Trying to Fit Yoga in For Tues October 30

Morning Ladies -

I gotta be fast, as I dried my hair and it looks like crap. First time in my life that I called the Salon and asked them to make it look better, so I'm going back in at 9:00 am. I'm a bit embarrased but I showed her a picture of a long shaggy look and I don't have near the amount of layers that are in the picture and it looks choppy and yucky.

This morning I did Kelly Coffey Myers Step Kickboxing. I followed better, but not perfect. Was even more fun and I LOVE the music....especially the last combo and music!! It's freakin' great and so is the calorie burn.......714 calories in 74". My new HRM is surely giving me slightly higher reads than my old one. I wonder which one is accurate? By how fat I am, I assume it was the old one!! LOL. I did the end kneeling punching sequence kneeling on the foam roller with 2 pound hand weights.

I also did Lotte Berk Essentials blast 10". Kundalini Yoga - Quick Fix - Balance & Joy (liked this one), Bye Bye Back Pain and Yoga To Go for Back Pain and Soothe and Release segments. I have a migraine and low back pain......it's TTOTM in 2 days!! JOY.....just in time for the new job, as usual.

No time for personals..........I'll be back later. Have to get ready to leave.

Tomorrow's my first day of work....only 4 hours though. I can do that standing on my head. I'll probably get spoiled working part-time.....too bad I can't do that forever!
 
Good morning everyone.

This morning, I did BC plus biceps/triceps. Wow, I really liked this one... & I think I'll probably be sore from it tomorrow too so that's good. This is my first time working body parts & I'm really enjoying it. I've worked upper & lower before but never broken the individual body parts out like this so I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of results & gains I get from this type of rotation. I was up too late last night b/c my DH had a conference call so I'm a bit tired today but I used that time to preview & practice the new LIS & HIS some more so I feel a lot more confident about those 2 now.

I looked online & my BBC shipped today! It went out UPS so maybe I'll get it sooner than previously expected. I'm really looking forward to getting those!

Lora - Sorry about your hair. I hope they get it fixed the way you want it. My hairstyle is very boring & I never change it, even though I'd love to have a more updated style sometimes. It's just long with bangs but at least it's easy. GREAT workout & calorie burn this morning! Good luck at your first day of work tomorrow. What time do you go in? Do you think there's a possibility that this job could turn into a full time position someday?

Jen - Great workout last night! Sorry you didn't like that Jillian kickboxing workout that much but it still sounds like something you might use from time to time. I have a bunch of older workouts like that & find that I still use them occasionally. Yay for BBC! I am really looking forward to getting those DVDs after everything I've seen posted about them. I think it would be fun to start a rotation together too. LOL about the smoke coming off my cc's. Don't worry, they're starting to cool off now...

Yve - Hope you're starting to feel more rested from the busy time you're having in your life right now. Wow, it sounds like you're really fitting in a lot of yoga & pilates. That's great! I plan to do only yoga on Friday & I'm thinking about trying a routine from Yoga for Happiness but I also have 2 other new DVDs so I'm not sure. I hope you get the heat fixed in your condo soon. I bet you're freezing!

Jen - I did Rhythmic Step once and threw my hands up and never reached for it again! Some day- I'll have to try it again. I like Jillian's Kickbox to add on to a weight day and I usually listen to my own music cuz it's easy enough to follow. I like it enough to do it once in a while, but it's not as much fun as Kelly's StepBoxing!!

Kel - Glad you're enjoying the new DVDs. I want to play with them a bit more, but I don't know if I want to do cardio every day and the premixes are sort of long.......and now that I'm starting my new job....I won't have as much time to work out. I start at 9:00 am tomorrow, but I haven't been getting up super early, so I'm not sure I'll be able to get up and get back on my normal "quick moving" morning routine very fast! I'm really nervous about everything. I have these visions of me failing at this and them telling me it's not working out and letting me go. I guess part of that is paranoia....but can you blame me with what I've been thru with these jobs?

Yve - hope you got your heat fixed. I know it's getting cold here...was only in the 30's this AM....so I know it's cold up there.

I got my hair more layered, but now it's a bit too thin and scraggly....but I can't blame the girl who did it cuz she was just trying to fix the other mess. I'm going to need to gather some pic's up to take and show her of how I really want it. At least I got all of the dead and damaged stuff off and it will grow. It's a shaggy cut that just skims my shoulders. Shorter layers on top cuz with my small features, longer layers on top seem to drag my face down and make me appear older........if that makes any sense.
