Morning Yogini's -

This morning I did Brain Muscle with Michael-Gonzaelez Wallace Levels 3-4 back to back and then I did Lotte Berk Blast Essentials 10". I then did the stretch from Fitness Fix. Total workout before the added on stretch and Lotte Berk Blast was 70" and I burned 330 calories. Forced myself not to do any extra cardio today, as I'm supposed to be trying to cut back on it for a while to shock my body. I also did Ravi & Ana's Fat Free Yoga - Total Body Tune Up - Warm Up and Open Up segment 30".

I have to go apply for a job I saw online yesterday. It's a receptionist job at a Retirement/Assisted Living Community in the Subburbs. Had to get all dressed up just to go hand over my resume!!

Jen - I called my family doctor yesterday and he gave me an antibiotic to take. He called in a weird one so I hope he knows what he's doing. I never trust doctors (have worked for too many of them). I don't usually get sick....and I haven't been this sick for as long as I can remember, so I'm not sure about the chest burning, as I've only had asthma for about the last 10 years. My new Ravi & Ana's shipped the other day. Should have them soon. I'll let you know how they are. Back to this employment stuff. Question - when at an interview and they ask you what year you graduated from high school, college, etc. -- do you have to answer them? I hate that they do that cuz then they discrminate against me cuz of age. I just wondered how to get around this.

Kel - I hope you're feeling better today. My foot is still bad. I have to call the doctor later today, as he said to call if it wasn't better today.
Have a great day ladies.

Hi ladies.

Still not workouts to report & I'm still feeling quite foul. I just can't stand the way not working out affects me psychologically but I know this is the right thing to do too so I guess I just need to deal with it. I'm planning to get up & do some yoga, stretching, pilates, &/or meditation tomorrow & Friday morning, though, so hopefully that will help lift my mood. Then, I hope to at least get on the treadmill next week, if not work lower body. I'm still not hopeful about working my left arm yet so at this point, I plan to abstain until it's all the way better. I'm also having lunch with a close friend who is moving several hours away next month. I'm going to miss her & it makes me sad that she's moving but at the same time, I'm really happy for her too. Plus, she's moving to the beach so I'll get to visit her there so that's pretty cool!

Lora - I read your late post y-day & I'm sorry that interview went the way it did. I'm really surprised they asked when you graduated high school & although I don't know anything about HR, I don't think it's an appropriate interview question... & I might not have answered it. But based on your description of the interviewer & other ladies at the store, I'm not so sure you'd want to work there anyway because they all sound a little snotty. I guess just keep buying their cool clothes but maybe be glad you don't have to work with them. I think the job you're dropping your resume off for today sounds like a good one so I hope you have luck with it. Sorry your foot is still hurting... believe me, I can relate... but I hope the antibiotics your doctor prescribed kick this cold you've got so you can enjoy your trip to Vegas!

Jen - Sorry you're so darn busy at work & I hope it calms down soon. I'm also sorry you weren't able to fit in a workout yesterday & I hope you can fit one in today because I know how bad it makes you feel to miss one. Thank you for all your kind words about what I'm going through right now. I haven't been to the doctor about my arm but I guess I should have been more descriptive about it. It's not feeling MUCH better but it is feeling SOME better. So although I'm really not doing anything to treat it, other than just taking it easy, I think it's improving very slowly. I guess it's just going to take some time. Like you said, it is a temporary setback & I know I'll be back at it in no time. I also realize that there are a lot worse things going on out there too so I just need to stop & keep things in perspective, don't I?

Well, I guess I should get back to work so I'll wish you ladies a good day & I hope to see you later!

Just real quick pop in.....gotta get over Mom's .....just got back from the foot doctor....and I have another stress fracture. It's the metatarsal right next to the previous one that was fractured. He said it's common for some people to get them in the bone next to the previous break cuz after it heals the bone bows out a little making the next joint unstable. I'm in a boot and not allowed to do anything! I already tried the bike and ellipitcal with my boot on and even tried stepping and rebounding. This sucks and I'm going to be walking in Vegas in 2 weeks!!

I'll be back later today. I've got to get out the door.

Hi ladies! Got home later than usual again but managed to fit in S&H Chest and Back. Brought some work home with me, so I will have to be quick tonight.

Lora-You're in a boot! x( Ugh! I can't believe you got on your exercise equipment with it. You are a true Maniac through and through! I am glad you followed your instincts and went to the doc to have it checked out-you knew something didn't feel right about it. You do not have to answer the high school question. It is inappropriate for an interviewer to ask, but if you really want the job somewhere, you probably should find a diplomatic way to politely decline to answer it-but then again you might not want to work for someplace that has no knowledge of off-limits questions during interviews. I didn't know that Ravi and Ana had already released a new one! I really miss their workouts. Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

Kel-Awwwwww, I really feel for the tough time you are having. What can I do to make you feel better? Hmmmm...your new avatar is cute! You really do look like a Hip Chick! :) :) :) You've got a good mindset going. Just work the areas you can. It's the only way you will keep feeling decent and it's something to help stay focused and pass the time until you are healed. I have read a lot about others' setbacks and how it sidelined them for a long time...and they regretted it because they just stopped exercising completely and gave in to their feelings. It's fine to do that to a certain extent, because it is a tough situation, but you ultimately don't want to lose all the progress you have made. That is really sad about your friend...but it sure will be great to visit her at the beach. I need a friend like that! I am going through something similar at work. My friend of many years is leaving for another job. We eat lunch together and usually find something to laugh about every day. I will still see her, but my days will be very different from now on.

Have a great night ladies! Gotta go do some reading for work. I have to come up with some good interviewing "put 'em in the hot seat questions"! Hey, who said HR people can't have a little fun, right? :)
