time last July...the only thing is I'm so competitive and I force myself to do better each time. Urgh!

Anyone have plans for this weekend?

~Melanie~

Melanie - That's so excellent you placed 3rd at 52 minutes! I can't imagine what your time would be if you actually trained! Wow, I'm such a slug comapred to you women! I think I ran that fast last when I was in high school!!

So I finally got my period today. On to the next month.

We're going over to DH's cousins house tonight where all his cousin's and their families are going to be. I'm looking forward to it. My poor DS is one of two boys among all the girl cousins and the other boy is only two, but he's a good sport about playing with the girls. Although I know he wishes his other boy cousin who lives in California was there.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lisa

Anne, I am close to your age... 36. I'll be 37 in October.

Morris, sorry about your daycare crisis.

Lisa, I'll keep my fingers crossed for next month. have fun at DH's cousin's house.

Melanie, you are awesome!!! 3rd place!! I am impressed.

I need to workout today to give me 5 workouts this week. I believe I am going back to the Slim Series. I have awesome results with it.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Autumn
